The place was quite grim, and after considering some of the reviews before booking, I was confused by some of the ratings based on my experience. At first glance, the place appeared clean, but once we started using things, it became clear that this was not the case. The cutlery was not clean properly, and some of the mugs were stained. However, the biggest issue was the bedding. The pillows, duvet and mattress covers were stained, had hairs and in poor condition. I found this particularly concerning, as the bedding should have been clean and ready for guests upon arrival. Fortunately, I made the host aware of the issue, and they were prompt in addressing it. The staff who dealt with the problem were very polite and responded quickly, replacing all of the bedding. However, I was disappointed that I had to ask for this in the first place. Had I not checked everything carefully, I would have assumed that the bedding was clean and ready to use. I also noticed that the carpet underneath the beds appeared not to have been vacuumed for some time. Fortunately, there was a hoover outside the door, which I ended up using myself to ensure the carpets were free of dust. Overall, I felt very uncomfortable during my stay. While I appreciate that the staff responded quickly and politely when I raised the issues, the cleanliness and condition of the accommodation really put me off. Based on my experience, I would not return or recommend this place.
