Fantastic place to stay and yummy local food!

Meditasi is on the far Southern side of Amed area. As a result it's nice and quiet. Also quite traditional and a bit more village feel than the bustling tourist end of town. The seaview room was great. We enjoyed relaxing on the verandah watching the sea, and the fishermen bring back their catch. We even saw dolphins sitting on the verandah. The staff were friendly and helpful. Also accommodating as we sometimes had early starts for diving and they'd arrange for early breakfast for us. The best was the food. Amazing local recipes fresh to order. Hands down the best food we had all holiday. Unique dishes I didn't see on any other menu and packed with flavour! We'd happily go back and stay again! Was a wonderful experience.

It is a rocky beach rather than a sandy beach. While not great for going for walks on the beach you can snorkel straight in front of the restaurant and you can walk/scooter to other sandy beaches. Also because of being on the quiet end, it's limited in what shops/Warungs are walking distance. But they do hire scooters at a very reasonable price so you can still easily get around. Also, we were there in the wet season. Not an issue if you know to expect it. But the lovely semi open bathroom does get rain so just make sure you keep things in the main room that you need to keep dry.

Calm, relaxing stay with authentic location with superfriendly and helpful Balinese family. Food supertasty, snorkelling great (at least two turtles per day). Family keep facilities very clean, Wifi worked very well. Greatly arranged pickup from earlier place. Can hartly recomment this place: do not expect noise, party, beach sellers, white sand, but the feeling of "true" Bali, away from western and central Amed.

A peaceful, welcoming stay in a beautiful waterfront setting.

It’s a very peaceful, waterfront location with beautiful views and amazing snorkelling right outside — crystal clear water, colourful fish, coral, reef sharks and turtles. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the food was delicious and clearly made with care. It’s about 15 minutes by scooter to town, with great restaurants much closer, and everything you need on site.

Every year I coming to this place and enjoy amazing environment ! Sounds of nature , waves , tasty food . Totally rejuvenation and relax! My room was great and very big size , pool was cooling . Only 1 thing you want always stay here more longer !

Peaceful, beautiful location, amazing food and service

The location on the beach, the food was the best I’ve had in Bali. The service was amazing and Wayan was very helpful in organising taxis, massages etc. It was very peaceful and the sunrise views were beautiful.

Fab room with amazing sea and mountain views. AC great, loads of space.fab outdoor shower in a quiet location with no construction near by.. loved being Able to order lunch and eat it on our own large terrace with a fab view that is in shade most of the day.

Location is a bit isolated u need transportation to go anywhere, we ate lunch and dinner here but found the food a little bland, lots of choice so maybe we just picked the wrong items.

Peaceful fishing village with great views and wonderful people

Beautiful up stairs room, great outdoor bathroom, views each way to both beach and hills. Great for watching fishing boats. Super comfy bed in very spacious room. In room massage and restaurant on site. Quiet fishing village has very local flavour. We had a few days in the peaceful village here and a few days in busier Amed township, a perfect balance

Quiet oasis for great relaxing time in gorgeous room

We had a fabulous stay here, away from town so lovely quiet and chill but other restaurants walkable. Fabulous spot to watch sunrise and fishing boats coming and going, onsite massage, beautiful setting. Upstairs room fabulous! Good ac, lovely pool, wonderful local people always so friendly and helpful.

Beautiful views, peaceful, relaxing in lovely spacious room

Beautiful beachside sea views plus mountain views. Watching the sunrise and the fishing boats from our deck in the mornings was quite a spectacle. Upstairs so nice cool breezes, peaceful, very spacious room, daybed in shade on deck as well was lovely spot to chill. Pool with some shade is a plus. Great restaurant with lots of choices, delicious pina colada! Massage on site. Lovely large bathroom, comfy bed with nice linen. Very clean, good aircon. Stoney out front but just few minutes walk along beachfront to sandy beach for swimming. Lovely food at restaurant next door too.

Only cash no card payment. We arrived in evening and they gave us free transport to ATM next day so no problem.

Great hideaway

Meditasi is a beautiful little hideaway. It is located in Aas along the coast in the Amed area. Most tourists don’t venture this far. This also means that there aren’t many facilities. But there is a rocky beach with beautiful snorkelling. Every morning the fishing boats come in what is a great sight. The hosts are very friendly and always willing to help out. The food is amazing! The room (we had the cabin without sea view but still with a breeze) is fairly basic but private, comfortable and clean. There is a daybed on the veranda which was really nice. In short, I loved the place.

Be aware that cash payment is expected and the neared ATM in Amed (about 7 kilometers). I was offered a ride on a scooter 🛵 which worked fine. There are ‘better’ beaches closer to Amed, but also more tourists. Having your own transport may give you the best of both worlds.

Room and service far exceeded our expectation. Haven to return to at the end of the day. Just wish we stayed longer to spend a few days just relaxing at Meditasi. Highly recommend

Beautiful beachfront property at a unbeatable price

Great property on the beach. Wonderful family and helpful staff. Amazing view and snorkeling right off the beach by the property.

No AC, but with the sea breeze it wasn’t too hot. It’s a little far from Amed town area, and the roads are very bad right now with construction, so it took 25-30min to get to a restaurant or other activities.

Stay for meditation

We stayed here in July 2025. Wi-Fi was free. The place seems more suitable for meditation or relaxation. The rooms were clean, with water, coffee, and tea provided. The outdoor bed was a pleasant touch. In the evening, it gets dark early, and the lighting in the room is quite dim. We had breakfast included and also purchased dinner. The accommodation does not accept credit cards. Site staff were friendly and trying to help. At night, it was very quiet—only the geckos could be heard. It’s important to use mosquito repellent spray. Beds were comfortable.

This location is not really ideal for staying with children if you're planning to spend time on the beach. The pool was great—we hardly left it. It’s also a good base for trips around the area. There is definitely no beach in front of the hotel suitable for children, and you won’t be lying on the sand here. The area is filled with fishing boats and trash left by fishermen. The boats are parked on lava rocks.

Tranquil and comfortable beachfront escape

We had a lovely stay at the bungalows right on the beach—falling asleep to the sound of the sea, feeling the breeze, watching sunrises and sunsets was pure joy. The pool was beautiful, the place was spotless with no bugs at all, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We really appreciated the privacy and the cozy on-site restaurant, which offered some unique dishes we hadn’t seen before. Madi was warm, friendly, and very helpful. Such a peaceful, relaxing place—we truly enjoyed every moment.

While the location is right on the beach, it’s a working beach with lots of fishing boats, some litter, and no safe swimming area. That said, the peaceful vibe and comfort of the bungalows more than made up for it. A great place to unwind!

Traditional Balinese Peace & Quiet 🤫

Its location.. it’s in a little fishing village about 25 mins away from main Amed. It’s so peaceful. Right on the beach.. yes there’s rocks there but they are smooth and great snorkeling! This is a traditional style Balinese bungalow, with fan 2 beds, massive outdoor bathroom. Staff were beautiful 🤩 I loved the food. Great place to chill out and read a couple of books! I’ll be back!!

Amazing

Everything was perfect. Starting by the staff particularly Madi which was a great help for everything ( renting snorkeling gear, activities, scooter etc) everyone was so nice and helpful. The amazing view from the bedroom, the food at the restaurant and the breakfast was really nice. All of that made my stay unforgettable. 20/10 ! Suksma to all the team, take care 🙏🏼

Relaxed to the max in a beautiful location

Perfect place to relax!! The sunrise from my terrace was incredible, plus there is a bed to relax on outside. The snorkelling is also incredible, right in front of the property you can see amazing coral gardens, lots of different fish and turtles. The food in the restaurant is excellent with a great range to choose from. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful. Ask before if you want yoga / meditation as it might not be on. Thank you for a very restful stay!

Amazing experience! cant wait to come back

I absolutely loved my stay in Meditasi bungalow! it exceed my expectations! The bungalow was facing the sea and had a nice terrace to see the ocean and enjoy the breeze. I slept like a baby with the sound of the waves! It is perfect for relaxation and connect with the local culture. Bed was very comfortable, and two fans were provided. There was a table to work and a bed in the terrace to relax and read. It had an open shower with good pressure that was great to connect with nature. Staff were super attentive to come and clean the room often. The staff was INCREDIBLE! super kind, fun and attentive. Food was good, with a diverse number of options to choose. Made, the two Wayans, Ketut Ari Asri and the two other sweet girls; you made one of the best memories i had in Bali. Thank you so much!!

A moto is needed to go to the centre of the town, but honestly i think the grace of the place is actually being away from the noise and tourists so i would not change that. The staff was amazing with finding transport for me when needed. Many restaurants and Lipah beach were about 10minutes in moto so all great! I recommend the Sunset point place, totally worth it!

Best place in Bali

This is a hidden gem in Bali! The staff (Madi, Wayan and the ladies) were amazing and always smiling. I stayed 3 nights in the King Suite room with my parents and we just loved this place and it was hard to say goodbye. The place was super clean and the food was just heavenly. Next time we will definitely come back to this place. You can feel the real Balinese warmth here.

Nestled in the heart of Bali, Meditasi Bungalows and Villas exceeded all expectations for a perfect tropical getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, owner proposed for us a transfer from airport to hotel, which was really helpful. Our room was nothing short of spectacular, offering breathtaking views of sea. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after adventurous days exploring the island. We were sleeping with a sounds of sea. Wild black sand beach near by hotel was almost private) no tourists at all during our stay on it. The hotel's restaurants served dishes that celebrated local flavors, we were enjoying breakfast overlooking the sea view. What truly set Meditasi apart was its exceptional staff. Owner personally went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, offering personalized recommendations for activities and excursions around Bali. His genuine warmth and professionalism made us feel welcome and valued throughout our entire stay. We really enjoyed our stay at Meditasi, the staff were wonderful and the food delicious.

The room was excellent and very comfortable for a family of 4. Beautiful views of the garden and ocean.

The location was slightly far away from some of the more sandy beaches which the children liked but if I had done my research better I would have been more aware of this. However if offered a very peaceful setting away from crowds and was a great place to slow down.

I booked room on second floor with a views. That was clear pictures that i booking second floor. But they gave me 1st floor coz 2nd fully booked. WiFi signal was so weak i could not use it at all , plus there no cell phone signal.

quiet and tucked away.

If you are wanting to get away from all the busyness and rushing of Amed, this is the place to go. It is far from the action, which I enjoyed, but unfortunately by daughter didn't. It was too quiet for her. Great comfortable beds. We stayed in the bamboo family rm with sea view, which had an amazing outlook, 2 big beds and a bed on the deck which was fantastic. Stunning outdoor bathroom. You definitely need to hire a scooter if you don't want to just hang out there all day. Fishing boats go out around 3-4am and return under full sail after sunrise. We could use the yoga room which was a bonus. It was very quiet. Staff were really lovely and friendly. They go out of their way to help.

I had stayed here before and loved it. This time it was super quiet. Not quite what we needed for this trip. The meals were less impressive this time. We definitely needed a scooter to be able to do more. We chose to cut our week short a couple of days to try alternatives. With more people staying, it would change the atmosphere completely. Possibly the price for the superior room might be putting people off. I missed the cooks from my last visit. I wish them well. The beach is a little tricky when the waves are up.

Exceptional

Super quiet location, right on the beach, authentic local cuisine and friendly staff. When I wasn't happy with my initial room (the only one without an ocean view), was able to be heard and find a compromise with Wayan, and eventually moved to a beach front one that i loved. He even added some complimentary snorkel gear and medicinal teas as a show of goodwill.

My initial room was a little sad, view facing a concrete wall instead of the ocean. All the others are great though.

Relaxing spot on Amed Beach

The room was a very good size and had a balcony with a private garden overlooking the sea which was very relaxing. We slept with the balcony door opened most nights which was amazing.

This is not about the property itself. Just a note that the beach isnt the white sandy beaches we usually associate with Bali.

Wonderful setting to soak up Amed vibe

Our room and balcony was very large and upstairs for a terrific view. We absolutely loved seeing the fisherman go out and come back in their boats even if they woke us up at 4am.

Restaurant for dinner was disappointing. Ordered Mahi Mahi cooked on the grill. It was a tiny portion and fried. However, had delicious banana pancake for breakfast with coconut.
