Well located hotel with a great pool area. I asked to be moved because of noise from cleaners around the vicinity in my garden suite and this was done with minimum fuss. The staff were lovely.
Quite a slippery wooden floor in room and trying to find the right light switches. Bathroom awkward layout due to wooden tub taking up most of the floor space.

Vila is great for a mix of private, luxurious comfort + a central Ubud location, with standout service, lovely design, its own pool, and easy access to local culture and dining.

The top floor forest suite which we stayed in had an incredible view- and we could hear the river below during the entire stay. The japanese soaking tubs were also really amazing. Lots of healthy options for breakfast, and we really enjoyed yoga and learning balinese style dancing (which is MUCH harder than it looks).

The hotel is gorgeous, with an amazing view of the jungle and the food is delicious .
The real plus though is the hotel personnel.
We cannot thank enough every single member of the staff who made our stay perfect and memorable!

An incredible 5 star space with an awesome, luxurious infinity pool that has one of the best views over a 30 meter drop into the bamboo jungle at the back of the space.
Great breakfast and incredibly friendly front desk staff who went above and beyond in service.
We were upgraded to a forest room at the back of the property and it was very delightful and the room was very spacious.
Walkable to some of the best restaurants in Ubud including "Watercress", "Zest", "Chora" and "Tis Cafe, "Honey & Smoke", "Portofino" and "Shrida" (among many others). Everything is very close by including a Circle K for quick 7/11 supplies, Acai Queen for some top-notch frozen yoghurt, and some of the best, most professional massage places in all of Ubud.
Also their dinner at the in-house Copper Kitchen is very classy and the pork ribs were yum, yum, sticky gooey wonder worthy of some of the best steak houses in Georgia.
Nothing.

The villa was large (enormous), cleaned and serviced numerous times a day, quiet and the coffee machine was a nice bonus. Staff were incredibly helpful and we're happy to assist with anything. Breakfast was good - although I personally would have preferred to see more Indonesian options on the menu. The location was excellent - a short stroll to the monkey forest via a small lane way which also connects to one of the main streets in Ubud. Gym was small however perfectly adequate for quick workout.
The mosquitos. The main living areas of the villa do not have walls (open). While we have no issue with this in principal and were aware of this when booking, there are literally LOTS of mosquitos in and around the villa which make their way into the rooms. There were no mosquito coils or other applications seen in other similar properties. The provided mosquito repellent didn't do much with mum and daughter getting hammered - resulting in heaps of swollen bites. I highly recommend this is reviewed by management with additional preventative measures implemented as this did negatively impact our stay. Everything else as mentioned was fantastic.

Beautiful design and elegance; calm and wonderful staff
There was a major rain our first evening. The front of the unit (107) backed up with water (no effect on room) so we couldn’t easily walk out. So the bellboy delivered our take out delivery-very gracious.

Super Modern, I’m a clean freak so 10/10 there. The food, the views- o my goodness! Will cherish these memories. And the interior and architecture. I cannot find a single negative moment Alhamdollilah! The staff super helpful and super sweet and patient as well.
I can’t think of anything

This is a really beautiful boutique hotel and sanctuary that allows you to escape from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Location is good and staff are amazing.
We have to particularly thank Liong, who was our most amazing driver, tour guide and local recommendations guru throughout our stay. Such a kind man and a very safe and good driver too. We did a half day trip with him and he also recommended restaurants and took us to the port on our departure. Thank you!
Maya and the team in the restaurant/ breakfast space were also lovely and very attentive. Thank you to the whole Bisma team.
To top it all off we had a wonderful massage treatment at their spa, which was very relaxing.
Nothing in the property, you just have to stay mindful of the taxes and service charges, which we took a while to get used to.

We loved everything about Bisma Eight. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like - it was a wonderful experience from start to finish and we wish we booked to stay longer!
- The staff were so kind and friendly, and really couldn’t do enough to help.
- Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection to choose from.
- Our rainforest suite was truly magical!
- The Infinity pool was a wonderful experience on the rooftop.
- The gym was very well equipped and we wish we could have stayed longer to use it more.
- The cleanliness of the room, the attention to detail from the staff and the adorable bedtime gestures in our room were so appreciated.
- The staff organised us a tasty breakfast box to take with us to the airport as we had an early flight.

It’s a beautiful hotel, with lush greenery and stunning views over the jungle valley. The rooms are huge and the giant barrel bath was such a lovely experience. I really can’t fault the rooms at all! All the staff are wonderful, and we loved going up for breakfast on the rooftop each morning, it was so relaxing.
The pool is fantastic (although a little chilly!!) with excellent food and drink and plenty of loungers. We had such a lovely relaxing time.
It’s not the hotels fault, but the centre of ubud has just got so crazy busy with people and traffic that it now feels a little grubby and stressful. It’s such a shame seeing it get to this as it makes for a really unpleasant experience trying to walk around. With Bisma being a central hotel, it’s very close to all of this which is great for access to restaurants and central activities etc, but just means the hotel surroundings are fairly chaotic. The hotel does feel like a little oasis, but equally it is a small hotel with little grounds to walk around and get a nice Bali zen feeling.

That the villa is open, and not muslim friendly. Sometimes my wife has to wear hijab in the villa. Also the villa is open and sometimes monkeys or other animals come and we cannot sit in the living room comfortably. My wife was scared the whole time cause we once saw a monkey outside in our villa and we had to rush upstairs

I have visited the hotel in 2015, villas right after it opened in 2020 and now again in 2025. The villas and forest room were lovely with fantastic bfast and complimentary yoga classes. Service especially at the villa was exceptional, in particular Anyun who escorted us on a day trip.
While there are no complaints on the villa, I have noticed some facilities looking a bit tired like the bathroom faucets. Bathroom products were not my personal favorite scents but this may come down to preference.

This hotel is beautifully decorated and very peaceful, considering the chaos of Ubud centre. You can really slow down here. The pool views are incredible, the outdoor breakfast sitting area is very relaxing, and the a-la carte breakfast offers enough options and is very tasty.
I tried one Yoga class during my short stay, which was really good and a nice complementary activity to offer to guests.
One day we forgot out wallet in the room before going out for our Ubud tour, and the front desk staff were incredible in finding it and keeping it safe until we returned at the end of the day.
I know it’s not the hotel’s fault, but the traffic heading to the hotel on our arrival date was just insane. I wish there was an alternative road to avoid it. However, there are dinner and massage options really close to the hotel, so you don’t need to get caught up in the confusion once you’re already there.

Location was great!
Spa facilities were at a seperate location which they will ferry you to.
Where do i start?
- the room was leaking & the walls were black from the leak. Obviously the property had not undergone a facelift for a while.
- breakfast at Copper; was looking forward to it, but on the first day, waiter explained that i was only allowed 2 sides with my main & 1 dessert from the menu which was just unbecoming of an Asian hotel that prides itself on hospitality.
To their credit, they explained that it was to curb food wasteage - which is commendable & completely understandable. EXCEPT that they were doing a la carte & can EASILY adjust the portion sizes. They also changed this rule during my stay upon feedback.
- i cancelled my planned dinner at Copper after experiencing stale bread served at breakfast (they changed my bread). Copper wrote a long msg to me with regards to my feedback to them. And i just wonder how come they dont spend their energy elsewhere more productive.
- they also sent their chef out to say hello after my feedback. and i wished he didnt as his body language just screamed that he did not wish to be there.

The rooms are gorgeous, with extremely comfortable bed and sofa, great shower and Japanese bath tub. The pool is truly incredible, and the bar upstairs is delicious.
The room was damp but the ac helped! The road the hotel is on is well serviced with a lot of shops, restaurants and spas but the traffic is insane, making a bit difficult to get around on foot or car/bike

Beautiful modern design, amazing spa and outstanding restaurant, very friendly and attentive staff. We stayed in Villa 1, it had everything that we needed and more. Stunning rooms, beautiful outdoor living room, super comfortable beds. We loved the location, close to money forest so we got to see lots of monkeys, which the kids loved and just 5 mins walk from start of busy area with restaurants. We were a family of 5, each with small suitcase and hotel transfer was perfect and only 100k more than the much less comfortable taxi we got on arrival at airport. We had a number of treatments at the spa and they were top class and fairly priced.
