A wonderfully peaceful stay in a fabulous location, with very helpful hosts.

Our lodge had everything that we needed, and we were warm and toasty each evening. It was nice to have nearby neighbours in adjacent lodges but we still felt private. The grounds were wonderful, with well signed pathways. We were sincerely grateful that we could take our three well behaved dogs, and felt our stay was special as we could all be together. Fabulous location too, as we were just a short drive from Forres and other wonderful east coast locations. All supported by a helpful map and write-up on local sights, shops and facilities; much appreciated!

Just a couple of aesthetic improvements, but nothing that majorly distracted from our stay.

If I could score higher than 10 I would

Location is phenomenal, set within private woodland with a half a mile woodland walk starting outside the lodge. The grounds were well kept, as was the lodge. Clean and tidy with everything you need for a few days away. The shower was excellent. Loved the little patio for enjoying the surroundings. The hosts were super informative with a very detailed guide to the area, and very welcoming of my dogs. You get a wonderful treat of the dark sky once the sun sets and a sky full of stars and even the aurora if it rises high enough (trees obscure the horizon slightly). Local beaches are a wonderful treat , especially Nairn, roseile and lossiemouth east. And Brodie castle is only 15 mins away which is a great day out. If you like wildlife rspb loch spynie is also a short trip. Can't wait to return. This has to be the best place I have stayed with the dogs so far, due to the grounds the lodge is set within.

Amazing place that felt like a mansion! Well worth it!

Amazing size, has everything you need for a relaxing stop over. I liked the extra touches; torches, smart tv, iron, insect repellent, comfy seating area outside and indoors. It’s the perfect place to go and enjoy the scenery of Scotland, will definitely book again

Everything was great, when we first got in, it had a slight musty smell, all that was sorted by opening the windows and didn’t get it after that.

Amazing place where we want to come back soon. Everything is provided and the hosts are very attentive and helpful. There is WiFi for each lodge and the place itself is just amazing. Basically in the middle of the forest. Quiet and peaceful place.

I gave 9/10 because of the check in and check out hours (from 4:00pm for check in and not later than 10:00am for check out). We believe from 12:00pm until 3:00pm it’s enough time to clean a lodge keeping in mind the guests leave the lodge with the bedding taken off and the bins emptied. It doesn’t bother us to leave the bins emptied (our stuff and must clean after ourselves) and to take off the beddings as it’s a good hand for the hosts and we are very pleased to help, but the check in and check out hours should be considered as almost half of the cleaning of the lodge is done by the guests. We’re looking forward to coming back. By that time maybe we are lucky and check in earlier and check out a bit later.

Fantastic holiday

It was central to most outings we made which ment we could do a lot without spending too long in the car. It was quiet and peaceful, so you where able to relax when in the cabin and sleep easily.

There actually wasn't anything, except I would have stayed longer than a week.

Good secure wifi which was specific and secure to our lodge and with smart tv. Clean with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Small seated area outside with enclosed sun lounge for windy weather as well as open plan kitchen/diner/lounge.

Didn’t use cooking facilities so can’t comment on kitchen equipment or oven.

Tranquil lodges 10min from town

nice quiet and secluded woodland location, 10 min from Forrest town. Lodges had everything you need for a base to explore this lovely part of the country. My only (and it's only because my wife has restricted mobility) was a secure area, garden etc to allow the dogs to be outside but secure.... Having said that it did not interfere with our break and there was ample wooded areas around to let me walk the dogs when not at the golf course Good value and had most things to make it a location to consider if looking for a quiet tranquil break.

No secure garden/area to allow dogs out into but this was offset by large wooded areas to let them run free ..

Beautiful surroundings, very quiet with birds and wildlife being the only sounds you here, Home from home with excellent facilities,playground for the younger members of the family, pond area enclosed, woodland walks or rides. excellent laundry room, with a well stocked games, books & video area, Most of all a personal service from Simon and Michelle well done guys. You exceeded our expectations. Exceptionally dog friendly. Won't hesitate to go back here,

A lovely relaxing two night stop over for us on the way up north.

Simon and Michelle were very welcoming, easy going hosts! Extremely dog friendly place even for large dogs. Choice of areas to sit and relax outside lodge . Lovely grounds with play area for children and woodlands ideal for dog walks. Hoover, ironing board and hairdryer available. Laundry room but we didn’t use as we were only there for a couple of nights.

Very little to comment on as everything was ideal. Some cupboards very high so a stool would have been beneficial.
