We had such a lovely stay, honestly, it was the reset we didn’t realise how much we needed.
It was great that they accommodate two dogs. It was actually one of the main reasons we chose this lodge, as so many places only allow one. We’re currently looking after my mum’s dog while she’s in hospital, so it’s been a difficult few months, being able to bring the whole family (dogs included) made a huge difference.
We’ve always loved Rowardennan and have stayed in the hotel before, but the lodge was just perfect. It was cosy, warm, really well equipped, and had everything we could possibly need.
We climbed Ben Lomond on the first day, then slowed things right down, relaxing by the loch, using the hot tottie sauna, and even braving a cold water dip. My son also had a go at fishing (you can get a day permit from the shop in Balmaha, which was really handy).
The views are absolutely breathtaking, the loch looks different depending on the time of day and weather, but it’s always beautiful.
Thank you again for giving us such a special, much-needed break!

Everything!!!
It really had everything we wanted and needed. Lovely comfortable beds, really traditionally decorated, well kitted out with everything you could think of. The view was breathtaking and we really didn’t want to leave.
