Fantastic location and friendly helpful staff. Big shout out to Raphaelo who was particularly helpful.
Everything was great. A few little tweaks in the room could’ve been good like having some pegs on the doors and maybe another towel but we did like everything.

Right on the beach only 25 steps down to the sand
The bed was quite firm but the view and location you just can’t beat .

The restaurant hours! I didn’t get to try it, but next time!

The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful, the view from the room was fabulous and the room was literally just a few steps to a gorgeous beach suitable for swimming and snorkeling.
The room was rather small with limited storage space. The staff put away the beach chairs/umbrellas at 4:00 PM and it would have been nice to sit on the beach in the shade in the late afternoon and watch the sunset.

I picked Hotel Ziga Playa on my solo trip for it's proximity to the beach -- I dont get a lot of ocean in the midwest so it was top of the checklist. You walk down a set of stairs and you are immediately on the beach. No roads, no crowds, just ocean.
My room had a balcony overlooking the water with a hammock, two chairs, and a table. Letting the sunrise wake me up with the ocean right outside and being able to step out on the balcony to take it all in was just fantastic. I never once turned on the air conditioner, even though it was in the 90s. The ocean breeze and a large ceiling fan did all the work. Being able to fall asleep to the sound of the waves every night was pure magic. Oh, and I can't forget, the stars!
My room was bigger than the photos suggest. I expected something small and maybe even a little cramped but my room was spacious.
Breakfast on the oceanfront patio, which also serves as their restaurant, was unforgettable. One morning I had a not so small iguana keeping me company, and another morning I watched whales breaching in the distance.
Everything in Mazunte is walkable and there are nearby bars with live music if you want nightlife, but the hotel itself is just enough removed that it is peaceful and perfect for relaxing. This place made it easy to slow down, breathe deeper, and actually feel like I was on vacation.
The staff is also kind and welcoming. There are a couple staff members who speak English but I would say it's always good to have a few words of the local language under your belt anywhere you go.
This is not a luxury resort, and it does not pretend to be. If you inspect too closely you'll notice that the overall finish is slightly less than perfect. Please don't get me wrong, it's lovely. Just don't expect the 4 Seasons. You are paying for the beach and the perfect sunrises and probably that hammock on your balcony.
Because the hotel is very open to the outdoors (and I intentionally left it that way) I had some insects in the room/bathroom. Everything was clean, and it did not bother me, but it is something to expect in a beach/dry tropical jungle environment. I would say that you need to expect this anywhere in Mazunte. So, get right with nature before you go.
The ocean in front of the hotel can a little rough. I still swam here, just keep an eye on it. The slightky more protected and calmer swimming area is closer to Punta Cometa, so you may need to walk a little if you want gentler water -- the walk is not far. Walk on the beach to get there faster - or take the "long" way and shop!
The hotel will provide you with a chair and umbrella for the beach in front of the hotel if you want to stay put, which was really great..
The restaurant closes early, around 4:30 pm. I think the listing tells you that -- I know I had this info before I went and there us a sign in front of the entrance restating this. A few nights I came back from activities and wished I could just eat at the hotel, but had to walk "into town" instead. Mazunte is small, and the food is so good generally, so it is not a big deal, but it is worth knowing and being prepared for that.

The property is located on a cliff overlooking Mazunte beach absolutely breathtaking. The staff were very sweet and helpful. It felt like I was staying with distant cousins and aunties. The food in the hotel restaurant is all really fresh and flavorful, the restaurant itself is on a terrace overlooking the ocean. I really liked that it was quiet and no music blasting or anything like that. All you hear is the waves which is the best sound to hear in a spot like that. Definitely consider this hotel and its location a hidden gem.
Everything was really nice, I don’t have any complaints.

Right on the beach. Fantastic view from the balcony. Air con worked great. Safe in the room. Plenty of outlets to charge phones. Confortable bad ( expect the pillows ). Marco at front desk was very helpful and kind. Great service. Hotel has a parking near the property. And nice restaurant with a beautiful terrace overlooking the beach.

This place is a true hidden gem. Literally on the beach, it's worth paying a little more if you can for a room with an oceanview balcony because they are truly ocean front. My room was squeaky clean and had an amazing balcony with hammocks and a bistro table, plus a comfy bed and large bathroom. You're close to restaurants and cafes too. The value for money is crazy, I would absolutely stay here again if/when I come back to Mazunte.

The room was amazing right on the beach with vast sea views and lots of privacy.
You couldn't really swim with the big waves but lovely to just stroll along the beach and dip in to refresh.

The location of the hotel is amazing, right at the beach and walking distance from all the shops and restaurants of the small beach town. Room was clean and spacious. Friendly staff.
It would be nice to have mini fridge in the room. Restaurant was poor but there are other options nearby.

The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Loved how it’s on the beach, it’s a great location. AC worked great.
Even though everything was great, it cost more than most hotels in the area. I would definitely consider coming back but depending on the price.

Beautiful location with no doubt the best views of the beach! Very friendly staff. Restaurant on site. Very close to restaurants and shops. Quiet beach town so if you're looking for a party this area isn't the best but if you're looking for quiet relaxation it's perfect.
Nothing bad to say really. Which is unusual for me!

it was paradise! we had a huge room with a balcony overlooking the ocean - it was insanely beautiful. the hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. the hotel is on the beachfront and you can walk down from the hotel to the beach on a private stairway. the hotel restaurant overlooks the sea and has tasty food.
the internet in our room was really bad but was fine in the corridor and downstairs

Pasada Ziga has the best location in Muzunte without a doubt. Located within walking distance to the restaurants and shops in the village and an easy walk to both popular yoga studios. The property has an amazing outlook onto the water and the coast in both directions. The hotel is perched at the end of the beach providing the view and cool breeze without the long trek up the steep hills that other properties have with similar views. Beach access is direct from the hotel allowing you to go down the steps for a quick swim in the ocean. Amazing location. The hotel offers a range of rooms accommodating for different budgets with most rooms having the sea views.
nothing!

I stayed here with a friend and we both loved this spot! The view from the room was incredible, and the property is only steps from the beach and very close to town. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this property to anyone staying in Mazunte!

The hotel needs a few renovations, maybe to add a closet and put curtains in the bathroom but is still worth it to stay
