Great home would stay again

The location of the property was perfect and we found the rooms to be spacious and comfortable. We were able to have our own space which is amazing considering there were 3 adults and 4 teens together! The host was wonderful and very helpful. Every message we sent was answered promptly and efficiently.

The only slight complaint we had, and it really is very minor was that we could have done with some baking trays for the oven.

What we liked most was the location. The house is just a few steps from the seafront, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and entertainment options nearby. The neighborhood felt family-friendly and relatively quiet, which contributed to a pleasant stay. The property is very spacious and comfortably accommodated our group of up to 10 people, exactly as advertised. It also includes all the essential amenities, such as bedrooms, a kitchen, bathrooms, and an outdoor backyard area. The appliances and kitchen utensils were all functional and met our needs well. Another positive aspect was the communication: both the host and the landlord were responsive, approachable, and quick to reply throughout our stay.

However, several negative issues were identified during our stay. The streets surrounding the property lacked proper public cleanliness, we noticed litter scattered around every day. The house is in urgent need of both structural and interior maintenance. We encountered a dead rat in one of the bathrooms, a leak in the living room ceiling that appeared to be caused by poor waterproofing from the en-suite shower above, some bed linens that had visible stains, bedrooms door handles were faulty and did not close properly and a large amount of rubbish left behind by previous guests remained at the property until the day we arrived being removed later. All of these issues were reported immediately to both the host and the landlord, with photos and videos provided as soon as each problem was identified. While they responded promptly and courteously to our messages, no effective action was taken to resolve these issues during the period of our stay. Instead, the 100 pounds damage fee paid at reservation was promptly refunded due to the inconveniences caused. In summary, the property's excellent location, spacious layout, and prompt communication from the host and landlord are definite strengths. However, the cleanliness concerns, maintenance issues, and lack of follow-through on the reported problems impacted our overall experience. With the necessary repairs, improvements, and a more proactive approach to addressing guest concerns, this property has the potential to provide a much better stay in the future.
