Cozy in the heart of Bisma

We love staying here when we get to Ubud. Right in the center of Bisma however nice and quiet down the alleyway. Enjoy large rooms with big massive balconies overlooking their jungle garden ( they propagate many unique and rarer varieties of plant themselves). We have also decided Wayan hands down serves the best breakfast in all of Bisma! We will be back!

Beautiful lush hide-away

Quiet location but still central. Can walk to Monkey Forest. Lovely spacious room and Wayan was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful garden and wonderful breakfast (ordered via whatsapp and delivered to your room at required time). The pool was refreshing and cool.

Everything!! Wayan was an impeccable host. Our most favourite place to stay — fantastic breakfast, hosting, location. The rooms were huge, comfortable and beautiful. We loved the location and will definitely return!!

No accesible direct from the main road so if you have heavy bags it is a little walk from the car drop off. We also wished the pool was cleaned out (had a lot of leaves from the beautiful garden) so we didnt use the pool.

Excellent location and very friendly staff

Wayan and his wife were very friendly and approachable. The location is excellent - far enough away from the main street, but only a short walk The room was dated, but very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious

The host was amazing, very accommodating and the breakfast delivery was gorgeous.

Nothing to say we didn’t like, the place was beautiful for the 2 days we stayed there. It is a bit tricky to find on maps, but that’s no one’s fault

Great accommodation in central Ubud

A wonderful accommodation, quiet yet central, only 15-minute walk to Ubud Monkey Forest, lovely "dschungel" garden, good and fresh breakfast served on one's terrace, nice and very helpful owner, who also explained a lot of Bali culture and way of life to us. Thanks a lot!

Simply delightful

A peaceful stay in Ubud despite being very central to explore by foot. The beds were comfortable, breakfasts tasty and we were well looked after throughout our stay. The gorgeous pet dogs were an added treat! We would recommend this delightful place to stay.

Good location, basic but clean room. Nice breakfast, gardens and pool, bed was comfortable. LookGreat no frills accommodation.

Great place to stay as a Bed and Breakfast - more of a home stay.

Stayed here for 3 nights with our two children. Booked two rooms. Quiet location off the main streets. Pool was great, refreshing. Host was lovely and great to chat to. We look forward to visiting his cafe that is being built on street front in the future.

Some pool chairs around the pool but shady as amongst tall trees so didn’t sit around sunbathing. We felt plants overgrown so sun couldn’t get in. Down stairs room seemed to have been upgraded with new toilet/shower. Upstairs had older facilities. Hosts small dogs would bark at anyone who came into premises.

Amazing host and location for a great price, would come back!

Wayan was a great host, he made a delicious fresh breakfast every day and was very nice and accommodating in general. Communication was smooth through WhatsApp. The place had a great location in Ubud, close to the centre while still being quiet and calm. We could also walk to the monkey forest. For the price we would definitely choose Tanah Semujan again!

The bathtub with shower took some time to drain, not a big issue for us but the standard of the bathroom could have been higher.

When staying in Ubud again would definitely come back <3

Very good setting to rest after a long day exploring the city - with a pool and a beautiful garden, quiet but at the same time very close to the downtown area. 15-20 mins walk to many touristic destinations. I stayed on the 2nd floor and woke up to birds singing. Staying three nights I had three different breakfast choices from the menu and everything was so tasty - like eating in a restaurant. Wayan was also super helpful with requests for trips or transfers and easily available via WhatsApp or around the house.

Nice little family run guesthouse with best breakfast in 2 months

Had a very pleasant stay. Quiet location, nice jungle view and the best breakfast I had in two months traveling in Bali. The location is very central, making everything within walking distance. Yet, there was no noise from the streets or restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. Ideal place to stay in Ubud.

While the homemade breakfast is top quality, the cleaning has some room for improvement.

It’s nice and quiet it about 2 blocks walk to the Main Street. It’s very convenient restaurants and shops! Wayan and his wife are wonderful hosts. The room is simple and clean.

Memorable trip to Ubud

Jln Bisma particularly some villas do not have direct car access. Be prepare to walk with your luggage.

We had a lovely time

This property has the best breakfast, we stayed in 3 places while in Bali, but Wayan served the best one. The wifi connection and internet speed was great, the communication with the host was very easy. From the pictures you can see that the rooms are not modern, but they are clean (the bathroom could take a renovation). If you are not for the lux, then totally recommend the place, good and cheap massage places near the apartment, restaurants, warungs, walkable distance the center street and the monkey forest. Btw: the pool looked clean, but we didn't had time to try it.

If the toilet seat could be changed, it would enhance the bathroom.

Fantastic holiday break

Facilities were excellent, close to night-life area but far enough away not to be intrusive. All the tours were close so not in Bali traffic for hours. The owner Wayne was excellent, always helpful and cheerful, can't say enough.

Only the journey back to the airport to be leaving definately will be back.

Secluded hideaway in the middle of Ubud

A traditional style Balinese hotel with only a few rooms which were spacious and had a fridge and coffee making facilities. We loved the large terrace which overlooked a spectacular garden. Wayan our host prepared a beautiful breakfast for us every morning. The hotel was quiet and secluded and just a three minute stroll to all that Ubud had to offer.

Nice room & bathroom, decent breakfast, friendly family owners. Nice patio With squirrels that visit in the morning.

Pool area needs work Gardens are totally overgrown, dead branches not pruned. Potential to be nice like booking. Com photos. deck majorly broken when turned up (although Wayan did fix it when I complained a lot as it wasn't safe) pillows rock hard (bring your own) place getting run down. Family needs to clear away their personal stuff off 2 patios so it looks like a resort not a family home.

Amazing host, great room and overall atmosphere, delicious and nutritious food

Pretty much everything...The room was spacious, with good air-conditioning, nice view, comfortable bed and quiet surroundings. The host Wayan and his family are amazing and very kind, doing everything to help you have the best time - cooking delicious breakfast every morning, advice on stuff to do and places to visit, helps with booking tours or finding drivers, assisting with laundry. The pool is nice and clean and the decorations make for a great relaxing Balinese experience.

Only that we didn't spend more time in there.

That is a good spot to stay

This is a very nice small hotel which is lead by Wayan. The room was spacy enough, bed was comfortable and breakfast really delicious. The owner is very kind, helpful and open.

Although we were happy to stay, I would like to point out that some terrace boards in swimming pool area were broken and loose. We did not be aware that the garden is more wild and there are more mosquitos and other insects than expected.
