Family run retreat in stunning rural Amed

Owners Luh and George were so friendly and helpful, ensuring our family had the most wonderful stay. We stayed in the family house which was ideal for us and offered a beautiful view of the spectacular sunrise. We enjoyed our breakfast and some lunches and dinners here as well as nearby restaurants, which were all brilliant. The Japanese wreck is moments away as well as lots of other local snorkelling spots. We would love to return here next time we are in Bali!

Paradise!

This place was paradise. The location is amazing and the views are panoramic ocean and mountains. The gardens are beautiful. The whole place has so much character. Ni Lhu’s cooking was great! The perfect place to relax and watch the world go by.

great garden, huts need new beds

the property itself is amazing, great gardens, restaurant with view, breakfast is good, more variation than most places ( including fried vegetables, fried rice) . huts are nice with good bathrooms. location is nice- close to wreck. ( snorkeling) the lady running the place is absolutely lovely.

the beds. sorely in need of upgrade. my husband could not even lift a finger without the whole bed shaking, and waking me. could feel springs in the mattress. single sheets had oil stains. queen had a doona, but no cover.. male owner pretty disinterested- when my daughter fell through one of the steps of a hut, his reaction was: i need to repair that now ( yes, its rotten through, my daughter is ok, thanks for asking…) they arranged driver and we rented fins, - she acted like it was a personal favour, but the prices charged were so much higher than anywhere else. ( had borrowed fins from hotels before) all in all: could have been a great stay, if it had some more love, attention for facilities, and upgrade of beds.

Location, views, Cottage layout . Just cross the road to snorkel in the beach (Japanese Shipwreck ) to see some amazing colours

Great location, beautiful view. George and staff very helpful. Just opposite the Japanese wreck for snorkeling. Organise a local down on the beach to take you out on a boat for a fantastic snorkeling trip.

Wonderful !!

Very enchanted place !!! This spot is a delicious front of sea with a peaceful view. You will awake surounded by flowers. Ideal for a break after running across Bali. On top of that, the owners are present to have pleasant chat, to enjoy you with nice food and are available to inform you about snorkelling spot. Do not hesitate !

Вид великолепный! Шум океана и вид из окна лежа на кровати сказочные! Приветливая хозяйка ! Сомики в пруду сказочные! Ухоженный сад! Прекрасный бассейн с видом на океан и горы!

Старенькая мебель и текстиль нужно бы поменять и домик преобразятся !

La vue est top et le logement proche de l'épave japonaise. Possibilité de louer le matériel de snorkeling à l'hôtel même si ce n'était pas très explicite lorsque cela nous a été proposé (prêt ou location). Vu le prix, ce n'est pas un soucis. Le matin, le retour des pécheurs est un spectacle à lui même. A 30 minutes d'Amed mais la route est en train d'être refaite ce qui devrait réduire le temps de trajet. Un driveur se trouve à 100 mètres de l'hotel. Petit réfrigérateur dans la chambre appréciable. Il y a aussi une bouilloire mais vu la propreté générale des lieux, on a préféré ne pas l'utiliser.

Pas de chance pour nous, la piscine ne fonctionnait pas. La propreté était limite dans la salle de bain. Nous avons mangé un soir au resto d'Eka Purnama et le tofu avait un drôle de goût. Nous avons été malades mais ça s'est réglé grâce aux médicaments que nous avions. En résumé, cet établissement devait être top il y a quelques années mais il aurait besoin d'un grand rafraichissement.

Je suis déçue. La dame m'a affirmé que le payement par carte n'était pas passé et a demandé un payement en liquide. J'ai donc payé deux fois la réservation. J'ai demandé un justificatif de preuve, il est non exploitable car mal rempli. Une arnaque.

Das Highlight unseres Urlaubs

Wir haben diese Unterkunft geliebt! Die ganze Anlage wird von einem Ehepaar geführt, die ihr ganzes Herzblut in dieses Projekt gesteckt haben. Die Hütten sind super schön eingerichtet mit ausreichend Platz. Der ganze Garten ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail angelegt, man hat einen super Blick aufs Meer und der Pool ist ebenfalls schön. Das Essen im Restaurant ist nur zu empfehlen, umliegend gibt es aber fußläufig auch viele weitere Möglichkeiten. Wir haben hier direkt noch eine Nacht länger verbracht als geplant. Für Menschen die wissen, dass sie sich in Indonesien befinden (Stichwort Natur) ist die Unterkunft perfekt, Touris die eher auf schick und clean stehen, sind hier definitiv fehl am Platz.

Super spot pour amoureux de snorkeling. Vue magnifique, hôtes friendly

Accueil chaleureux, plongée en bas de l'établissement. Jolie cottage avec vue incroyable sur la mer et la montagne. Très jolie piscine avec vue mer. Un endroit magnifique pour les amoureux de plongée et snorkeling ! Réservation pour taxi et billets de bateaux pour les îles gili.

Le bungalow avec vu sur la mer, très beau mais c’est vraiment la seule chose que nous avons aimé ici.

Très compliqué de prendre une douche… un filet d’eau qui coule. En bord de route avec très peu de barrière vers la piscine, attention aux enfants. Bungalow en hauteur et la nuit avec le vent nous avions l’impression que le bungalow allait s’effondrer. Petit déjeuner vraiment pas top. C’est assez sale, il y a des déchets qui traîne sous les bungalow par terre. Emplacement un peu trop loin du centre d’Amed à mon goût. Le ménage dans la chambre n’est pas fait et les serviettes ne sont pas renouvelé tout les jours. Et pour couronner le tout nous n’avons pas eu d’électricité pendant 24h à notre arrivée, et rien ne nous a été prêté, ni bougie, ni lampe…

L’emplacement

Nous avons été d’abord séduits par l’endroit, même si l’établissement est un peu vétuste – ce qui fait partie du charme de Bali. En revanche, plusieurs points ont gâché notre séjour : la literie est très inconfortable, aucun ménage n’est fait dans les chambres et les poubelles (indispensables car on ne peut rien jeter dans les toilettes) ne sont jamais vidées. Côté restauration, nous avons été très désagréablement surpris : une note d’une autre famille nous a été ajoutée, les prix sont exorbitants pour la qualité servie et les comparaisons avec des établissements réputés comme Sunset Amed sont totalement injustifiées. Le service est extrêmement lent (plus d’une heure d’attente) car géré par une seule personne, et les portions sont ridiculement petites – une assiette de “frites” contenait littéralement quatre morceaux. Dommage, car le cadre avait du potentiel, mais la gestion et la qualité des prestations laissent un goût amer à notre séjour.

L’accueil le jour de notre arrivée, la piscine pas nickel au niveau de l’entretien, chambre non adaptée pour 4 personnes, obligé de mettre les valises dans la salle de bain. Lit d’appuis cassé.

Très belle vue sur la mer. En face de l’épave japonaise. Petits bungalows mais confortables. Petits déjeuners copieux et très bons.

Assez loin d’Amed (30 minutes en voiture) sur une route en très mauvais état. Heureusement quelques très bons Warung à côté. Pas de Grab ou Gojek sur place ou difficilement trouvables.

Die Lage ist super, die Frau die kocht und die Rezeption macht ist sehr bemüht.

Der Inhaber wirkt unsympathisch und man bekommt den Eindruck er pflegt die Unterkunft nicht gut, weil er denkt das ist nicht nötig. Die Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren nicht richtig sauber bzw. hatten Flecken. Das Bett war durchgelegen. Es gab Stromausfall, woran aber scheinbar nicht das Equipment der Unterkunft schuld war.
