Great little hotel with a perfect view

Delightful stay in a gorgeous location

Casa Lu is SUCH a gorgeous location - right on the beach in Mazunte. I loved the pool, which was just steps to the beach, the delightful staff that did their best to go above and beyond to accommodate what we needed, and the lovely room - where I could hear the ocean waves at night. I also loved that the hotel was an easy walk to shops and restaurants, too - so I didn't need a car to get out & about beyond the hotel. I felt safe, happy, relaxed, and deeply enjoyed my time there. Thank you!

Wonderful stay with amazing view and service!

The hotel is very good! Extremely friendly service, clean and modern rooms, an incredible view of the sea, a very nice pool, and excellent Wi-Fi.

Given the price of the hotel, I would have expected at least the following small things. They are not expensive, but would make the stay much more pleasant: A free water dispenser so you don’t have to carry 4–6 bottles of water into the hotel every day. Free coffee in the morning. Additionally, we found the bar and the restaurant to be quite expensive, even though the hotel is of a very high standard.

The most relaxing and beautiful way to relax at the beach and poolside!

We love this place so much, that we're going back! It's on the beach, super private and has the most wonderful pool. The staff so sweet and accommodating. The furniture and beds are so comfortable. The shower and bathroom are big and very clean with nice amenities. The bar and food are convenient and serve the best cocktails and food. We can't wait to get back to Casa Lu!

There was no staff, for a hotel with that price it’s unacceptable. The bar next to the hotel does not belong to them and it was impossible to order anything so this was a downside. The pool was boiling while we were at 35 degrees celsius so it didn’t refresh at all.

Beautiful location, great staff but overly priced for what you get

The location was amazing! The pool was perfect and right on the beach. We could easily walk into town

We paid the same to stay at an all inclusive resort but there was no mini fridge in the room for drinks or snacks and at the pool we HAD to order drinks and food from the restaurant attached. You could not bring your own. For the price we paid we should not have been forced to spend more money and I would have expected a mini fridge.

Really pretty place with fabulous pool right on the beach.

Gorgeous location and fresh water pool. Lovely beach bar restaurant right there. Right on the beach. Easy to walk to the Main Street of restaurants. Comfy huge bed and nice balcony.

For the price they charge there should be a mini fridge. It’s a hot + humid location and it’s crazy there is no little fridge to keep drinks cold in your room. It would not cost much and make a big difference. Also there wasn’t a single chair in the room. Skimpy on towels. The bathroom should have a dimmer switch or second light as you walk in there in the night and it’s like floodlit football pitch. Crazy bright. All of these things are so small and not expensive but would make it a much nicer stay. For what they charge it should have these things.

We felt like we were shooting a Corona commercial. Very relaxing and enjoyable for 6 days.

The location is ideal!!! A 5-minute walk into the town of Mizunte with numerous restaurants. Also walking distance to Playa San Agustinillo (15 minutes). The best part is the beach access to Playa Mizunte and the view of the Pacific over the pool and beach. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was kept immaculately by the housekeeping staff. Manager was as nice as could be and the grounds are lovely.

My wife is vegan, and the restaurant had limited options for her.

Incredible location and pool set up on the beach front

The pillows were a bit hard, although that is personal preference. Plus the food and drinks was a fair bit more expensive than in the town. That's probably to be expected but meant we drank/ate less in the hotel. And it seemed others didn't either, so the atmosphere was quiet

Amazing location - THAT VIEW!! We loved just hanging by the pool and relaxing, then taking a stroll to restaurants for our meals. 5-10 minutes to the main street in Mazunte and 15 minutes to San Augustinillo.

My only compliant is that I wish they had more luxe/comfier pool chairs by the pool! For such a beautiful hotel, the white plastic ones are kind of cheap/not comfortable. This is me being extremely picky... this place is amazing.

Just perfect.

This place is heaven. Amazing location and views. So relaxing. The pool is perfect. What makes this place even more special is the team. If you’re lucky enough you’ll get looked after by Jose who is honestly a very special human being. He has helped us over the 10 days we stayed there with everything - tours, transport, recommendations, etc. The best thing about it is that he enjoys looking after people and he’s very genuine. Hospitality at its best. His colleague which I forgot his name (he used to live in Atlanta) is also a super hands on amazing guy. Them two have made our stay 10000 times better and I’ll honestly go back just because they work there. Thank you guys, you made it special

I think the food could be better. Breakfast is fantastic, the rest is just ok. To be honest that was a good thing as it got us to move around a bit and look for food places, otherwise we wouldn’t have ever left.

The location was fantastic! Personally we felt that we stayed at the perfect hotel on mazunte since it’s at the end and most people gathered on the other side. Waking up to the beach was lovely! Room was clean and close distance to the town.

I’d suggest purchasing luxury towels and nicer pool loungers.

The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast (not the orange juice!). Loved the swimming pool. The view and location are excellent. The room is comfortable.

Sorry to say the hotel's restaurant food (after breakfast) was the worst I ever had. The cook in the kitchen didn't seem to have a clue. We stayed for 8 nights but it didn't get any better. I got sick when we first arrived and I believe it was from their fish tiritas in lime juice. Our New Year's eve dinner was horrible and a complete disaster. I could't eat it and went to sleep hungry. I don't recommend their restaurant. Another negative is the hostel right next to the hotel. People hang out all day playing loud electronic music using a drum machine and synthesizer. Sometimes it sounded like they were rehearsing a band. The manager said there is nothing they can do about it. It's a real shame because it drowns out the sound of the ocean.
