Looking for the best Amed holiday escape?

This was my third visit to Aquamarine Beach Villas. It is my 'go to' place for relaxation when holidaying. This time I stayed in Villa Rinjani, which is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom villa. Beachfront location, the villa has two ways to enter, and has direct access to the beach right near the little beach bar. The snorkeling out front and the massages I had in the hut near the beach were wonderful. The Trattoria restaurant at the top of the hill has great food and also delivers to your villa, which is great if you don't want to walk the steep stairs. I once again had an excellent stay. The sounds of the ocean and the peaceful calm stay with you long after leaving this beautiful location.

As the price for these villas is on the high end for Amed and for Bali in general, the inclusion of breakfast in the room rate would add to the value-for-money experience.

Amazing all around!

We loved this peaceful small paradise! Snorkeling was great right off the beach- sea turtles, eel, sting ray and octopus (especially if you go early morning) the grass lawn next to the beach is perfect if you don’t want to sit on the sand! Thank you for a sweet retreat- just wish it was longer!

Wonderful Stay!

We loved our time at Aquamarine Beach Resort. Our villa was spotless, very spacious and had an amazing terrace with ocean views and a private pool. The location is quiet and right above a small beach with very good snorkeling. Breakfast served on our terrace was delicious and the staff were very friendly, helpful and relaxed. A perfect place to unwind — we would happily stay again! 🌴🌊

What a wonderful place! Aquamarine Village is located right by the beach, and from our accommodation we had a beautiful view over the ocean. Within just a short walk you’re on the lovely sandy beach, where there’s a cozy beach bar for food and drinks, and where you can also rent snorkel gear. The snorkeling here is fantastic: colorful coral, lots of fish, and we even spotted a turtle! We were also picked up directly from the beach by a small boat for a snorkel tour such a great experience. The Italian restaurant on the property serves really good food, and the warung next to it is also worth a visit.

AMAZING!!

Location is right on the beach with excellent snorkelling. Staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Breakfast delivered in your villa and lunch & dinner order in from nearby restaurant. Massage in the breaze and hearing the waves....exceptional. Went on a fishing boat to go snorkelling with turtles and feeding the fish. Besides this just relaxed on the balcony with our own private pool. What else do you need? Love, loved, loved it!

Our Villa was amazing, the pool, our private out door living area and the view watching the Sunrise was unbelievable. The snorkelling out the front is unreal. A very relaxing time, it was perfect.

Very relaxing, quiet location in beautiful gardens and villas.

The gardens and villas were beautiful with all the facilities you could want. Staff provided a good amount of information before arrival and were super helpful for the whole stay. Everything was very easy and relaxing.

The property is a little way out of the main snorkeling areas with a 20min drive on a pretty bumpy track. It’s easy to get taxis but they are not as cheap as other places in Bali.

Great location and villa.

Loved the villa, great mix of indoor and out outdoor space. Having only a few villa means the beach was not busy and was an amazing spot for snorkeling out the front.

Beautiful villas steps from the sea with amazing snorkelling and excellent service.

Tucked away in quiet corner about 20mins from Amed village, this was a fantastic place to ‘get away from it all’. The villas were beautiful with comfortable beds, from which you could wake up to dawn breaking over the ocean. The private pool was deep and the ocean, footsteps from bed, filled with new treasures every day - fish of every colour and breathtaking coral. The small beach was shared only with local fishing boats, and the beach side bar served up a great variety of juices, cold beer and cocktails. The staff were very helpful and kind and the nearby Warunga Ibus Sea View was a fabulous place to eat heartily and cheaply every night. Massages were done in a hut on the beach side and were relaxing and amazing value. Bring cash as the nearest ATM is back in Amed and local places don’t take cards. Breakfasts, delivered to the villa, were also a highlight. If I could come back, I would!

Beautiful, quiet, at the beach

Beautiful villa, felt very private and safe. Nice clean warm pool, good kitchenette, very nice restaurant Trattoria Amed - ala carte options, great pizza (around 120 000 Idr) nice local food as well. Massages on the beach amazing! (Around 250000 idr/60 min). Very nice beach bar, the beach and the whole property very very quiet and relaxed. Breakfast was available but we didn't order it. The only thing is it is very far from everything and the road /traffic is so so bad... But that's not the hotel's fault. We loved the place and would return. Sometimes the sea gets a lot of rubbish, but again, not their fault.

Great stay!

Everything was great, the villas is very private and comfortable! The staff helped us set up activities such as a snorkeling trip with a jukung and massages by the beach. We also really liked the food at both restaurants next to the hotel (Trattoria and Ibus). The location is a bit remote, but the staff was very helpful to arrange transportations and it was not expensive.

Best beach facing villas

It's a beautiful private villa overlooking the sea. Very well maintained. Crisp & clean sheets. Tasty breakfast, my favourite was a smoothie bowl! It's one of the few properties that has direct access to the beach which is an added advantage.

Paradise in every way!

Our private little house, Villa Makara, with private pool, was beautifully furnished Robinson Crusoe style, spacious and very comfortable. The view onto the ocean was majestic! Beautiful gardens between the bungalows were home to many birds, butterflies and even two roosters with their respective hens decorated the premises:-). WiFi worked very well and the staff were the best! We had a power-plug problem in the bedroom but that was fixed. Breakfast, not included in the price, could be ordered the night before and was delicious. The Italian restaurant right on top of the premises made truly delicious food and also delivered to the bungalows. Snorkeling from the beach was lovely too - we spent 3 exceptional days in Villa Makara, especially seeing we didn’t seek the bustle of rather far-off Amed centre. Very good massage on the premises too!

My partner has lung problems which made it hard for him to climb the stairs to the reception or the restaurant up top. But we felt so well down in our little paradise that we mostly ordered the food to our villa. For any necessary climbing, I did the job for him ;-)

A really comfortable place to stay and settle into what the area has to offer

The beach at the property was great for exploring and snorkeling, as were those nearby. It was easy to get around by scooter. The villa was large and comfortable, with a beautiful verandah. We enjoyed massages on site, and the aircon came in handy a few times in the heat of the day when we wanted to take a cool nap. Lovely spot.

For the price, a simple free breakfast option would have been nice, as we had at other places on our trip. There were a couple of issues with wifi and water on the site and the wider area while we were there, but the staff communicated clearly and it was quickly resolved.

Loved our stay

The 2 bedroom villa was perfect for my daughter and me. Wonderful views, sunrise over Lombok, lovely setting, comfortable furniture, mini kitchen, good massages, good wifi. The steps are a good workout! The Trattoria next door (north side)has wonderful food. Smoking tuna, mushroom steak, sesame crusted tuna, chocolate lava cake and nice Italian options too. The warung (south side) is a nice place to eat too.

While the little bay was pleasant, the better snorkeling and diving were further north. We should have hired a trigger boat and cruised up as a change from driving. Preferred Lipah beach. At Jemeluk, the beach and shallows were dirty and we hired a trigger boat to take us out to the snorkeling/diving sites past the rubbish. With so many locals lazing around, would be nice if the hotels banded together to organise a cleanup squad and employ them.

Best Place for Healing

Everything! View is amazing, staff is friendly and helpful. We had internet problem ans they quickly fixed it.

Location is kinda far from city center, but not a big deal as we love cooking. We went to local store for groceries and cook in the kitchen. But, there's italian restaurant in the villa and nice Warung next to the villa. There're mosquitos but they provide us with nett and mosquioes prevention.
