Ubud Rice Field House

Ubud Rice Field House has a very different kind of charm — it feels less like simply booking a room and more like stepping into a small community of travellers and explorers. What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere. There was a genuine backpacker and traveller vibe, with people sharing stories, recommendations, travel experiences and ideas about where to go next. That kind of interaction adds so much to a trip, especially when you are exploring a place like Ubud. The reception team was excellent — welcoming, helpful and easy to approach. The tour desk was also a real highlight. They were very good at helping with local activities, transport and ideas for exploring the area, which makes a big difference when you want to experience more than just the usual tourist spots. It is the kind of place where you can arrive without knowing anyone and quite easily find yourself having conversations with travellers from completely different parts of the world.

Nothing major from my experience. Just keep in mind that this is a place with a social, traveller-oriented atmosphere, so it may suit backpackers and explorers more than someone looking for a very private luxury-hotel experience.

Gorgeous hostel with lovely workers there, decent breakfast and right in the heart of Ubud at a good price.

Not very social, could have events on a lot more for people to meet

The pool is really nice, good breakfast that is free, the staff are sooo nice and friendly. It’s not a party hostel so it’s possible to get some sleep and the people I met there were great.

I had such a peaceful and enjoyable stay at Ubud Rice Field House. What truly made this place special was the staff, they were all incredibly kind, helpful and thoughtful throughout my stay. Their warm hospitality made me feel right at home. The breakfast was generous and delicious and I really enjoyed the yoga classes and the free dinner. These activities made it so easy to meet other like-minded travelers and created a wonderful sense of community. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and welcoming hostel in Ubud!

The only thing I noticed that could use some attention is the mold on the walls in the dorm room. Aside from that, everything exceeded my expectations.
