Another lovely stay

This is the 3rd time I've stayed here - the rooms are a good size, the bed is comfortable and there's a nice terrace. Having a fridge is a definite plus. On previous visits I'd mentioned that a full length mirror would be good, so I was pleased to see they now have these. The staff are lovely and friendly and it's a good location to walk to the main areas of Ubud.

Lovely little boutique hotel. Rooms are huge with great air conditioning. The staff are great and organised scooter hire and transport to Sanur. The pool is very refreshing. Location is great, lots of food options and shops with a stones throw.

Nothing we didn't like. The room didn't have a TV but we knew that before staying it wasn't an issue.

The cleaning and fresh towels and linen every 3 days was good.

This room's bathroom is wonderful. The only small thing is the shower floor was not made too well, it doesn't slope down towards the drain, so water stays in the part closer to the toilet and if not mopped up or squeegeed it quickly gets stinky and slippery. Perhaps a squeegee needs to be provided in the shower so people can opt to do this after they shower.

Pleasant stay.

The bathroom was very lovely for the price we paid. Nice and spacious room. In quiet road with lots of restaurants and coffee shops away from the business of Ubud but within close enough walking distance to get to it all. Staff also decorated the room nicely on our anniversary so that was greatly appreciated.

I think the pool was a lot smaller than it looked on pictures but pleasant enough. Overall not too much negative to report. You get what you pay for :)

Great location, easy access to the city and lots of cafes & restaurants & massage places just walking distance. Property is located close to the main road so no need to walk down any dark alleys.

The view from the room was not as advertised as there is construction next door which now blocks the lovely view in the photos.

Lovely place with nice people and close to where it all happens.

Pondok Tamiu is located on Jalan Bisma a perfect street for getting your everyday needs, very good food and in short distance of everything Ubud has to offer. Tamiu has a very nice little pool, and the entrance is turned away from the street, so in the evening you won't really get bothered from street trafic. The place doesn't offer a safe for your belongings, but has a fine closet with keys, and we almost even didn't find it necessary to lock that. With the family and other travellers there almost all of the time, your stuff is safe.

Bed were a little hard too hard for our style, and the vent in the bathroom could do with a look over. A little noisy when going to the bathrooom.

Super Bad Experience — NOT Recommended !!!!

The hotel is located in a narrow street, which already makes accessing it a bit difficult. The moment we entered the room, we noticed everything was DIRTY and OILY — the floor was oily underfoot, the toilet bowl, basin, and even the mattress felt oily. The lighting in the room was very dim, adding to the unpleasant atmosphere. Half of the power plugs didn’t work, which made it even more frustrating. We originally booked for two nights, but after just a couple of hours’ rest on the first night, we decided we couldn’t stay and checked out immediately. Overall, a really bad experience — I do not recommend staying here.

Room was gloomy and damp

The only thing I appreciated about this place was its location—it’s situated on a busy street, but tucked away in a small alley, which makes access a bit inconvenient. However, once you step out of the villa, you're surrounded by cafés and restaurants. That’s the one redeeming point.

My friends and I didn’t like this place. The room felt gloomy, especially the bathroom, which was very dimly lit—it gave off a very dirty feeling. The bathroom shelves were completely rusty and unusable. The room was damp and had a strange smell. The bed sheets were rough and didn’t feel clean, with some visible stains as well. Overall, it was really a disappointing experience.

WE LOVE IT

this is a nice place to stay. Love how quite it is and how convenient it is. everything is actually just outside this villa. The way to travel in UBUD is GOJEK. Because Jalan Raya can be very congested and you don't wanna be stuck in the car for hours.

Great location and everything very walkable but far enough away from all the hustle & bustle. The pool area is very pretty and quite intimate, although you do lose the sun in the afternoon. We were welcomed and taken to a spacious room and was advised if we needed the room to be cleaned then to let reception know. We did this once and the room was cleaned immediately. The room had a fridge and a large balcony overlooking the pool. An airer is also provided to dry towels, etc. It is also located next to a beautiful rice field. Would stay again.

Other reviewers have said the rooms do need a full length mirror and I do agree with this. Small things such as the towels and bedding being replaced, as they look quite tired, and the rusted shower shelf in the bathroom could also do with replacing. By changing these things could take this place to another level.

Absolutely great

Fantastic value for money. I booked this place last minute, on the same night, as there were problems with my original accommodation. This place did not disappoint. Clean, spacious, nice furniture, super friendly staff, the location is superb! One of the cosiest streets in Ubud, full of cool restaurants and bars, yet not too noisy. Would love to be back.

Good location with friendly staff but accommodation needs to be freshened up

The location was very good, close to cafes, monkey forest, shops, markets and tourist attractions such as the Compuchan ridge walk. The staff were very helpful when I was feeling unwell for a couple of days.

Our room had a damp smell and the bathroom could have been kept cleaner.

Location is great, Bisma area is really nice. Great restaurants nearby , 10-15 minutes walk to the Monkey Forest.

Pictures are not reflecting the reality at all. Patio and pool are really small, pool is never on the sunlight. Room is dark. Very noisy (construction works nearby , people arriving to the hotel late night or early morning, dogs barking outside). It is okay for a few nights stay , not longer

Really nice location - easy walking distance to the main streets in Ubud! Room is big and clean - would be nice if there was a tv in the room! Staff were very friendly and even offered to sort a taxi out for us when ours was late! The pool is gorgeous. Fantastic value for money
