The location overlooking Loch Tay is great and there are tons of nearby places of interest. There were several public spaces such as a barn with games which my group didn't use but which looked fun. Overall it worked out well for a group of 20 and 30-somethings and felt like good value for the split price we paid.
Unfortunately there were a few issues which made this less comfortable and luxurious than we thought it would be. Staff were quick to help, but still. The lodge (Ben Cruachan) had not been thoroughly cleaned for our arrival - several kitchen items such as frying pans and the coffee press still had food debris on them, the floors had a few bits left on them, and cigarette butts were left on the outdoor table. One bedroom blind was broken. The main issue, however, was with sounds in the lodge. One bedroom had a radiator which, despite not being turned on, made a near-continuous and quite loud hissing sound which prevented me from falling asleep. Two of the bedrooms, both on the same side of the lodge (east side, I believe), also had roofs which were very loud when it was raining, loud enough to be significantly disruptive to sleep. The two rooms at the other end of the lodge did not have this issue. This was the main issue as not sleeping well effected the rest of the experience.

The great room with a fabulous floor to ceiling window view of Loch Tay and a small cozy wood stove was the best part. Two bathrooms. There is adequate cooking utensils to prepare a meal. Close to the Crannog Center.
The location is somewhat challenging to find. There is no number address, just a name. Google Maps was not very accurate, so we had to search a bit. On arrival, we were uncertain we were in the correct cabin, and the doors were unlocked, so the key code wasn’t confirmation. No one in reception—eventually figured it out. This place needs maintenance! There are loose door handles, missing light bulbs, peeling floor laminate. The bedrooms are as utilitarian as they appear in the pictures. The showers have inadequate water pressure and the water heater delivers scorching or cold water after a single decent shower. The kitchen is in a shed behind the cabin, not in the building, and is not as clean as I would like (top of fridge covered in dust and bugs, weeds growing along the edges). The stove had only one burner that would remain lit for more than a minute. Fire door between entry and great room won’t close without a push and has no handle on the outside to pull it shut. They offered us a inflatable hot tub—for 100 something pounds—not taken up. This was the only communication with the host besides key code. Finally, I thought we would be closer to the town of Aberfeldy, but it’s 20-25 minutes out. Services here are very limited, so shop ahead.
