We loved the stay at Cragganmore Lodge. It's close to the speyside way with wonderful nature. The house was more than suitable for our family. To explore the surrounding nature it's a perfect starting point.

Booking and accommodation as it should be (Carlsberg would struggle to do better!).
Great location - accommodation exceeded expectations (spacious & fully equipped), a lovely place to spend a week.
Mention goes out to The Mash Tun, in Aberlour (recently refurbished) - so good we returned twice in the week to eat! Heads-up: book a table in advance.

Wonderful place for nature and cruising around the Highlands. Very convenient for the distilleries and right along River Spey. We really enjoyed walking the trails and trekking around the neighborhood. Howard’s communication with us was top notch. Whole community was very quiet with very friendly and pleasant neighbors.

The trees were in various autumn colours and the birches in particular which were a golden yellow. We had a windless and mild time. The lodge was very comfortable.

Wonderful stay at Cragganmore.
Wonderful stay at Cragganmore.
We had a wonderful stay at Cragganmore. Howard , the owner was great at communicating with us and the property was so well equipped with lots of board games, dvds and books. The location is stunning, perfect for a morning run along the Speyside way and a wander later with a flask of hot chocolate whilst watching the salmon leaping in the river. We will be back for sure.

The lodge exceeded my expectations, was well kept and equipped also very comfortable.
The location was a short walk from both the river Spey and the nearest distillery for a little whiskey tasting. Both the Moray coast and Aviemore a short drive away with a host of activities made for an excellent and memorable break. I will be recommending this to friends and family and will return soon.

Comfortable Cabin
Comfortable Cabin
This was a cozy and comfortable cabin, perfect for relaxing and for using as a base for discovering the Malt Whisky Trail and outdoor activities. Conveniently located to make easy day trips to Inverness and Aberdeen. Loved having access to Speyside Way for walks. The cabin was nicely provisioned with everything we needed and had plenty of space for our group of 3 adults and 2 older teenagers. The owners were very helpful. It was just what we were looking for!

Great stay in this beatifull part of the world in a cosy comfortable lodge.
Great stay in this beatifull part of the world in a cosy comfortable lodge.
We stayed as a group of 2 family's off four and the Lodge is spacious enough whereby you have enough room and don't feel on top of one another. 2 bathrooms which really helps when 2 family's sharing. Stunning setting with some great walks nearby and Aviemore an easy drive away with plenty of activities.
If staying with children would highly recommend the trip to see and feed the wild reindeer heard which sets off each day from near Aviemore at 11 o'clock. Need to arrive at the booking office earlier say 09:45 to ensure your place though as tickets sell out daily.
Owner was available to answer any question and if we ever return to this part of the world would certainly be more than happy to return to this Lodge.

Plenty space & all you need to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Beautiful situation (even though the satnav got confused !!) we were fortunate with the weather which allowed us to explore the surroundings on the doorstep. Perfect position for whisky country & all that beautiful Speyside has to offer. Also thank you for the welcome bottle of wine.

Spacious and comfortable lodge
Spacious and comfortable lodge
We enjoyed our week at Cragganmore very much. The lodge was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. We were fortunate to have warm and sunny weather for our stay and had great fun paddling and swimming with our dog in the Spey River which was right on our doorstep. We also sat outside (we brought our own camping chairs) and watched the wildlife including pheasants, red squirrels, rabbits, blackbirds and deer go about their daily routines. We tried to use the picnic table but it was overgrown with weeds and was unstable and beginning to rot, which was a shame. Perhaps this could be addressed by the owners who may not be aware of its poor condition? Apart from that and spending a wee fortune on whisky we had a fab time and hope to return!

Everything was exactly as described and we had all the necessary information in the Phone-App for our arrival. The google maps location of the lodge is spot-on as well if you navigate with that; just search Cragganmore Lodge. Don't miss out on walking the Speyside way.

Comfortable Property in a Great Location
Comfortable Property in a Great Location
The property was warm and cosy. There is plenty of kitchen equipment as we like to cook as well as go out for the occasional meal, although I am quickly learning after renting a number of self catering cottages I need to take my own kitchen knives as they are always blunt.
Our dogs loved the place as well. The location is quiet and the property although not fenced has great parking for 2 vehicles and we found it easy to control our dogs despite being warned it is close to the road. If you dog tends to wander you might find this unsuitable as the road leads to a distillery and there are trucks travelling up and down at times.
There was an issue with the hot water during our stay but we reported it to the owners and we managed using the hot water booster as there was only 2 of us. The problem is being looked at. This basically meant that the shower over the bath upstairs was never hot enough as we kept forgetting to press the booster button. If the hot water is working properly it would be fine.
The furniture although older is clean and tidy and the property easily sleeps 8 people. Probably the only comment I would have about the bedrooms in the mattress on the double bed in the large upstairs room was very hard (and I like a hard mattress). I found it difficult to sleep so used the other room.
This is a great location close to the Speyside Way which we walk/bike alot and also close to Grantown-on-Spey and Arbelour. Plenty to see and do in the area.
We would recommend the property and the owners are very easy to contact and very efficient in the information they provide about the property. We would return.

Comfortable dwelling with well equiped kitchen; close to beautiful river Spey and other attractions.
We had a very comfortable eight day's stay. The property was clean and tidy and lovely to come back to after our sporting activities. We cooked all our own main meals. The beds were good and there is plenty of room to hang clothes. The water was always hot. We only had one problem in that we stopped using the downstairs shower unit because of difficulty in turning it off - there seemed to be something wrong with the pull switch. This is our second visit to Cragganmore Lodge and we look forward to coming again next year.
