A big tokay gecko got into our room and it was a bit of challenge to get it out.

European first time in Bali
- The owners are very friendly and helpful
- Swimming pool is awesome, clean.
- The room is large, they clean it every 2 days.
- For europeans, get used to have ants & geckos in your room, it's part of the nature. đ
- The smell inside. I had to wash again all my clothes after I left.
- The sheets are clean, but unfortunately stained.

Nice location, comfy bed, nice pool, but would not stay again unless bathroom issues are fixed.
Bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning and wifi worked great. Nice quiet family compound off the main road - you walk down a narrow alley to get to property, but not very far and felt very safe day and night.
The bathroom needs addressing. Everything works, but slate floor reeks of urine when it gets wet. One wall has a 6 inch gap at the top - open to the outside. Not unusual for Bali, but there is no screen. Looks like there was a screen at one time, but no longer. Mosquitoes, roaches and geckos came in at night - just a few, but one roach is too many!! porous stone backsplash in shower is black from mold/mildew. They put a napthalene ball on the drain, and the smell was over powering. Felt unhealthy to be in there.

Staff were so kind and friendly! Pool was really nice. Good location near bars and restaurants. Approx. 10 minute walk from main street.
Only minor thing was there were a few ants in the bathroom around the sink.

Wonderful peaceful place to stay to experience Balinese culture and hospitality.
It is a great stay in PGS homestay. The host was very friendly and helpful.
It is a nice quiet place with only total 4 rooms, so it felt so private. Breakfast was great, although we needed to order a day in advance.
The place was amazing- it is a heritage mini complex building with the family residence and temples.
Wifi connection was great - we managed to have video calls with the UK.
The host helped us getting tickets for kecak dance, as well as dropping my daughter to the venue as she couldn't join at the very start.
We really enjoyed the stay - this was exactly what we're looking for, to experience the Balinese culture and hospitality.
We kept forgetting to order breakfast a day before - so one day we didnt have our favourite mie goreng there, but this was our fault.
The water pressure upstairs was not that great - but it was good enough to have a good shower.

Great homestay off Jl Bisma near the centre of Ubud.
Great homestay with four rooms at the other end of the family compound to their own quarters. The family are lovely and welcoming. The pool is great. The location is peaceful (except for a bit of muffled live music in the evenings from the main street). It's a really interesting part of Ubud, just near the main street of Jl Raya Ubud, but enough away from it for respite. The pool is refreshing with sunbeds in both sun and shade, and you often have the pool to yourself while other tourists are out on tours for the day. There are some lovely back lanes and paths to explore nearby, and ricefield walks (Sweet Orange walk, and Sari Organic walk). The room and the seating out front were comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at PGS Homestay!
Nasi goreng was out favorite among the breakfast choices. For only 50,000 IDR, the breakfast meal included fruits and coffee or tea
If only I would pick something to dislike then it is the location; i wish it could be a little bit closer to the main road. However, the big room, bigger shower room cum walk-in closet, the pool, and of course the wonderful hosts, made up for short walk.

A wonderful and heartwarming stay that made us feel right at home in the heart of Ubud.
PGS Home Stay was perfect for our family trip to Bali. The hosts were amazing, and the property was excellent. They treated us like part of their family and made sure we had all the comforts we needed. The property was clean and well-maintained with daily cleaning. Itâs also located in the heart of Ubud, just minutes away from many temples and local attractions. Plus, itâs conveniently close to numerous restaurants.

Fantastic!
I really enjoyed my stay at PGS Homestay! The location is perfect, on a lovely side street off the main road, beautiful tropical garden with a pool that is always quiet. The family are super sweet and I extended my stay for 1 night with no problem! It was also the most comfortable bed I slept in in Bali
The only minor thing is that the walls needed a touch up of paint, but no issue for us!

The family made us feel so welcome and looked after us from the moment they picked us up from the airport to dropping us off at the ferry port for the next leg of our journey. Delicious breakfast for a great price and the pool was amazing after hot days out in Ubud.

This place became my home away from home â¤ď¸
The minute I entered, I felt the serenity of this place. Although it is situated close to the Ubud center, you don't hear any traffic noise there. The guest house only has 4 rooms, so it is calm and you can enjoy the beautiful pool area and the garden view from your own terrace/balcony. Most of the time I had the pool for myself!
My room was clean, big, with a big bathroom, hot shower with good water pressure! The air conditioner works great, the queen-sized bed is so comfy, very good pillows and blanket. Everything is clean and well maintained. There is free drinking water and a water heater in the room to prepare tea or coffee. You get great value for a surprisingly low price.
But what makes this place truly special is the family who is running it! I am endlessly grateful for their warm-hearted welcome and during my stay. I've learned a lot about Balinese culture from them. Mrs. Bunik and Putu Desy showed me how to do the offerings and lend me the Balinese traditional clothes so that I could enter the temple. They also informed me whenever there were any local ceremonies so that I would not miss them. Putu Desy surprised me with green pancakes for breakfast several times.
The level of engagement is up to you. If you ask and show interest, they are happy to talk, if you prefer to be left alone, they respect it. The family lives on the other side of the property, so you don't even hear them at the guest house.
I would highly recommend this beautiful home stay and will always come back when in Bali. Thank you so much for making my stay a true treasure, my dear Mrs. Bunik, Mr. David, Yande and Putu Desy, you won my heart đâ¤ď¸

Sehr gute Wahl in Ubud
Ruhig gelegen in einer Seitengasse und doch nur wenige Minuten von Restaurants und Geschäften entfernt. Ich war leider krank während meines Aufenthaltes und es war der beste Ort um krank zu sein! Sauberkeit top.
Am Pool sind leider sehr viele Ameisen, sich hier aufzuhalten macht wenig Freude, obwohl der Pool toll ist. Aber das gehĂśrt zum Klima und zur Vegetation dazu.

IdÊalement situÊe. Famille très gentille. Les chambres Êtaient propres, moustiquaire, eau, frigo, grand salle de bain (avec filets sur les fenêtres ouvertes donc pas de risque de prÊsence animale). La piscine en fin de journÊe rajoute un plus!

Lâemplacement est idĂŠal, proche de tout. La famille qui gère les lieux est dâune gentillesse incroyable : toujours souriante, disponible et pleine de bons conseils pour les excursions. Les petits-dĂŠjeuners sont dĂŠlicieux, la chambre est confortable, la piscine invite Ă la dĂŠtente, et le calme environnant en fait un vĂŠritable petit paradis en plein cĹur dâUbud.
