The location is great, right next to the devils pulpit, also had the Drymen town close by with shops and size the of the apartment was great, it had everything u need in the kitchen (cutlery,pots,pans) for the price the place was amazing
The cleanliness of the flat wasn’t too great as there was spider webs, also the place had a nasty old smell to it apart from that I’m really happy

Light apartment with a nice view, but facilities are not up to standard or just broken
Our apartment on the first (and top) floor was very light and had a nice view on the countryside. It was spacious, and the beds were fine (as long as you are not taller than 1,90 metres)
In short: the apartment has quite some potential, but did by no means live up to what may be expected. A lot of things were disappointing:
- The fridge was not working. Credits to the owner for replacing it with a new fridge within 24 hours, but our request for a small compensation because of all the fresh groceries we had to throw away because of this was completely ignored, which we found very rude. We resend our request but still no answer. We asked for this small compensation because of the groceries but also because of a lot of other technical issues (see below). For instance, there was a very nice bath, but the plug was missing, so we could not use this facility, which we found an omission on the promised facilities.
- Upon arrival we had to wipe a lot of the surfaces since they were not clean. We found bread or cake crumbs in a kitchen cabinet, a lot of dead flies in the windowsills.
- A kitchen cabinet door was tilting, not closing properly, there qere multiple broken spoons, the kitchen inventory itself was very poor. For instance, there were just two small pans and a frying pan, there was no colander (=vergiet) and we could not really use the oven since there was no roasting pan. The dishwasher had a broken slide valve causing the dishwasher tablet to directly fall in the machine when you close it to run it.
- The table lamp in the living room was not working, so we had to do with horrendously bright halogen spots from the ceiling in the evenings.
- Some of the ceiling spots were blinking, chaning brightness or juist hanging loose from the ceiling.
- The towel rack in the bathroom came down from the wall because of a missing screw.
- The building turns out to be right next, and I mean right next, to a busy road. When heavy lorries pass, the floor slightly trembles. And it's noisy and at night the head lights of the vehicles shine against and past the roller blinds.

We had some trouble finding it. Next to busy road, quite noisy. Not in the village of Drymen. Not enough crockery, glasses , mugs to start of with but found glasses and plates in a storage cupboard under the stairs, would have preferred them in the kitchen. Not enough mugs. No hairdryer.

Quite a fast and sometimes busy road close by (but as I am used to no noise overnight I’m maybe over sensitive).

Appartment 2 needs more TLC
Parking was great.
Appartement 2: The WiFi was barely working. The kitchen was ill equiped. The road was very closeby and thus very loud. Mismatching furniture etc. You can feel the place doesn't receive the needed TLC.

Comfy just out of town location
Large airy lounge and kitchen diner. Shower was excellent. Location just outside of Drymen by a bridge and small river. Beds were very comfy. Amenities good. Great restaurants in town

Apartment 1.
Both bedroom lights flickering continuously and dangerous. Not enough utensils / kitchen items I read the comments from two years ago - to say they keep getting stolen not good enough.
Sofa is dirty and old and should be replaced, internet ok first night but when the noisey, and inconsiderate other guests came to say upstairs nights 2 & 3, it was hopeless. Not good enough.
Hot water bizarre not always available.
This place although not horrendous has numerous issues.
Im giving a low ‘3’ purely because it has possibilities but sort your electrics out and whilst you are at it get a dishwasher - come on it’s the 21st century!

Spacious with a modern bathroom , nice view from kitchen window . The area around was nice
The area around the property was used to dump the stuff from the renovation of other apartments, my morning view at the sofa or on the outside table was of old doors , mattresses , sinks and other stuff that was not safe to walk next to with kids . I had to take the dogs past in the mornings and later at night for there walks , there was no gate on the outside that is half walled so I had to find spare doors to close the area off . The place is dog friendly in the sense that dogs are allowed but not pet safe or kid safe, I was only able to put up 4 pictures but I have a lot more. I had to leave a night early because the sofa was so uncomfortable, my back was so sore , when I looked on my first night I saw it was held up with wooden blocks in the centre, the legs were buckled ready to fall at at pressure . I had to close the blinds as the view of the storage container wasn’t peaceful or tranquil.The owner said it was the farmers stuff but I saw some workers who were taking decking from the above apartment dump the stuff over at the dumping area. There was a huge bag of sand and metal rusted girders right next to the path that goes to the outside bench . The place is in the middle of a refurb and shouldn’t have been rented out .

A lovely time was had by our family, I love Loch Lomond, I would return to this accommodation.

Great price and location. New spacious appartment. The kitchen could have been better equipped, but we managed to cook our own food with little to no effort.

These are just pinikety points. The double bed was too small and the blinds in the bedroom mean the rooms are in full daylight by aunrise. That's not too bad when runeise is 6am, but in the summer, it would be an issue.

Scenery
Upon arrival after a 4hr drive no confirmation for the keycode for the lockbox from booking.com or Iain the owner. No sign to say we were in the right place. After 2 hours of trying to contact Iain numerous times by phone txt and email.There was no water pressure so impossible to shower. No sleep due to the bed facing the window with main beam headlights shining in all through the night from cars.So came come a day early through lack of sleep.Also no bowls for cereal. No blackout blinds or curtains.
