Excellent all around!

The couple who own and run this chambre d'hote are delightful and excellent hosts! They stayed up to welcome us as we couldn't get there until two hours after the stated check in window on the booking. The room is a surprising mix of modern amenities in a classic French country estate. Very spacious, feels very luxurious. The location is ideal for exploring the old town, cathedral and restaurants by walking. There is a farmers' market by the cathedral on Wednesdays, don't miss it if you are there on that morning! The hosts provide an absolutely wonderful breakfast at your preferred time in the morning.

Clean bed and facilities, very French style, excellent welcome, good English spoken, simple but fresh breakfast with homemade produce. Good choice of restaurants within 10 mins walk. This chambres d’hôtes is well recommended.

This was a wonderful property. Bernard and his wife were so hospitable, We had a really wonderful breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is within easy walking distance of the old town and we were given a great restaurant recommendation by Bernard. Highly recommended stay and we would love to return!

A lovely place to stay for visiting Le Mans with very welcoming hosts.

We had a very nice spacious bedroom/bathroom, decorated perfectly for an classic French property of character. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Parking in a private secure location was a huge bonus. The convenient location is about a 10 minute walk to the town centre, cathedral and medieval area.

Extremely pleasant hosts and accommodation.

Location ideal, a short walk to old city area, where the host’s restaurant recommendation turned out to be one of the best meals of our holiday in France. Secure parking was an important factor for us (car full of bags). Warm and very hospitable host couple, who went out of their way to greet on arrival and ensure breakfast was well prepared (including home made jam). Room attention to detail and comfort was extremely well thought out and presented.

From the initial contact to leaving we found our hosts extremely friendly, kind & helpful. The accommodation was spotless, breakfast ample & close to the old city. Lovely courtyard to relax in. Secure Parking was provided at our request.

Great place to stay within walking distance to the town.

Such a beautiful house and gardens in a great location in Le Mans close to all amenities with plenty of bars and restaurants and the beautiful medieval old town. All within walking distance. The house is very comfortable with great beds. Bernaud and his wife were great hosts and gave us restaurant recommendations and advice for our one night stop over trip. Such a lovely couple. Very warm and hospitable. Breakfast was great too and nothing was too much trouble.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. What might be nice is to have tea and coffee facilities in the room for a late night/early morning cuppa. I'm sure Bernaud and his wife would accommodate this but it would be nice not to have to disturb them.

Very friendly welcome, able to understand english when my french is very little. Bernard and wife offered french hospitality at its best. Even homemade cakes and jams! Continental breakfast but fab. Peaceful location, prefect walk into Cathedral area and a car garage... Please make sure you offer and pay the local taxes ... keep it independent!

Our room was perfect with air con too, only downside - take a small overnight bag, if your room is on 2nd floor narrow stairs. Unlikely you will manage large suitcase - but talk to Bernard if booking in advance :-)

This gorgeous property is within a short walk of the centre and all the amenities that this offers. The property is full of classic French charm and the hosts were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Magnificent House in a Legendary Town. Would definitely come back!

Magnificent mansion in an unexpected place. A true oasis of peace almost in the middle of the city of Le Mans. Exceptionally friendly owner who made a very nice breakfast for us with amongst others a delicious grape jam from their own garden/grapevine.

We were located on second floor, with tight staircase, which we weren't expecting. The owners were very friendly, though I didn't know where to find them to ask for another pillow. Had some difficulty turning shower temperature down
