A very warm welcome in the house, so nice to have the basics presented for us for our use. The rooms were all comfortable and very clean, nice bedding and comfortable beds. Everything worked in the kitchen and the outside area was convenient to the kitchen.
The house was cold on arrival maybe we arrived earlier than expected, the owner quickly sorted that out. The shower tap in the bathroom downstairs seemed already broken, it was impossible to manage, the cold and hot water didn't seem to mix and it was scolding hot. We had to use the other bathroom to take a shower and there were five of us.

Ideal spot to go on walks very scenic. Cottage was well equipped with what you needed and nice touch with bottle of wine ,biscuits and other goodies .
There were alot of cob webs and seemed to need a freshen up . Mould in shower and things just needed renewing abit.

Good facilities for a family holiday.
We thought we had a view of the Loch.

Location good, plenty of parking and quietly located yet close to local amenities.
Bedroom directly off main reception/kitchen made privacy a bit tricky at times.

The property is a very short walk from the train station, and as a bonus there are only a handful of trains a day so you won't notice this proximity beyond the ease of access. The location is gorgeous, and provides access to many wonderful walks of a variety of challenge levels. Loch Lomond is a very short walk away and is breathtaking at any time of year, and a boat launch for tours is very close by. The cabin's proximity to the Slanj pub is very handy, and the little shop next to it has a surprisingly large collection for purchase for its size.
The property was clean, comfortable, and spacious. I would highly recommend this for up to six guests at a time, but any more than that and you'd likely be cramped.
The floorboards on the ground floor were a little squeaky, and that's the only issue we had with our stay. Definitely not a deal-breaker by any stretch of the imagination.

Great house, well equipped, however it was very hot the first night, until James arrived with a Fan. This improved things greatly.
Beware and prepare for the midges
Don’t open windows at night
Use the new Fan that James brought.

The host was friendly and the distance from Loch Lomond was good, easy to walk to.
The bin in the kitchen had not been emptied. The oven had not been cleaned. There were flies all over and my sister in law and her sister were bitten during the night. The windows were dirty and the outside was not very welcoming. I booked the cottage but it was my family who had paid for it. They were very upset about the conditions and asked me to make a complaint to you. I lost some sleep worrying over it and offered to book into a hotel but the said it was just one more night and not to worry, they would put up with it. My sister in law wishes to email you as well. I think they noticed more problems than l did. I await your comments. Thank you. Lynda Battye.

Great space, the open plan living, kitchen, diner perfect for family. The bedrooms were roomy and comfy beds. Had everything you would need and easy walk to pub or Loch.

It was very spacious.
The cleaning standard was very poor and with the interior needing some TLC, there was a broken coat hanger, towel hanger, boiler pipes covering was off and sat on the kitchen counter. We couldn’t use the oven as it was filthy including the trays and some of the kitchen flooring was needing attention. Not a good stay for the price paid and doesn’t bare well for other visitors.

Lovely cottage, well kitted out. Loved the location, in the middle between arrochar and tarbet and right next to the train station. Within walking distance for all your hill walks. Would come back again.

A special gem right in beautiful setting. All home from home comforts, central heating , wifi etc and a superbly equipped kitchen. Beds were all so comfortable. Highly recommend. We travelled as a group of 5 middle aged women and we had the most relaxing chilled weekend.
Cosy, well appointed and equipped and not far to travel from the central belt for a peaceful weekend of home comforts.

The cottage was very nice and comfortable. Very cosily furnished with plenty of room. Beds were comfortable. It was nice and clean. Had everything we needed. No trouble checking in or out. Nice terrace for drinks during long summer or spring evenings. The surroundings are beautiful, we went hiking and on a boat trip. Thinking of returning to the same cottage next year.
It would have been nice to be able to watch normal tv/news not just Netflix and Prime. When we visited it was autumn with dark and rainy evenings. Had it been summer or spring, we wouldnt even have switched the tv on.

A lovely little compound of cottages in the heart of Arrochar & Tarbet, just a stone's throw away from Loch Lomond. The owner is a very pleasant host and owns all four of the properties in the compound. I found the property to be in very good keep and condition and the host is very helpful and always available on the phone to discuss any issues and even give general tourist advice.
The property is very well catered for your stay. There was a range of amenities all provided at no extra cost, which was very nice to see and very helpful. For reference, if you’re intending to stay, here are the items in the property available for our use:
Toilet roll
Kitchen towel
Washing up liquid
Towels
Handwash
Tea, coffee, sugar
Rubbish bags
Cleaning products
Kitchenware
Laundry powder
I would highly recommend that you have a car available for the duration of your stay as the property is in a location that isn’t very well served by public transport. Even though the Arrochar & Tarbet railway station is merely a 1 minute walk away, the station doesn’t appear to have many scheduled trains throughout the day and thus a car would be needed if you wanted to visit any of the tourist attractions in the Loch Lomond area.
The scenery outside the property is beautiful as it looks onto the Ben Reoch mountain. Great for hikers and there is even a lovely hidden trail behind the railway station that takes you out towards Arrochar and Loch Long.
The kind host and beautiful surroundings make this property a great location if you want to stay in a quieter part of Loch Lomond, away from the hustle and bustle of a town or village, whilst still being very accessible by car to Loch Lomond. All in all, a very enjoyable stay and highly recommended. Looking forward to returning in the future!
Due to the remote location of the property, the mobile coverage was very poor in and around the immediate vicinity of the property. However, more annoyingly, the WiFi connection inside the property was very poor. The connection would go out regularly throughout the day and night. This would be a concern if you were intending to stay for business and needed a stable Internet connection. It did also make researching things to do and booking tickets for attractions a bit more challenging.
The oven and trays when we arrived were very dirty and grimy. I did mention this to the host, who told me that he’d ask the cleaner to clean these, however, both the oven and trays were still grimy even after the fact. In the end, we cleaned the oven ourselves and used our own trays. Other than that, we didn’t have any issues with cleanliness at all.

On arrival there was a welcome tray which incuded tea, just what is needed after a journey. The place was cosy, warm, clean and would defo return. The area is beautiful and quite central to most things. The owner and his assistant were both very friendly, full of information and welcoming.
If I was going to be nit picky I would say that the bin needs replacing as footpedal doesn't work on it.
