Excellent apartment.

This apartment is superb. Very clean and modern with little extra touches that makes it feel very homely. Perfectly situated in the centre of Buxton with car parks nearby. We would definitely recommend and we will be returning.

Very comfortable well-appointed apartment in ideal central location.

Very central location with car parks close by. All town facilities were within very easy walking distance and it was an ideal venue to take in a show at the Opera House, have a walk in the main park or to experience the wide variety of restaurants and bars around town. Well-appointed apartment with lots of well-thought out additions from the host.

Actual description of location of apartment could be improved a little.... Satnav took us a bit further down the main street initially so we parked up and then had to walk up and down the high street a couple of times to find it in a side street off the main shopping street.. perhaps explain in instructions that the key boxes and main entry door are actually behind the XX Coffee shop and across the road from the XX Indian restaurant, and that the apartment is actually accessed from XX side street, rather than the main street address given. Got disturbed at 7.30am on the Saturday morning by a commercial window cleaner banging his window cleaning equipment on the two 1st floor bedroom windows... not ideal to be waking up guests at that time, but outside the control of the apartment owners.

Good communication prior to our stay. Great location. Short walk to railway station, tourist attractions, good choice of restaurant and bars. Well thought out. Good shower after long day out with supply of all toiletries required. King size bed a bonus. Games, books and leaflets useful. Catherine, the hostess, was brilliant at sorting out my ‘dates mistake’. Didn’t have an issue with the stairs as in previous reviews - wide with handrails.

Would have preferred the option of different thickness of pillows. The sofa back was too low for us but that’s a personal preference and there were cushions to make ourselves comfortable.

Great place from which to explore Buxton and surrounds.

It was well equipped, very comfortable and in a great location. Excellent shower and bed. Netflix was a nice touch.

The stairs were a bit of a struggle with suitcases, parking arrangements were not ideal. It got a bit of noise from the street even with the windows closed.

Great value stay, close to train station

Property is a 5 min walk from train station. It has been newly renovated to a very high standard. Feels very homely with great spaces for two people. Host is kind and offered lots of advice on how to get the best out of our stay. Apartment backs on to mall that has plenty of specialty shopping and very close to places of historical significance. Great food! Lots of options for eating out with great restaurants and pubs to choose from.

Although newly renovated, flat is in an older style building and up some stairs.

Loverly layout. Very comfortable. Clean well presented. Used kitchen for breakfast. All equipment worked well. We throughly enjoy our time in Buxton and it was enhanced by our stay at this property.

Suggest a small tray under washing up rack to collect water from wet dishes.

Great location, comfortable apartment with queen bed

Fantastic location in the centre of Buxton. Comfortable apartment with very well equipped kitchen. Clean and thoughtfully updated throughout with good lighting. Queen bed was comfortable. Parking only about 150 metres away and reasonably priced using High Peaks Council Rover Pass.

The property is advertised as having an extra large bed (180-210cm) but it is only 150cm. Hot water system should be on a thermostat and timer rather than having to turn it on for an hour when it ran out, or trying to judge how long to leave it on before it ran out but without it overheating. Some noise at night from the street below but it wasn't a major problem.

The apartment was spotless, smelt amazing and the bed was so comfy! Every appliance we needed was in the apartment and great communication with the host.

A Gem of a Place to Stay

We had a lovely time at this venue. The apartment was beautiful, modern yet homely and welcoming. It was a wonderful stay made all the better by the apartment's great location. It was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended. Lots to do and see all very close by and a delightful apartment with lots of lovely finishing touches to come back to at the end of super sight seeing days. The host was timely with relevant messages and information to assist us with a successful break. Karen

Theatre and walking weekender

The central location and any questions were quickly sorted by our host whuch was much appreciated.

I can honestly say there was nothing I didn't like about the place, ice in the freezer, tea bags and milk for a nice cuppa to get me started without having to shop.

Great first visit to Buxton.

Beautiful apartment, ideally located only minute or two away from the historic centre of Buxton and close to bars, restaurants and shops. Loved the privacy and space. Everything you could want in the apartment. Excellent communication from a very friendly host and information folder in apartment on arrival.

Beyond the control of the apartment owner but between early morning street cleaners and 6am refuse collectors our sleep was disturbed. Will take ear plugs next time!

What an amazing apartment!! Great place to stay in the centre of Buxton, shops and restaurants all within a few minutes walking distance. The apartment its self was like home from home, everything you need! From the moment we walked in it smelt amazing. Apartment had all mod cons to a high standard. The bedding and towels smelt amazing and nice to have a full size bath sheet rather than a small towel. Beautiful bathroom with waterfall shower which was lovely. All the restaurants in the area have a high standard and high reviews which we took advantage of. The hosts were very informative and friendly and made the apartment feel very warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend a stay here and would certainly love to visit again.

An excellent well-equipped modern apartment in a great location near the centre of Buxton

The apartment has a superb location near the middle of Buxton close to shops and takeaways. It is only a few minutes walk from the central gardens and the Opera House. It is modern, clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The shower is superb. Communication from Catherine was friendly and very helpful.

Wonderful apartment. Great location. Good value fir money. Excellent host.

Apartment is beautifully and tastefully decorated and very well kitted out. It was completely renovated in 2022. Bed is very comfortable. Shower is ultra modern. TVs are provided in both the bedroom and lounge. A selection of books and board games are provided in the lounge, too. Wifi worked well- no issues at all. Instruction booklet provided in the apartment is very informative. The owner is well organised and communicates very effectively. The apartment’s location is excellent.

Personally, I am not a great fan of small decorative containers filled with scented oils (found in all rooms of the apartment) nor of the use of perfumed laundry products on towels and bedding. I prefer a neutral environment in this respect. The apartment is above a coffee shop. When its owner opens up (at about 7.00 a.m. on a Saturday- don’t know when it is opened up on weekdays) it is a little noisy- but only for for a very short period of time. However, in my view, this is a very small price to pay for the apartment’s excellent location with its close proximity to shops, restaurants, the opera house and the train station.

Stunning Apartment Centrally located

This apartment is stunning, finished to a very high standard with all the amenities you need. Perfect location to enjoy everything Buxton has to offer as well as the surrounding areas. The bed is amazing, slept so well, the towels smelt divine and were fluffy and soft, everything is such good quality. Highly recommend the property and will definitely stay again on our next trip to Buxton. The owner Catherine answered all questions prior to arrival and the booklet in the apartment has all the information required for your stay
