Lovely and peaceful

Lovely room with a fantastic view and great breakfast every morning. As others have said, it’s in a quiet area, not in the town, but there are warungs and beach bar/restaurants and snorkeling nearby

Fantastic location, big, comfortable villa

Amed was one of our favourite places to stay and this villas location was perfect! 2 min walk from beach with amazing snorkelling. The villa was roomy, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. We arranged massages through the villa and they were some of the best we have had on our trip. The pool area was lovely with amazing views. We had a fantastic stay.

Property has great location on the hill overlooking lipah bay n easy walk to beach n snorkelling :) n a couple of great places to eat n drink . Also get a good view of volcano if weather is clear . Rooms are very nice too big and roomy :) Breakfast is good too and staff r very accomadating:)

Nice comfortable villa with nice amenities....don't expect good breakfast though.

PRO - The views of the beach was nice except for the power lines blocking some of the views. The pool was clean and the grounds very well kept. Location was excellent. top of hill. Wifi performance was also excellent. The room design was well done, plenty of seating area. Staff was over the top and exceptional, outstanding and friendly.

CONs - For the money paid per night I expected an outstanding breakfast, but was truly disappointed. The property applied a property service fee on my bill, this is shocking to me because places like Las Vegas or a larger city charges these type of fees.

Great room and location, friendly staff

The view from our room of the sea was amazing! The room was spacious and had a little fridge. The bed was comfortable. It was about a five-ten minute walk down to the sea where you could snorkel easily off the beach. We saw two sea turtles! The staff were very helpful, breakfast was great! There were several warung and an ice cream shop about ten minutes walk away. Getting a scooter from a local hire company dropped off was so convenient (60k/day). We could explore Amed and other snorkel spots. The view from the pool was lovely.

Incredible views with perfect location if you are ok with stairs.

I really enjoyed my stay at Shankara Parada. We stayed at the Ocean view villa on the top and the views are stunning. While sunrise is somewhat blocked it is still beautiful. The room was spacious, the king bed very comfortable, and everything was clean and well-kept bar the bathtub… don’t think you can take a bath as something burnt it but it’s a small sacrifice and I wasn’t bothered. The location is perfect—so accessible to the beach for swimming and snorkelling, with a few good restaurants just a short 5-minute walk away. I had just had an accident and couldn’t swim, but even then, I truly enjoyed my time here thanks to the beautiful views and the comfort of the stay. I actually quite liked the simple breakfast—it was perfectly adequate without excess or waste, which felt thoughtful. Yes, there are stairs, but staff are more than happy to help carry bags, and it adds to the charm of the place. That said, if you’re not good with stairs, this property may not suit you—and honestly, I found the Amed area in general has a lot of stairs everywhere. I wish to come again and stay if I can get the same room.

Views over the ocean are beautiful. Nice outdoor area to sit and private but near pool.Room spacious. Pool is lovely Appreciate the large drinking water container.

The bathroom shower area was a bit dark and had a dank smell. The kitchen was unexpected but also had a stale smell about it.

Best choice in Amed

We stayed in a two-bedroom villa, and it was so clean, spacious and cozy. The ocean view from the terrace is so awesome. I was going to go to the hotel across the street and finally chose here, and it was such a great choice. The pool, room facilities, atmosphere, everything is better than there. It's very close to the ocean and there are many restaurants around.

One disadvantage is that the lighting in the living room is too dark in the evening. I really want to improve this.

Great location villa

The location amazing for snorkelling Lipah. The staff very nice and so very very helpful. They couriered my jewellery I left behind to my next hotel. Breakfast very nice also. Clean and comfy room.

Incredible spot to snorkel Lipah Beach

The location was a pleasant surprise, the beach was just down from the hotel. We could easily walk down the steps to the coral in a main snorkel site. If you don’t have a scooter, this accommodation is excellent for being able to access some great marine life / snorkel with a quick and easy walk to the beach. The hotel pool was fantastic and so warm, it was like being in a bathtub with an excellent view of both the sunset and mount Agung. The breakfast area had an amazing outlook Lipah Beach and we could see fish jumping out of the ocean and research the days water weather conditions for snorkeling. We even saw a turtle from breakfast. Incredible! We hired a scooter from the hotel, which was very convenient. The breakfast was as good. No lunch or dinner on site, but the restaurants and cafes were an easy walk into Lipah Beach town area.

Beautiful place to stay

Beautiful villa with fantastic view over the beach and the sea. Room was clean and large. Good bathroom. Very comfortable veranda overlooking large grassed terrace with water views. We will definitely come back. Little cat was coming every morning asking for some treats which made the place very homely. Staff was very nice. Basic but nice breakfast.

Reception desk very often unattended. Very steep steps , but I guess if you want to have the views... Not suitable for older people or with mobility issues.

Cooling breeze at Shankara

I think the added bonus of the villa's is that they catch the cooling breeze which is very welcoming in the warm Bali weather . Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach for some good snorkelling and plenty of warungs nearby.

It is good, but I expect more for this money

Very nice location, helpful staff, big house.

We got a villa with 2 bedrooms. The second bedroom is very dark and has window just to the wall. Around sunset and to the night local boys meet on the road across villa snd talk very loudly, not good for having rest. Very poor breakfast.

Well-made rooms with excellent staff

The property is clean and beautiful with only five rooms. The staff is kind and super accommodating. The breakfast is nice. The airco works well and is on when you arrive. There’s a 19L bottle of drinking water in each room. The view over the ocean is wonderful.

The main road lies between the ocean and the property. Depending on your room, traffic can be heard (though not at night). When you book a room, you don’t know exactly which one you will get, and some are better than others.

Simply excellent

The panoramic view from the villa was amazing. We sent many evenings watching the sunset from our front porch. The villa was comfortable and clean and staff did a full clean on a daily basis. Breakfast excellent and the pool overlooking the beach was warm and a great way to wind down after a day of snorkelling.

The pillows were a bit hard and uncomfortable.

Great location but could use work

The location is right across the road from Lipah beach, a perfect spot for snorkelling. The breakfast was decent to start the day. Pool was clean and beautiful view.

I feel like it wasn’t worth the price / the wifi was almost non-existent for my stay / the restaurant is open only for breakfast / the tv didn’t work / shower pressure wasn’t the best and hot water ran out / tons of mosquitoes in the room / smell from bathroom filled the room

Great location with beautiful views and easy access to the beach. Plenty of good eating places around if you arent driving snd the staff were so pleasant and helpful. One of the nicest properties we have stayed in for the price after coming to Bali for 35 years.

A little bit of paradise

Well appointed 2 bedroom villa with fabulous views over Lipah Bay and the Bali Sea. The infinity pool that looks out over the bay is wonderful. There are 2 good restaurants within 50-60m that look directly over the bay and serve good food and drink. You can go snorkeling directly from the beach and there also outriggers that will sail you to other snorkelling spots and to the ideal spot to watch the sunset over Mt Agung. Will be back again!!😊

Perfect location and friendly staff

Very nice location, direkt at lipah beach. From the terrace you have a very nice view. It is good that it’s not directly in Amed, so a bit outside from the hustle and there are still a lot of warungs around

our bathroom smelled very bad, it seemed that people peed in there. The staff was very helpful and cleaned it, it was still a bit smelly but better
