A fabulous building in a fabulous location.

The location in the centre of the old town was fabulous, situated on an old cobbled square in front of the Cathedral. The hotel is a converted church property, with original features and an amazing view down over Le Mans. There were numerous restaurants in the vicinity, and we had fun exploring the cobbled streets and alleys.

We had a warm welcome from Eric, and help in choosing a restaurant. We hope to come again.

Breakfast was typically french , perfectly satisfactory. Coffee good from a flask. The room was stunning, very grand, bed very comfortable.

Amazing stay right opposite the cathedral and within walking distance of restaurants!

We were pleasantly surprised by this property. Our bedroom overlooked the beautiful Saint Julien cathedral. The room is beautifully decorated and feels very French. Our hosts Eric and Brigitte were so welcoming. Our continental breakfast was delicious, with delicious croissants and homemade jams and yogurt. We will definitely return to La Demeure de Laclais when we’re back in Le Mans.

Worth a stay

Location was fantastic in the old part of Le Mans right opposite the Cathedral. Our room had a balcony with stunning views of Le Mans. Breakfast very traditional.

The overall look and feel is tired and jaded. The shower didn't work properly and leaked all over the bathroom, which got soaked. Breakfast average

In the right place

Huge bedroom with feature bath at one end, sitting room, roof terrace. Right in the pretty historic centre near everything. Cheap public parking outside door. Decent breakfast included.

Lovely bath but I do much prefer a shower. Two flights of winding stairs to hump bags up not for the feint hearted. It was all a.little bit tired and a broken window had been taped up with card.

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous part of Le Mans.

Great location close to shops bars and restaurants. Opposite the beautiful cathedral. The room was spacious beautifully furnished, comfortable bed, nice bed linen and nice fluffy towels. The en-suite had a nice hot shower with good water pressure, nice fixtures and fittings and was very clean. Our breakfast was freshly made tea and coffee. Homemade yogurt, homemade jams, fresh croissants, fresh bread as much as you want. Excellent all round and we will definitely stay again.

Probably the best place I have evstayed in a city that surprised me more than any other. Perfection

The house was stunning, the location was perfect, the host was charming, the rooms were spacious and comfortable - and beautiful. The entire experience was wonderful. This is a fabulous hotel/B&B on the edge of the 'plantagenet' medieval city and immediately opposite a simply fabulous cathedral.

Wonderful Chambre D’hôte in the historical centre of Le Mans

Wonderful property; right opposite the cathedral. Such a beautiful building and a fabulous room. It far exceeded our expectations. The view from the Cyrano Suite was wonderful. Very comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast. Eric was very welcoming and helpful. Would certainly recommend.

The chapel room. The historical building and furniture. View to the Garden and a fresh breeze at Night. Located in the centre next to the amazing church. There is a tram in the City.

stunning view over the city from the balcony, and the cathedral from the sitting room. Brilliant location in the old part of the city and short walk to the town centre square. amazing free standing bath. plenty of hot water. comfortable bed. Good breakfast of croissants and bread with a tasty selection of home made jams.

This place was amazing!!! The rooms were beautiful in a beautiful location. The host was very kind. If you want to stay near the old town of Le Mans (which you really should look into if you haven't), stay here. Also, the location to the Cathederal is ideal. The cathedral is amazing. The old town is amazing. This place is amazing. I highly recommend.

We didn't like that we made the mistake of only staying one day. We didnt know how amazing Le Mans was. We came for the 24 hours of Le Mans race circuit and found out the city is magical. Make sure to book reservations at restaurants.
