Bed clean but floor surrounding it filthy

When booking said we’d arrive between 8 - 9 pm. Arrived at 8.30. Receptionist already had coat on ready to leave. Said no knowledge of us arriving later but knew my name without me stating anything - didn’t even have to give confirmation code, did book us in and by the time I collected suitcase from car she had packed up and left!

Basic facilities available, good breakfast and the bed was very comfortable.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. Breakfast was good. Nice location a few paces from a lake. One of the few food places open was Miam's in Arnage, where we had very nice pizzas and salad.

The room size was very small. Insufficient space for two persons with luggage and a dog to function. Lack of facilities nearby. Most of the bars and restaurants were closed as it was Sunday.

The 'mezzanine' floor for the twin beds. It was clean.

The location - we were at the back of the hotel so the view was semi-industrial. The room was also rather small.

Nothing to report as the property was fully booked.

The very helpful lady at reception explained the situation and kindly contacted booking.com to cancel our reservation when it transpired that there were no more rooms available.

Upon arrival we found that they were fully booked with no room available for us but this hadn’t been reflected on booking.com. However booking.com still shows that I have a pending review for this property so I am obliged to comment to get rid of that annoyance.

Disappointing

Location only good and the A/C

Poor cleaning. Small room for the guest involved. Carpet floor outdated. Virtual Reception (like an ATM) in the evening time probably some people cannot get the keys easily. However, in the morning personnel push to you to go out.

Nice size room, particularly liked the usb socket next to the bed on one side and the normal socket on the other side. Breakfast was good. Shower was very nice, plenty of nice hot water
