Delightful accommodation, utterly pristine, shared kitchen is lovely as well, terrific experience...

Literally looked like my room, its en suite, and the adjacent shared dining space were ALL brand-new -- the MOST exceptional level of construction, design, and pristine condition. In addition to the full kitchen which was nicely stocked with supplies there was also an array of hot beverages, sugar, etc. -- including an additional small kettle and tea/coffee service in my room. Comfy bed, very upscale contemporary design of the bathroom in particular.

My GPS lost cell service en route as it neared the property...but the route it took me was NOT ideal as, upon departing the next day, a much different/better exit route was used. So just a heads-up....especially if arriving after-hours in the dark as I did. The host graciously greeted me around 7:30 p.m. (and I had communicated to her ahead of time about my late arrival). Obviously the property isn't responsible for the sat-nav issue or dicey cell service, just wanting others to be aware as I was traveling solo and was a tad freaked out at the time. Also the curtains in my room were sheer so no nighttime privacy (changed in the bathroom!).

This was not value for money - basically a double bed for the night, and we won’t be staying there again.

Very rural

We travelled 12 hours in heavy rain most of the way from Southern Spain to the property. Arrived at 19:30 in the pitch dark. Cold and hungry anxious to get there so as not to keep the Hosts up although I did message to say we would be late due to rain and weather. No explanation as to wifi code or anything. I enquired as to whether we could order a delivery and she didn’t know but said she would ask her Son. By that time, we settled for tea and biscuits we had in the car. Husband and dog exhausted. I was under the impression I had booked a bigger room as per the images - no it was 1 small room with a double bed for a couple and a big dog. The other room upstairs was not a pet friendly room. Our dog was €5 extra in cash - which fortunately we had cash on us. I just feel sometimes pictures can be misleading and after a long drive a little bit of hospitality would have been appreciated

Rustic cottage accomodation

Restored farm building restored ro a very high standard. Everything you might need during your stay has been thought about and included. Very rustic but with modern comforts and requirements in mind i.e. an EV charger. The breakfast (charged as an extra €10 per person and paid locally) was excellent. Pet friendly

The house and the location we’re nice although inside the home there is a very unsafe and uncomfortable element which is a spiral metal staircase without any safety bars and right in the middle of a very tiny living/kitchen area so you need to constantly be careful not to bump your head into. It can be a safety hazard especially if with children. Despite this the property was very clean, with fresh linens and a spotless bathroom

Unfortunately our stay was not made pleasant at all to say the least because of the lady owner who lives in the same courtyard and who showed up to give us the keys ( although property was self check in) , not only that was almost impossible to communicate with her because she doesn’t understands or speaks English but she was not in a very good state, she seemed drunk. We didn’t even had time to go inside and leave our luggage when she asked us when are we leaving the next day..and we agreed together by 12 is ok . Next morning at 10 she showed up in the garden shouting at us that we have to leave straight away and why are we still there ..and when I tried to explain to her that we all agreed check out at 12 she called me rude and unkind.

I would have stayed longer

It was so nice, we had our little cottage, fenced for the dog. Ideal to enjoy the sunset. The place inside had everything you need. The area is so peaceful, with a few animals to see. I would have stayed longer.

Lovely place

Well kitted out. Nice little kitchenette and large bathroom with nice shower. Perfect for a stopover on our way down through France. Nice comfy bed above and 1.5 person sofa bed below. They provided a good cot for us too. The kids loved looking at the animals. The owners were very nice, and kindly gave us some home grown tomatoes and cucumbers which were delicious! The only thing is that the stairs were a bit precarious, not ideal with young children. We weren’t there long enough for it to become a problem though. Very pleasant stay, thank you.

The remote location and surroundings with animals around the setting was truly straight out of a fairytale.

Calm, peaceful and comfortable holiday gite

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, just what we needed for a relaxing break to our journey. The owners were very accommodating and pleasant. The location extremely peaceful and calm and perfect for our little dog who was made very welcome. We will definitely stay at this gite again.

Lovely old shed

It is amazing what you can fit into a small space. I liked the fact that the outside had not been totally modernized. It looked what it was and what it had been used for. It was an old shed. But the inside was modernized to a very high standard and had everything you could possibly want. The hosts were lovely people and the breakfast was more than we could manage.

I don't want to say that I did not like the stairs up to the mezzanine floor but at 77 and 85 it was a bit advanturous. However, for younger people it should not be a problem.

although I’d seen the staircase in previous reviews I didn’t appreciate just how dangerous it was. the fact that the toilet is downstairs means you risk life and limb if you need the toilet overnight. I considered sleeping downstairs on the couch but sadly it’s only a tiny two seater so it was not possible. The other negative is that the kitchenette is tucked away underneath the staircase. this led to many bangs to the head and bruised shoulders.

Truely great place

The place is beautiful. Great location. Nice and cosy. Just enough for two. But most of all quiet. The owners were lovely.

Did not dislike anything. Loved it all. However I would say that if any of your party are unstable on their feet or suffer with vertigo. Be mindful as the stairs to the bedroom are not for the faint hearted.

We stayed here twice during our travels in France. Location was perfect for us and the walks with the dog along the country lanes from the front door were a a bonus we hadn't expected. Hosts were very pleasant and discrete. We are likely to stay here again in the future. Highly recommended

Property was lovely, small but perfectly adequate for a stop over enroute. Very clean with a private garden area.

The stairs up to the bedroom were tiny and in my opinion very dangerous, not suitable for elderly or disabled people.

Great stopover location and close to Le Mans museum and circuit.

We were delayed badly and arrived very late but owners were very helpful and accommodating to help us out. Small but ideal for a couple, ok for a young family of four for a night stopover.

More of a misunderstanding than anything - you will need to book breakfast as extra or there is a shop and nice bakery in Spay.

We didn’t realise the kitchen and lounge would be smaller than the bathroom. You had to keep watching your head as the spiral staircase was sticking into the kitchen. The sofa in the lounge was dreadfully uncomfortable and the stairs shouldn’t have passed a safety check. The mattress needs changing and really hurt my back. Shame the idea is ok but dangerous stairs
