A fantastic property that has everything you need for a few days (or more) in Arrochar and the surrounding area. Special mention to the comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen and smartly decorated bathroom. This property's best feature however is undoubtedly the view across the top (or bottom?) of Loch Long. Both the lounge and main bedroom have large windows overlooking the loch and it is a privilege being able to see such an impressive sight directly from the property. If we ever return to the area, we would definitely stay here again.
These aren't things we disliked necessarily, but are things we felt would be worth mentioning to anyone considering a stay. Firstly, the parking has been mentioned in previous reviews and did cause us some trepidation before we arrived. This was justified. You need to reverse down a narrow, steep slope then manoeuvre in a tight space at the bottom of the slope so that you are parked flush to the property. We managed without issue, but we had a small car, and I can imagine that if someone had a bigger car (and/or were not a particularly skilled/confident driver) parking on the property would be particularly difficult. I should point out however that alternative parking is available a short walk (c100m) up the road. The second thing to mention is the garden space. It's great, with superb views across the Loch, but is adjoined to a separate property and used for access by another, separate property. Not an issue necessarily, but if you were hoping that the garden would be a private, secluded space for you to use, I'm not sure that would be the case.

A wonderfully clean and spacious property with breathtaking views over Loch Long. Fabulous chip shop, tea room and pub very close by, and a well stocked convenience store over the road. The most comfortable beds ever!
We both mentioned that the tree in the garden obscured some of the fabulous views from the living room window. (The picture of the tree in the photos is old and the tree has since flourished) The tables and chairs belonging to the adjoining tea room were placed too close to the front door and to the steps down to the garden.

The views are very good and although you’re next to the road because you’re at the back of the tea shop there is no traffic noise. The parking is super tight , you do have to reverse in as the instructions say which is a little tricky as you have to stay on the concrete path. I was doing it in heavy rain slipped off and my wheels would not grip.
The poor communication from the landlord. In Booking.com when I went to the page for the key it said contact the landlord for the keysafe number and they were “difficult” about providing it. It’s no use just repeating over and over log into booking.com if that is not working for your tenant! On Sunday morning just after 9am with no warning a workman knocked to do work on the property he wanted me to move my car onto the road - which I refused to do. And wanted access to the property for water. I have never yet received an apology from the landlord for that interruption. It’s a shame that it worked out this way as a family member has moved close by but I doubt I would stay again.
