Loch Lomond Holiday Park

Great location

No dish cloths,tea towels,plus no electricity for a day

The holiday park was spotless and clean, staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. Place seemed relatively quiet when we were there. Mobile home was clean. There was kayaking available from the shore.

Check in is late - 4pm so you waste half a day, no options to check in earlier. Check out is 10am. Mattresses on bed were awful. Really lumpy and the double seems to have a dip in the middle so you roll into one another. Need new ones! You'd be hard pressed to get there if you don't have a vehicle. Dodgy road from Tarbet and no pavements. Lack of pavement back along the A82 from Inveruglas too from bus stop there. When we first arrived l went to go into the main bedroom with a luggage case and went flying and hurt my ankle because the carpet at the door had been ripped up and was sticking out of the gripper. This would have been noticed by cleaners prior to our arrival and should have been fixed or at least us warned about it at reception - not a great start to the holiday. The unfixed hose with showerhead in the en-suite fell off mid shower as well on the last day and l couldn't get it back on but it was last morning so just reported it on way out to drop the keys. There was no basic welcome pack - like salt and pepper, small washing up liquid/cloth/toiletries like hand-wash. Dog bowl etc. Stayed in other parks and this was provided. Very skinny road to drive along to the mobile home from reception and not much room to manoeuvre to reverse the car into the parking spot. You'd toil if you had a hilux or an estate car. Family room seemed a bit rubbish. Comprised of some sofas and a TV. Bookcase, a well used pool table and a load of broken pool cues, no tips, no chalk and kids board games that had most contents missing. Also had owners event on the Sat so inaccessible to visitors and was left locked all the next day on the Sunday too when nobody was there and their drinks/inflatables left lying about. Upgrading of family room would be good with option to "hire" cues and new complete games. Maybe notice given to visitors about events on etc

Views were amazing lodge was lovely having an ensuite in every room was a bonus

Felt it could have been cleaner Hot tub was quite dirty even though the changed the water daily I don’t think it was cleaned I left my straighteners but when I called them they said they would check and call me back but never did that was a bit disappointing

The view

We stayed here at the end of December and when we arrived the heating hasn't been turned on. It was absolutely freezing and it took hours to get warm which is definitely not something you would expect when you pay for an accommodation. The place was also only superficially cleaned as there were spider webs in all light shades, some pasta behind the curtains from the previous occupiers and a rusted radiator in the bathroom that was leaking on the floor.
