An exceptional beachfront accommodation, but far from the center of Amed

The accommodation is exceptional — very spacious and modern in front of the sea. In fact, with my wife and daughters, we had the section with two units, one of which opened directly onto the sea. Another building, separated by a wall, can host other guests. Each has its own private pool. Breakfast is generous, and the staff managing the property is very discreet. Finally, there’s the opportunity to go snorkeling with a local fishing family just 400 meters away — the best experience we had during our three-week stay.

The only and main downside is the location. It’s a 25-minute drive from the center of Amed, as the road (if you can call it that) is in terrible condition. Some work is underway on a small section, but it’s unlikely to improve the overall situation much. In short, a scooter or taxi is a must, with about 50 minutes needed for a round trip.

Beautiful location, even more beautiful, friendly, exceptional staff.

Fantastic property, beautiful pool, air conditioning worked very well. Location was incredible, basically no tourists and breathtaking views. Great food (breakfast provided as part of cost, option of lunch and dinner for additional very reasonable price). Staff able to source us scooters, snorkelling gear and a driver with no delay. Wayan, Ilo and Nyoman were so kind and welcoming, the place was spotless and very comfortable. We wanted somewhere out of the main strip of Amed and could not have been happier with the spot! If you want something near the town without having to travel though, this is probably a little far out. Very manageable with hiring a scooter or taxi though!

Perfect serenity

Personalised service, lovely people. the view!!! The private pool. So lovely being away from the tourist rat race

It is more remote than we anticipated but this was in fact lovely. You will need transport to get anywhere at all. We hired 2 scooters and even though the roads were atrocious, this did mean that there was little road traffic & everyone, including locals drove very slowly so it didn't feel so freaky on a bike.

Be careful with the staff and take care of your belongings

Good property

My wife forgot her expensive watch on the edge of the bed and we left in a hurry, i called the care taker Pa Wayan and informed him that we are coming back for watch and he should coordinate with his colleagues. We called him twice and he hung up. We went back to the Villa and the staff blatently denied of seeing the watch. Our Visit to this Villa left sour taste. I have been living in Indonesia for five years but never had any issues like this one. I will now never come back to Villa Ida Villas Amed

Good

1. Good and comfortable villa with great furniture 2. Big and clean swimming pool 3. Well kept garden 4. Great sea view and easy snorkeling entrance.You can rent snorkeling equipment there. 5. Enough space to sit with a big family and have a great sunset view. 6. There is a Smiling Budha cafe nearby with the different Indonesian food options.

1. Electricity problem for two days - it is hard to explain how bad was this.No one was fixing that quickly so our neighbor from other villa was doing that first day.Next day I was fixing it from my side even at night as air conditions were not working. 2. Another bit problem is related to stuff of the villa.They were always around us and we were under impression that we are stuff guests and it is not a private villa. We understand that they should do something at the villa, but it should be done quickly without going around guests and waking up us in the morning with loud voices. Per our opinion villa should be ready before the guests come and only some really necessary things should be done, but still quickly and silently, because we were not able to put baby asleep as they were doing food and speaking loudly. 3. Bed in the villa itself is not comfortable and it is not big as it is described. 4. Don't count that you can use sofa as an additional sleeping space.It is not comfortable and we were forced to pay for an additional bed which in fact is a mattress 5. Host is not responsive - I've been sending several whatsapp messages - but I got a response only next day offline. 6. There are lots of fishing boats on the beach so it is really noisy in the early morning.You should remember about this when you rent this villa especially if you have a small baby.

beautiful and expansive villa and patio, infinity pool in the back was sublime with ocean just a few steps away. very good breakfast. we loved just hanging out outside here by the pool

Fraudulent representation of the accommodation

Staff

Nice staff, good view. Watch out for all else. AVOID THIS PLACE. The accommodation is not as advertised and the owner is the rudest man in the world. In fact, I am calling Fraud on this place, and that is not a term I use lately. We booked (and would happily pay for) a two bedroom Villa on the beach. We were given one room on the shore that has another room a short stroll behind it beside the parking lot. There is a small outdoor area with a fridge and sink, but in no way is this a Villa of any description. There are many properties in the Amed area what offer accommodation equal to this and at a much lower rate. Booking.com was not especially helpful in this matter. I have worked as a travel writer for many years and have seen all manner of travel scams – this “bait & switch” is an old, and unacceptable. Don’t go to Villa Ida – there are many, many other places in Amed all of which will be more honest about what they have to offer.

False Advertising

Staff was nice, no one spoke English

The Villa we were given was nice, but completely different and much smaller than the one they advertise in the photos. The photos show a huge villa with a huge pool, this one was half the size advertised and not nearly as glamorous as the photos. Staff was nice, but no one spoke English and we had to take time out of our trip twice to hire a driver to drive 20 min. to run my credit card. In todays day and age, why do I have to drive somewhere else to pay with my card. In addition, it is VERY far from everything, you need to pay additional $ for someone to drive you anywhere. We were in Bali for 2 weeks and this was definitely the worst place we stayed for the most money. Beware! Photos are not of the actual villa. This is nothing against the staff, they were very nice, made great breakfasts and even returned a ring I had left in the safe.

Third time visit

This is my THIRD TIME visit Villa Ida and as always it was great. Villa was very neat and tidy and well managed. Staff was always nice and friendly and especially Ibu helped us a lot. Breakfast cooked by her and always good. Room was clean and well prepared, plenty of hot water and free WIFI. Villa Ida has access to the beach and you can snorkel there. You can see many fish boat near the villa. Always great experience with Villa Ida, definitely will coming back again.

Our best guesthouse in Bali

Wayan and Wayan offer a piece of heaven a few minutes from the Japanese shipwreck. Wonderful rooms, amazing pool and garden, fantastic homemade food prepared by (Lady) Wayan, beautiful view : probably our best hotel in Bali ! We wish we'd stayed longer !

Be aware that it remains far from Amed village : you'll need a driver or scooters, that the hosts can easily provide.

Большое спасибо за чудесный отдых!

Мы провели на вилле 5 дней семьей с двумя детьми: купались в океане (маленький песчаный пляж - в 2 минутах от виллы пешком, если чуть отъехать на байке - красивые места для снорклинга с рыбками и черепашками), проехали вдоль побережья на лодке, с местным водителем выезжали в Tirta Ganga Water Palace, индуистские храмы и просто очень красивые места в горах, съездили в очень приятный beach club Bali Sunset Point (20 минут от виллы), обедали в ресторанчике Smiling Buddha (полный релакс, очень радушный прием и традиционная балийская кухня! 1 минута от виллы). Покупали утром макрель у рыбаков и готовили на вилле. Вилла очень удобная и чистая. В этих местах есть все для отличного отдыха! И фантастические рассветы прямо из сада виллы! Большое спасибо всем, кто встречал нас и помогал в нашем путешествии!!

Было бы здорово, если бы местные власти доделали дорогу до деревни! Пока она в грустном состоянии.

Mooie villa om tot rust te komen

De ligging is prachtig. De villa ligt wat verder van “Downtown” Amed en is te bereiken via een niet al te beste weg. Maar de plek is prachtig. Uitzicht op zee, donker genoeg om sterren te kijken. ‘‘s ochtends naar de terugkerende vissersvloot kijken en een fijn zwembad. De staf is vriendelijk en kookt uitstekend.

Toen we aankwamen was er niemand. Dan is het leeg en ongemakkelijk. Daarna was het prima en wilden we ook eigenlijk niet weg :-)

Magnifique cadre - Logement déconseillé aux familles avec enfants.

- La vue sur mer et l’extérieur très agréable. - Les fonds marins devant la villa sont magnifiques (jardin de corail à 20m du bord). - La propreté des lieux. - Les espaces spacieux.

- La localisation très excentrée + le prix des taxis les plus élevés de l’île. - Le logement n’est pas adapté aux familles. Il est en divisé en 2 bâtiments indépendants. - Prévoir de quoi atténuer le bruits des moteurs de bateaux tôt le matin. La baie vitrée n’est pas très bien insonorisée et la villa est située sur une plage de pêcheurs.

Spacieuse villa au calme

Superbe villa avec cuisine extérieure, donnant sur une belle piscine, vue mer avec tous les jukungs. Lits très confortables, chambres et salle de bain spacieuses avec eau chaude. Petit déjeuner au choix amené a l'heure voulue. Endroit calme. Nécessité d'avoir des scooters ou prendre un taxi pour aller au centre d'Amed.Attention la plage devant ne se prête pas a la baignade.

Super villa in Amed met geweldig personeel en eten.

Dit is de ultieme villa om met vrienden of familie te verblijven in Amed. Het uitzicht is schitterend, de tuin is prachtig en goed onderhouden. De kamers zijn mooi, schoon en ruim. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en maakt het lekkerste eten in de keuken, waar je zelf ook zou kunnen koken. Wij hebben ons laten verwennen! De grootste kamer heeft alleen een te kleine airco voor de ruimte dus voor ons te warm om comfortabel te slapen. Mocht je hier goed tegen kunnen dan is alles top.

Airco in grootste kamer is niet toereikend en dus erg warm in de nacht.

Très belle location, dommage pour l’intendance

Très belle maison bien agencée, emplacement calme au bord de l’océan, très belle vue de lever du soleil. Le personnel pour les petits déjeuners était très agréable et aidant.

L’intendant qui nous a accueilli sentait for l’alcool et la piscine n’avait pas été entretenue nous n’avons donc pas pu utiliser la piscine du séjour. L’intendant est constamment dans la maison (salon, jardin), cela manque un peu de « confidentialité”.

Fantastisch verblijf vlakbij Amed.

Zeer verzorgde kamers en badkamers. Heel ruim. Met een groot hoog kingsize bed met uitzicht op zee vanuit 1 kamer. Mooi terras met keukentje. De airco werkt feilloos en stil. Het zwembad is heerlijk. Het zicht van aan het zwembad op de zee en het strand, waar ook de boten liggen is fenomenaal. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en houdt alles piekfijn in orde. Echt een schitterend verblijf. Topadres!

De kustweg die naar het verblijf gaat vanuit Amed is niet altijd goed berijdbaar maar zeer charmant.

Heerlijk uitrusten en bijkomen in luxe van de drukte in de meer toeristische gebieden.

Je wordt uitstekend verzorgd door de hosts. Op verzoek is zelfs een speciaal lokaal gerecht voor ons bereid (dat niet op de kaart stond).

Hou er rekening mee dat de locatie vrij ver van de bewoonde wereld is.
