It was exactly what I had planned for myself and wee Olly 🐶. A small cosy space with everything I needed for a walking holiday

The only thing I would say was there was a slight gap in the door which meant there was a big draft as it was really cold outside even with the curtains pulled over.

We all loved the pod but just felt that it was a little too small for 4 adults. Bad judgement on our part, as it looked bigger than it actually was. It was beautiful and very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

My only issue was the size of the pod. Everything else was lovely.

Beautiful, relaxing getaway.

Very cosy glamping pod, exceptionally clean and close to toilets. Heating heated up fast and all in was very cosy and enjoyable. Self check in was very very easy and really liked this aspect as was no rush to get there.

The only thing was the wifi, our first day we had no signal and the tv wouldn’t work but by the first night it worked completely fine. Not bothered about wifi as i was away for a relaxing break but would have been better if the tv worked the full time! Would still definitely come back. Also check out time i wish was a little bit later.

It’s nice but not good value for money

Good Location, walking distance to town and the lake and there’s loads of nice walks around. The bed was comfortable and the accommodation was clean and had good heating.

It’s too expensive for what it is. Almost £500 for two nights for two people is a lot for a small cabin with no hot tub or anything special . They also ask you to strip the beds and put them and the towels in the laundry bags as well as take out the trash , which I would not expect in a 5 star accommodation (as they claim to be) nor at that price point. It’s not a bad place it’s just wildly overpriced.

Nice place to stay if you're looking to get away for a few days and see some nature.

The campsite is in a very nice location nearly in the centre of the town of Balloch and right on the shores of loch lomond. You can find restaurants and shops easily within walking distance.

The lights inside the cabin were quite bright and harsh so we had to use only the lamp which was a bit too bit. It would've been nice if the lights were a warmer colour.

Fabulous Deluxe Lodge!

We loved our stay. Furniture & furnishings quality, colour & style lived up to the 'Deluxe' description of our lodge. Kitchen appliances, cutlery/glasses etc were all pristine and plentiful. A really great place to stay to explore Loch Lomond.

Cosy and basic - great for budget travellers!

We enjoyed our stay in the cosy little pod! Very small and basic which we don’t mind, especially when travelling on a budget. Super clean!

The basic pod may not be ideal for older folk as you have to walk quite far to get to the bathroom (not ideal in the rain), and no wifi in the pod so we had to use our mobile data. However we still loved our stay and would definitely recommend to others!

Amazing place, clean and accessible. Bed not comfortable for long stays.

Very clean and accessible by public transport as we flew into Glasgow and caught the train. Nice pub and amenities near by.

Mattress could do with a refresh. Had springs sticking out of it everywhere, and while not expecting a hotel bed, this was very uncomfortable. However pillows and duvet were lovely.

To be fair, we were staying in the most basic accomodation (pod) After so much generous Scottish hospitality we had experienced it just felt like a franchise. A combination of many minor details that overall were profit driven. E.G it had what it said it did but one pillow, one towel, basic crockery but not a single glass, no camp kitchens or even a bbq., no bins around park just one major dump site at reception, cover to small for doona.could feel springs in bed None a big deal at all -just in combination it felt a little less than.

WiFi in Escape 1 was virtually non-existent. We didn't spend much time in the accommodation as we were out exploring so didn't mention it at the time but in the evenings it would have been good to be able to watch a movie and chill. Minimal flaw for an otherwise perfect stay. But if the WiFi could be improved in there, it's 10/10

Great stay, shame the admin side is such a mess.

We arrived early, and the staff at the reception were great, they allowed us to check in ahead of time. The place was clean, everything matched the description, and both the location and facilities were excellent. We had a great family time.

The only downside was the gate system and the repeated follow-up calls. I had already confirmed with the receptionist that everything was in order, yet when we reached the gate (which should have automatically read the car number plate), we were told we hadn’t checked in — which we had. They refused to speak to my husband, who was driving, so I had to step out and confirm all the details again over a speaker because I was the one who made the booking. The same issue happened when we were leaving, the gate wouldn’t open, and someone had to be called to manually let us out. Afterwards, we received multiple phone calls asking me to confirm my date of birth and age for insurance purposes. Sorry, but definitely won’t provide that. Standard is to provide a form of ID at the check in, where staff checks the details, not providing your age and date of birth.

Location and added bonus the pod was kitted out with cutlery and dishes, very hot and clean shower/toilet blocks.

The booking system is a bit of a faff if you book through a 3rd party and have a dog, you have to go to the website to pay the extra but when I went to pay it showed a 0 balance so I phoned to pay to be told go back to website it still showed 0 balance so I phoned again and payment accepted. On departure I asked at reception for details of the other pods a helpful lady said she could show us one and to go to website for details but I found it not very clear as you need to put dates in would be good to see list of pods and prices.

The instruction emails were a little bit sparse of information. It was not clear what would exactly be provided in the pod which meant a few items purchased beforehand were unnecessary, and at the same time more was needed aka cups to act as mugs at least for the kettle etc. I think the expectation with pod stayers should be that they are not always going to be as equipped as those who campervan/caravan/glamp etc., particularly as they can be coming to you on foot. So a few additional items, or a more fulsome description of what is included in the pod would have been helpful The timers of the showers were far too fast and made showering difficult/unpleasant
