Lago Hotel & Spa - Adult Recommended

We really enjoyed our stay at Lago Hotel & Spa. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, everything was clean, and the atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant. There is a nice spa area and direct access to the lakeside beach with a stunning view. The nearby town is also easy to reach. We especially loved the surrounding nature — it is a very beautiful and peaceful place.

The unpleasant issue was the parking. We arrived in the evening when it was already dark, and the parking lines were not visible at all in the darkness. Since we had a rental car, we specifically asked the manager whether we had parked correctly. He came outside, checked the car, and told us that everything was fine. In the morning, we discovered that the front bumper had been scratched. Although these were the hotel’s own parking spaces, there were no security cameras covering the parking area. By then, the manager had changed, and the staff member on duty told us that it was our problem because the car had not been parked within the marked lines and that there was nothing he could do. Considering that a hotel employee had personally checked our parking the evening before and confirmed that everything was fine, this was especially disappointing. Also, keep in mind that during the day many local residents come to the lake beach, and the parking area can become completely full. If you drive to the nearby town and return later, there may simply be no parking spaces available. There are also some inconveniences with the spa. It is located on the top floor and is opened upon request. If you leave the spa area, you cannot simply return because the door will be locked, so you have to go all the way back down to the lobby and ask the staff to open it again. This is quite inconvenient. The Finnish sauna was only around 60–65°C, which felt too cool for us. The infrared sauna was around 40–42°C. We also booked a massage, which we would rate around 3+ out of 5.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lago Hotel. The location was great, with easy access to the centre and beautiful surroundings. The hotel was clean, comfortable and had a lovely atmosphere, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and overall we had a very pleasant experience. Breakfast was great too, lots of options to choose from. Pool was the best part, clean and easily accessible.

Nice beach with comfortable sun beds (bring swimming shoes though as the pebbles are quite tough) - amazing sunsets. Modern property. Location a bit outside of town is nice.

Cleanliness is ok - it was fine, we just had a hair on the bathroom floor and the room’s small rug wasn’t very clean. Breakfast is odd - there’s a good choice, however bacon, eggs etc are just presented on normal plates at the buffet and thus, cold, which is a bit odd. “Private” beach: no one checks, so local families (with many kids) just take over the sun beds at some point - there are plenty, so it’s usually not a problem, although those “guests” were quite noisy.

The lake was nice.

Overpriced. Not very clean. Noisy neighbours. Pushy staff at some point. Bad airconditioning.
