    Lovely hotel in Andi setting
Fantastic location and friendly helpful staff. Big shout out to Raphaelo who was particularly helpful.
Everything was great. A few little tweaks in the room could’ve been good like having some pegs on the doors and maybe another towel but we did like everything.

Overall an exceptional place to stay.
The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful, the view from the room was fabulous and the room was literally just a few steps to a gorgeous beach suitable for swimming and snorkeling.
The room was rather small with limited storage space. The staff put away the beach chairs/umbrellas at 4:00 PM and it would have been nice to sit on the beach in the shade in the late afternoon and watch the sunset.

A Quiet Beachfront Stay in Mazunte
I picked Hotel Ziga Playa on my solo trip for it's proximity to the beach -- I dont get a lot of ocean in the midwest so it was top of the checklist. You walk down a set of stairs and you are immediately on the beach. No roads, no crowds, just ocean. My room had a balcony overlooking the water with a hammock, two chairs, and a table. Letting the sunrise wake me up with the ocean right outside and being able to step out on the balcony to take it all in was just fantastic. I never once turned on the air conditioner, even though it was in the 90s. The ocean breeze and a large ceiling fan did all the work. Being able to fall asleep to the sound of the waves every night was pure magic. Oh, and I can't forget, the stars! My room was bigger than the photos suggest. I expected something small and maybe even a little cramped but my room was spacious. Breakfast on the oceanfront patio, which also serves as their restaurant, was unforgettable. One morning I had a not so small iguana keeping me company, and another morning I watched whales breaching in the distance. Everything in Mazunte is walkable and there are nearby bars with live music if you want nightlife, but the hotel itself is just enough removed that it is peaceful and perfect for relaxing. This place made it easy to slow down, breathe deeper, and actually feel like I was on vacation. The staff is also kind and welcoming. There are a couple staff members who speak English but I would say it's always good to have a few words of the local language under your belt anywhere you go.
This is not a luxury resort, and it does not pretend to be. If you inspect too closely you'll notice that the overall finish is slightly less than perfect. Please don't get me wrong, it's lovely. Just don't expect the 4 Seasons. You are paying for the beach and the perfect sunrises and probably that hammock on your balcony. Because the hotel is very open to the outdoors (and I intentionally left it that way) I had some insects in the room/bathroom. Everything was clean, and it did not bother me, but it is something to expect in a beach/dry tropical jungle environment. I would say that you need to expect this anywhere in Mazunte. So, get right with nature before you go. The ocean in front of the hotel can a little rough. I still swam here, just keep an eye on it. The slightky more protected and calmer swimming area is closer to Punta Cometa, so you may need to walk a little if you want gentler water -- the walk is not far. Walk on the beach to get there faster - or take the "long" way and shop! The hotel will provide you with a chair and umbrella for the beach in front of the hotel if you want to stay put, which was really great.. The restaurant closes early, around 4:30 pm. I think the listing tells you that -- I know I had this info before I went and there us a sign in front of the entrance restating this. A few nights I came back from activities and wished I could just eat at the hotel, but had to walk "into town" instead. Mazunte is small, and the food is so good generally, so it is not a big deal, but it is worth knowing and being prepared for that.

Great value for a beautiful location with amazing hospitality.
The property is located on a cliff overlooking Mazunte beach absolutely breathtaking. The staff were very sweet and helpful. It felt like I was staying with distant cousins and aunties. The food in the hotel restaurant is all really fresh and flavorful, the restaurant itself is on a terrace overlooking the ocean. I really liked that it was quiet and no music blasting or anything like that. All you hear is the waves which is the best sound to hear in a spot like that. Definitely consider this hotel and its location a hidden gem.
Everything was really nice, I don’t have any complaints.
