Very home feel about the place, I felt safe as a solo traveller.

Room door didn’t close in bathroom, ants all over floor, no kettle, no tv, front door 1” gap all round was bitten with mosquitos all through night swimming pool dirty and only 2 chairs at oil that were covered in insects and dirt , towels all off and not clean looking at all

Lovely bungalows!

Perfect New Year's stay! The host was very welcoming, the room was perfect with a lovely balcony to view the wildlife and faraway fireworks. Also great AC, a very comfortable bed and shower with good pressure. The breakfast was delicious with a range of choice and the location very near Ubud center. A beautiful garden. The pool was nice also. Will stay here again!

If we are going to Bali again, we will definitely stay there!

We really enjoyed staying at Frangipani Bungalow! Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was no electric kettle in the room but you could always ask for a vacuum flask with the hot water. Breakfast was really nice and nourishing. Overall we really loved staying at this place and will recommend it to everyone!

There is no fridge in rooms but that’s not a big deal

Fantastic places to stay in Ubud!

The location is great - I walked everywhere and it’s quiet. Tarini is amazing, warm, easy going person, she helps with whatever is needed. The breakfast is delicious. The hot water is provided to the breakfast but if you ask she will bring it any time. If you need early breakfast, Tarini will make it for you! The room has all what is needed. The bed is comfortable and huge. There is both air conditioning and fan in the room. The pool is very nice, the patio is so green and making you relaks like in a garden. Highly recommended!! You will be happy here!

The bathroom door does not close in my room. I was alone so I did not care.

Great location with wonderful host.

Tranini the host is beautiful and so happy to help with everything. The place is ideally located between the Monkey forest and the Campuhan walk with the Main Street of Ubud at the end of the road. Breakfast was fantastic as was the pool. Very clean. Will be back!

The property is nestled down a driveway and it truly feels like you’ve escaped to a retreat. The garden is beautiful, filled with greenery, flowers, and some furry friends (cats and squirrels). The sound of water from the water feature and pool when a so serene. The breakfast is incredible - I had the eggs and both types of pancakes during my stay. Frangipani Bungalows was meant to be a 2 night stay but I kept extending my stay (and I’m hoping for 2 extra nights if someone cancels). Cannot recommend Tarini’s accommodation enough. I hope to come back and stay here again soon 🩵

Authentic, homely stay in the centre of Ubud.

Tarina was an exceptional host. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect! Every morning we were greeted with a friendly smile, a flask of hot water and a home cooked breakfast. The gardens were beautiful and peaceful. You did not feel like you were only a short distance from the busy streets of Ubud. The rooms were large and clean and the beds comfortable, with regular pillows, not the giant ones we had elsewhere.

Be aware that the shower is over the bath with a hand held option. If you are tall it takes some manoeuvring to wash your hair.

Really enjoyed our stay!!

Best place we’ve stayed in during our 4 month travels!! Everything is just great: the lovely, super friendly and helpful host, the delicious breakfast, the pool! The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean. I loved the garden the most and the fact that the place is super quiet and calming, despite the central location in Ubud. Sitting underneath the veranda, enjoying the garden and watching the squirrels having their breakfast was just amazing!

Amazing place which feels like home

I loved the garden. There were crickets at night, so relaxing. Tarini made me feel at home from day one, she was flexible with the breakfast start time (I’d wake up early due to jetlag). The breakfast was excellent! I didn’t use the pool because there was a lot to do in Ubud - cooking class, silver making class, tour of the area.

I stayed for a week. Perhaps it’s nice to have Indonesian pancakes or toast sandwich at breakfast as alternatives.

Wouldn’t recommend

Cheap and good location.

Lots of bugs roaming around the rooms. We got our laundry done with this accommodation, and few items were stolen (shorts, jerseys - the stuff that were from a brand), and when I told the host she just laughed and didn’t care at all, not one bit helpful or remorseful. Our air conditioner leaked and didn’t work right. Couldn’t get a hold of any staff member to help. It’s very cheap for a reason.

Great location, budget accommodation.

Great location away from the noisy area. Lots of places to eat a couple of minutes walking distance and a minimart across the street. Lovely pool area.

Mould in the room and a strong musty smell. The door to the bathroom was damaged and wouldn’t close. Shower head was very low over a bath so you had to sit to use it.

Best place in Ubud!

Everything was great, Tarini was so nice and attentive, having an omelette and fruit every morning for breakfast was fantastic. Tarini was able to help me out with a good rate for Mt Batur, as well as leaving out coffee and some food for when I had to wake up at 1.30am, she then even made me a full breakfast when I got back around 11. She was also able to sort out a good rate for getting over to Gili Air. The location is close enough to plenty of places to eat, and bars but it’s down an alley way that cars can’t get down which makes it a very quiet place to sleep. This will definitely be my first option if/when I come back to Ubud! If you’re wanting to go and do touristy kinda things that require a bit of organising, stay here and just ask Tarini, she’s well connected and can make your life a lot easier when it comes to planning trips.

Friendly people and nice stay

Very spacious room and WC. Pool was nice for an end of day swim. Lovely balcony. The breakfast was AMAZING. Staff friendly and helpful, you can rent a Motorbike bike or book transportation to other areas there. Nice central but quiet location in Ubud.

Tarini and her staff are amazing Hosts. The location is a hidden gem in Ubuds center but super quite, with spacious rooms. AC works really good. The pool is always nice and refreshing, you get extra pool towels and everything else you might need. The beds are comfortable.

If anything: The water pressure in the shower is a bit low, but still enough to wash hair :)

A magical stay in Ubud

The place is located in a very quiet area even if in the center of Ubud and close to all the shops and facilities. Tarini and Nik, the owners of the place, were amazing and took very good care of us during our stay. We decided not to include breakfast in our booking but we got hot water with coffee and tea every morning for free. The room was so spacious and the host cleaned it every day for us so the cleanliness standard was very high. We definitely loved this place and would recommend it to anyone staying in Ubud!

Relaxing room with beautiful garden!

Great location 10 mins walking from city centre, many bars and restaurants around the area. The lady owner prepares delicious breakfast served to your room! Good swimming pool to cool down after a hot day!

Being in front of a beautiful garden you have to deal with ants and mosquitoes, but not a big problem. Wi-Fi not really the best.

Nice place but bathroom could be fixed

Great location, close to Ubud city but already nearby great bars and restaurants and sightseeing attractions like monkey forest and Ubud palace. Beautiful garden where you got every morning very tasty breakfast. Very nice and lovely woman serving breakfasts :)

Bathroom was different on the photos than it was in reality (in the photos there were few pictures of modern bathroom and only one, last one, showing partially the real bathroom). In reality bathroom is bit old, but the biggest problem were bathroom door that you couldn’t close. Door had to be open. If you pushed very strong you could close them but then someone had to open you from the outside. Also every time you moved the door, there was loud noise waking up other guests. Bath tap was broken and we had issues with water going down while taking shower.

Location is not the best if you want yo go to Ubud centre. Because there is a river between and for crossing that you have to do a long circle. The roads in this area are in bad conditions.and if it rains, there is like a river on the streets.

The host is the sweetest! She's always ready to help, does a little chat and really makes the stay compleet. She brought me hot water every evening, even when I don't asked for it. The room get cleaned every day and is very big.

nice location in quiet side street a few minutes away from busy Bisma. lovely garden surrounding the Balinese guesthouse. good sized balcony to enjoy the garden view. very spacious & clean room. unfortunately it needs some attention to old furniture.

room is under furnished with no hanging space. no tv. very unstable WiFi. after being promised hot water in the shower I got none. no one to contact because as the owner said he ‘was sleeping’. in the morning same problem. I press the bell twice in reception but no response. the position of the hand held shower in the bath was way to low. not that I could use it ! in the morning the outside dining table and chairs on the balcony were covered with bat droppings. not usable. I think their is a lack of staff here. the owners wife is very polite but it’s understaffed. no drinking water supplied and no refrigerator. most unusual!
