Location was great, very central with everything within 15 mins walk. Excellent staff and great local advice including restaurant choices.
The room at the rear of the property is a little noisy early in the morning but it wasn’t an issue for us.

The property is an excellent central location, inside and attached to a mediaeval tower. You enter the first floor guest house via two and a half flights of steps entering a central common room with rooms off. That room and our room are beautifully decorated in 19th century palace style, including hand painted wall decoration. Our room, Dante, overlooks a church facade, which we loved. We were very comfortable in the house and our room and enjoyed the feeling that it was ours for the duration, as you were only likely to see Alessandro, the owner, if guests had selected to take breakfast there.
Honestly, there was nothing that we didn’t like, but we like to be left to ourselves to come and go as we like without too much ceremony. For us it was perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely and historic guesthouse, and our host was exceptional.
We stayed during a particularly cold few days in December and the heaters that were provided took a long time to heat the rooms.
