Not sure if they were aiming for shabby chic or just shabby, not a great location, directly on a tram line, very basic room, poor lighting, non-existent staff, very little food for breakfast

During the night the radiators made the sound of water dripping which kept us awake.

The AC did not work. I booked a room with a sofa bed and was informed upon arrival that they were 'no more, all sold'. I booked with breakfast included and the staff tried to tell me i did book breakfast. Breakfast was very poor and small. The bacon was swimming in water and there was a poor selection of fruit.

We love this hotel - this is the 3rd year running we have stayed there on our way back from the Charente . Perfect location . Beautiful rooms , friendly staff.

We were disappointed this year . There were no towels , just one tea bag and some massive cobwebs in the bathroom . One highlight of our stay at this hotel is the amazing breakfasts . This year the kitchen was closed for annual holidays and the breakfast was frankly sparse . Hot food tureens empty , hot drink machine not working . Very little choice of anything much . We had to ask for bowls for cereal . Scraping bottom of jars for jam and marmalade. One slice of cheese and the end of a piece of goats cheese . The young man was very good but run off his feet .We were disappointed and it was very expensive.

Bed linen very clean and rooms big and nicely laid out .

The breakfast was poor . Not a great choice and disappointed no marmalade no salted butter . No spoons for cereal ( had to ask ) they seemed to have run out of baguette . Coffee machine needed time after each guest to work Shower poor in bathroom

Very dated. Odd layout, bathroom very narrow and long. Not much space. Barely any staff at breakfast to ensure ok. Just seemed very mediocre.

I am afraid our stay was not the best, therefore very little to say that we liked about the property other than we slept well and it is a good central location. Parking outside was good but limited

Staff were welcoming but problems started with lift not working and having to drag cases up 2 flights. Room very basic and small not like pictures. Air conditioning was on but barely working. Shower was stuck in one position which was pretty useless so had to hand hold to wash. Breakfast was poor. Only hot option was scrambled eggs with no bread for toast. Limp fruit on cold food area. Only had remaining croissants but no jams. Not good. Outside area red carpet was dirty and could do with being swept.

The hotel was very close to the old town.

On a Saturday night the old town is very busy and active. This means the street outside the hotel can be noisy with revellers until late into the evening.

Lovely stay

Location was great. Tram stop right outside and a short walk to the centre. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful.

The shower was a little strange, wasn't set up quite right so you had to stand really close to the wall to get water on you.

A well located hotel with good rooms which could improve the breakfast

The location was good within walking distance of the old town and many restaurants, with parking outside invaluable although limited. The hotel looks great from the outside. The bedroom was good.

The public areas seemed a little neglected. The breakfast let the hotel down - when we arrived an hour before breakfast was finished there was no member of staff there to help and a limited selection left - while mirror and window cleaning was going on, making it feel rather impersonal.

Get a complete make over and I would go back!

Look from outside was ok but cigarette butts outside.

It’s is very tired and needs a complete makeover. Our room was a good size but the bed was too big for the bed frame and looked ridiculous! On arrival the flowers at reception were dead to the point all the petals were laying around the water stagnant!!! Not a good first impression.

Staff was supportive and kind.

This is by no means a 4-star hotel. It is old, shabby, and smelly. Way past its glory days. In a way, the price you pay is fair for what you get. But I was looking for a 4-star, and this ain't it.

Friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English. Substantial breakfast ~ lots of variety. Elevator for four floors. Comfortable beds. Quiet. Air conditioning.

Modern Hotel in the Centre of Le Mans

This Hotel was very comfortable and is situated in the centre of the city so it was easy to go to the circuit via tram or bus. The breakfast was excellent a lot of breads, cereals, fruits, pastries and other items. Thanks to this excellent breakfast it made my stay and the 1000 motogp race more enjoyable. The staff working there were professional and very friendly. The bathroom was very comfortable and modern.
