The apartment at The Bridge House was nicely decorated and very comfortable. It was an easy walk from town and surrounded by fields with sheep. The kitchen has everything we needed. There is even a washing machine, a real bonus for hikers. The hostess was also responsive and helpful.
We struggled to get the hot water for bathing.

Affordable and spacious apartment. Although it is located along a busy road, it is in a beautiful spot next to the river and conveniently close to Drymen. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the basic necessities.
Communication was poor. We had no hot water on arrival and received no response either through the Booking.com chat or by phone. It turned out that the boiler settings needed to be adjusted. It would have been helpful to mention this in advance, as you cannot expect every guest to know how to adjust or troubleshoot a boiler themselves. The dining table chairs were more like children’s chairs and were not suitable for adults to sit on comfortably. The apartment was also not particularly clean when we arrived.
