Everything about this hotel was exceptional — there was nothing to complain about. The staff was outstanding: friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The overall experience exceeded all expectations, and I couldn’t have asked for more. I would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect stay.

Stayed for 8 nights in a deluxe villa - everything was great. Few things were or broke down during our stay, but all were handled immediately. Food was good, the list being pretty long - they had a daily recommendation, so we followed that. Staff was super helpful and helped us find things to do. Got transported from and to airport by them and the driver managed to get us safely through the somewhat chaotic traffic. Would definitely recommend and will come back.

Looks great on the surface but the reality is different. We had a one bed villa. Lovely spacious area with private pool. However once settled in these things became apparent: 1. Air conditioning didn’t work properly. It was stuck on one temperature. 2. There were loads of bugs in the bed. LOADS. Like the room hadn’t been freshened up in weeks 3. WiFi didn’t work and had to be reset. Clearly not checked in time for our arrival 4. Biggest issue - THIS HOTEL DO NOT SELL BOTTLED WATER. how is that even possible?! None provided in room. We had to source our own. None served at breakfast or dinner. 5. When we mentioned these things at checkout the receptionist didn’t apologise. Not even bothered. Everything seems cheap. Like the security guard/ gardener showed us to our room. Do not stay here.

We had the most incredible stay at the Griya Villas! It is truly one of the most beautiful and luxurious properties I have ever stayed at. The views and grounds are absolutely breathtaking. The staff consistent go above and beyond, they are so on top of all of your needs! The food is delicious, I could go on and on!

Used to be 5 star but is in need of serious maintenance… fix , repair, paint and please change those worn out lounge chair covers by the pool. Stayed there many time prior Covid. Will not return until serious refurb takes place.

If youre into quiet serene views, lots of space and being surrounded by nature, far from the hustle and bustle of city life, then Griya is the place for you. We really enjoyed our stay abd the staff were super helpful and friendly. It was during caterpillar season though and part of the "nature" bit included the upsides and downsides...in this case, loads of caterpillars crawling everywhere- you get used to it after a while and they're quick to send someone round to clean up. If you are travelling there/back late at night, the service support might be minimal outside working hours.

We loved our stay at the Griya Villas and spas. We had one of the deluxe villas with a private pool and ocean view. The view is spectacular. It's like 2 villas with a courtyard. The living room / kitchen villa is so relaxing. The common areas of the hotel are also very nice and clean. The pool is very beautiful. It was very quiet when we were there, which made the stay very enjoyable. The spa therapists are very good and the spa offer is great. Watch out if you take the yoga classes. Make sure to tell the teacher not to touch you. He adjusted my husband without asking him and caused a big contracture to his back, which really made the end of our stay not so pleasant. Make also sure to ask about the hotel complimentary shuttle to go to Amed. It runs a few times every day. Amed has basically a taxi cartel where they harrass Grab drivers if they're in the area so they can keep charging tourists 100,000 IDR (10 AUD) for a 5 minute drive. I highly recommend renting a scooter when you're there. Overall I think it's the nicest hotel to stay at when you're in Amed. Highly recommend it.

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Griya Villas. Location was superb for diving with many dive shops and dive sites just around the corner. Hotel staff did a wonderful job in accommodating all our wishes. They also went above and beyond to get our lost luggage from the airport. Food at the restaurant was tasty, nicely presented and great value for the money. We also appreciated a possibility to have breakfast at our villa, especially during the early mornings we went for a dive. Only drawback was very small flies(?) which occasionally bothered us during the night. Overall a great stay, excellent service at this interesting and less touristy part of Bali!

Best view ever right on the ocean when you wake up. Big spaces . Great service and staff . Very good food. Close to the main beaches for snorkeling. For the rest you will need a private driver or rent a scooter ( but a bit dangerous in amed ) . I highly recommend

The property location was beautiful. The lack of available facility amenities such as sauna, treadmill and bikes was disappointing for a 5 star resort. The dining facilities were well below the standard expected from a 5 star resort. The manager appeared quite arrogant and unperturbed that our Villa was not available to us until after 4pm although check in was 2pm. Additional to this on our dining experience there were a number of things from the menu that were not available on 3 separate occasions that we had breakfast.

We stayed at The Griya for our honeymoon and had an incredible experience. We were welcomed with a drinks, a bathtub full of petals, and a heart shaped cake to celebrate our honeymoon. The view from our suite was absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast was plated and served versus a buffet and it was delicious. We ate at the hotel restaurant 2 nights during our stay and really enjoyed the food there. We would especially recommend the Mount Agung dome pizza! We booked a room with a private pool and didn’t regret it at all!! The room was jaw-dropping. We felt like royalty. The service upon check in and check out was incredible, but could be slightly improved during our stay. The staff originally said they could help us book a boat transfer to Gili. When we asked the next day, they gave us a pamphlet and told us to call the number on the brochure. However, there was no cell service from our room which was at the top of a hill (there was WiFi tho!). We tried calling from the hotel phone but the phones are only able to call within the hotel. So we had to call the office again and ask them specifically to book it for us, which felt like they were a little annoyed with.

Amazing villa I’ve ever seen so quiet so beautiful view and very nice service. For relaxing and meditation. I spent the best honeymoon ever. Definitely recommend. It’s away from the airport about 3 hours. They have a transportation facilities.

we stay three nights at this Hotel in a 1 bedroom private pool villa and it was stunning!! The villa, the panoramic view, the excellent restaurant (breakfast and Dinner), kindlyness of the team! It’s close to the beach so perfect localisation if you want do snorkeling or diving!! I recommand, thank you to the team !!

The villa was amazing. Fantastic view from the private pool and the room. Food was delicious, and the staffs were very nice. The only thing is that the bedding and the towels kinda smelled, but it wasn't a big problem.

We loved our stay here - the staff were all super friendly and accommodating. The property is beautiful and the room was our favorite of the four hotels we stayed at in Bali - very spacious. All of the rooms have an amazing view of sunrise over Lombok and the ocean - it was so lovely I actually wanted to wake up early to watch it every morning!

The Griya remains the highest end resort in the amed area. If you want ease and western standards in a hotel setting then this is the place for you. The villas are lovely and although tightly packed in, they are very private and sweet. The property is quite steep so this is not a good place for those not comfortable with lots of stairs. Leaving the griya, an easy walk to the right leads to local warnings (cheap restaurants) and very low-key beach bars. There is little super market for supplies down this way as well and a couple fun little shops. Great beach and snorkeling access from this side. Leaving the griya to the left, you’ll likely want a driver, but there are also fun warnings and bars. Enjoy!

Beautiful room and balcony/pool area. We were kindly upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa with the second bedroom locked. Some small criticisms - bedroom had an odour, i think from the roof but it smelt damp. Bedsheets also smelt damp when changed and were a little stained (blood stains/general marks) which wasnt pleasant.Food in the restaurant was average - on the first day we tried to take them up on their pizza meal offer and after ordering, was told the oven was broken. They wouldnt honour the deal with another main we wanted to order despite it actually being a cheaper dish. This was a bit disappointing. Breakfast to the villa was good.
