Very glad we found this hotel and would definitely stay here again !

We were able to park onsite , continental breakfast was great , location was excellent- room was lovely and cosy and the decor very tasteful. Staff were very friendly and helpful

There was no secondary glazing so the window was very drafty and you could hear road noise -Also a voile curtain would be good for privacy- we couldn’t turn heating on in the morning even though we turned the thermostat up ? this worked on the evening ?

Room full of dust

Location

Dusty surfaces throughout, air-conditioning unit couldn't be used as full of dust, obviously hadn't been cleaned for months. Room location was dark and off staircase, with a drop into the room where my partner fell on initial entry. Shower had to be cut short as the bathroom flooded, we had to use all the towels to stop the water from reaching the room. We were really disappointed as the website made the hotel look much better than what we received.

Lovely boutique hotel with great breakfast and nice staff

Beautifully decorated hotel with friendly staff and wonderful breakfast

It’s an older property so there is no lift which made carrying suitcases on my own difficult. You can hear the water from people taking showers in other rooms but it didn’t bother me that much. The hotel is about a 20 min walk from the station

Perfect for Cheltenham Races

Great stay for Cheltenham Races, Hotel provided early check in which made our stay even easier. Room was gorgeous and everything we needed was there. Beds were extremely comfortable & rooms were super quiet. Free parking was great too

Great location and good value

The hotel is in an excellent location. Loved the decor and the shower was amazing. There is laundromat within walking distance.

There is no common area to congregate. We stayed in room 8, which I would strongly advice against. It is right next to lobby and the stairs that go to the upper floor. There were people coming and going all night long.

The decor was nice but everything else pretty poor.

The shower was excellent and the location good.

There was no parking, no bar or lounge, the bed was very uncomfortable and the noise during the night from the door and other guests was very loud. The toilet seat was broken. When I questioned a room by the front door as a woman travelling alone and requested a room change I was greeted with derision.

Very well decorated and the central location is incredible for the price. The young lady on reception was so helpful and welcoming.

The parking was a little confusing, we thought it was at the front (as the sat nav sent us) it was so narrow, lots of potential for accidents with the parked cars.

The George rocks!

What a gorgeous hotel with such welcoming staff! The room was gorgeous and so clean with some of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. Updated fixtures and amenities, a wonderful location, the sweet complimentary treat was to die for, the whole stay (even though it was brief) was wonderful. Autumn the pup was just icing on the cake, I love her!! Highly recommend this hotel, it was truly fabulous.

Nicely furnished, comfortable, clean and nice touches with tea, coffee, milk and little snacks for rooms.

Had 2 rooms of same standard but one much smaller than the other - which is a bit odd. Breakfast was an extra, and including a simple cold buffet as part of the price for booking.com customers would make this so much better value (and justify extra cost of the budget chains)

Not enough storage space in room. We were staying four nights and couldn’t unpack. Very small basin in bathroom, need to be a contortionist to wash your face. Towel rack next to the toilet😱. Be sure to close the lid when you flush!

Great location for the Cotswolds and for exploring Cheltenham.

The George was super dog friendly, even providing a basket and a mini hamper full of dog goodies! Our dog was also allowed down to the breakfast room. The breakfast included in our booking.com rate was the continental. It was great though, fresh melon, pineapple etc overnight oats with raspberry compote and lots of choice of pastries toast etc The location was great for the Cotswolds and it was walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars in the evening. The staff were super helpful too.

Room was tiny. The 'workdesk' was not big enough to work at. Should not be described as this. Also, the bathroom extractor fan came on at random times of the night, waking me up.

Another lovely Youngs hotel with usual decor and comfort.

We have stayed in a number of Youngs hotels so knew what to expect. Bed was comfortable and shower excellent. We always like the little touches at Youngs hotels including the decor. Aircon worked well and was not noisy. The vegan Breakfast was very good. This was an extra but was worth it as options are substantial.

The room we had was fairly small but fine for one night.
