We stayed here for 7 days. The Happy Inn 2 was in a quiet off street location with no traffic, so no noise when sleeping, but it was also only a short walk from some really great restaurants and shops.
It had everything we needed and the staff, Ayu and Wayan, were really friendly, happy and helpful. We loved our daily swim in the very clean pool and our lovely tasty cooked breakfast afterwards. Nothing was too much trouble. We thoroughly recommend this place and would definitely stay again. Very personal and homely.
We loved pretty much everything about the Happy Inn 2, initially we were a bit confused about the self catering facilities, ie cooktop pots and pans, which we thought were in each room but there was actually a small communal room for everyone to use these things. We had planned to cook our own meals but came to the conclusion that there were that many great cheap restaurants around we didn’t actually need to cook so it wasn’t a problem. Rooms could do with some permanent plates, glasses, knives, forks and spoons but on saying this if we ever wanted anything we only had to ask Wayan he got us these things no worries.

Had a super pleasant stay! I arrived at the hotel at 1am, and upon arrival the owner and my taxi driver helped me carry my suitcases to my room (I had 3). Because I arrived so late, she let me handle the payment and passport things the next morning which was super nice. The breakfast is made as you order, so it's fresh and hot and super delicious. The son usually handles the breakfast, and both he and his mom are so kind and really wonderful to talk to. The room, including the bathroom, was nice, big, and clean, and it had a large fridge and water tank. Overall, I had a really amazing time and would recommend for anyone to come here if you're looking for a central location in Ubud with kind owners, good food and great room.

The pool was good. 4 loungers, never had to compete with anyone. Bed was pretty comfortable, decent water pressure in the shower. Very lovely staff. Breakfast was good. for the price, it was fine but I was disappointed in not receiving what was advertised and not compensated when it was not delivered.
I specifically booked a room with a kitchen so I could do some cooking. My booking said I would have one and everything. I did not. I was very upset. I asked them about it and was told that my room didn’t have one and that no others were available. They tried to make it better after my second complaint by offering me a communal kitchen, which I tried to use but it was infested with bugs, smelled like pee and only had one pot and one pan, no lids, no utensils, no plates/bowls. So i did not feel comfortable using it, after buying food to cook. It was overall fine for the price and if you were just hoping for a private room but not great if you are expecting a kitchen.
