Amazing! I had a bungalow at front by the beach. Was hard to leave the day bed.
Only requirement was to have a scooter to get around but still walking distance to restaurants and yoga

+ great location, beachfront
+ friendly staff
- old, dark, decrepit place (20+ years of exposing wood to the elements will do that)
- the site photos and the 4* are not reflecting reality
- terrible musty smell that was impossible to get past
- everything was humid and sticky in the room: floor, furniture, pillows, linen, etc
- heard the scooters in the street through earplugs(!)
- left after the first night and asked kindly for 1 out of the 3 nights to be reimbursed, at least - I was told it’s impossible, and offered a similar room, better positioned😁

We had a great time here, the house is lovely and the location is perfect! Also the stuff super friendly, whenever we needed a ride they were there to help. Great pool at the site and lovely restaurant.
The choices of breakfast was great but the food was mediocre

Some years ago the hotel was certainly phantastic. Unfortunately since Corona it seems they stopped with maintanance. Location is still phantastic, walk out the hotel, 5 meters into the sea and you are at the coral reed… awesome to snorkel there. We even saw dolphines out at sea and while snorkeling a sea turtle, also so many different fish!
Info in hotel said you can rent bikes „no, since corona bikes are broken and no repair“. The wood of the fence of the balcony was totally rotten, stairs made of wood repaired very poorly. Hotel understuffed but people there give their best and are super friendly.

We loved relaxing on the front porch, watching the sunsets and listening to the waves. The pool was perfect, the grounds were beautiful and the staff was very friendly!
You do need a car to get to most places but the hotelier connected us with a fantastic driver on our first day who we used for the remainder of our stay so it all worked out great.

The property is located right on the beach and offers perfect views of the ocean. The grounds are nice and well kept, the pool is clean and attractive, although smaller than the pictures let on. The beach in front of the property is rather rocky but, Jemeluk bay is very close by and offers a sandy beach and is great for snorkeling.
The bungalow is spacious, has an outdoor bathroom (just partially covered) and a nice terrace. You can hear the waves all night long.
The bungalows are a bit dated and especially the bathrooms need renovation, as the exposed walls are mouldy. Breakfast is not great: small portions and very little to choose from.

It’s in a good location next to the beach
Staff very friendly
Pool very clean
Rooms cleaned to a high standard each day
The Property is looking a bit tired there were some maintenance refreshments happening which is good to see
The restaurant decor was a tired and dirty
Breakfast menu and coffee served for the price charged for the room could be improved
Price felt a little bit high for overall experience

Location is awesome, right on the beach and you can snorkel right out into amazing reef and fish! The pool is beautiful and restaurant quite nice
The was a bad smell near our room, maybe a leak but nothing major

Room and Pool Area were good, staff very friendly and helpful and close enough to some good bars and restaurants, and snorkeling/diving areas.
Yoga and Gym weren't on site and transport was very limited.
No Kettle so we could make our own tea and coffee. Not even cups.
The restaurant menu was very basic and it felt like the resort was being run on a shoestring.

Nice location by the sea
Overrated when you look at the value for money. Small and dark room, dirty swimming pool.

Localisation is ok, close to diving centres and Amed centre in general, nice restaurants near. Scooter easy to rent, breakfast was good especially dragon bowl and juices :)
I didn’t like the room, it’s very dark and you can’t open front widows- they have no glass or mosquito net, just a hole in a wall. It wasn’t cleaned properly especially bathroom. I had spider webs in every corner, shower drain was full and never cleaned, as well as shower tiles. Can’t say it was clean room. At our first enter there was a lot od mosquitos in room, it took us a while to kill them all. It’s a wooden hut with a lot od holes, especially bathroom is open so mosquitos have easy way in. I wish barhroom „holes” had some mosquito net or even citronella scent somewhere to protect.

It is really next to the shoreline. You just need to grab your snorkel stuff and as you wade into the ocean you can start having fun. Corals are everywhere. There are friendly guys nearby who can take you to any spot you wish to dive or to snorkel with boat for a reasonable price.
The spa service is good the price of it is acceptable. Massage happens in three open and you can hear the waves which helps to relax.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
The garden pool is ok if you did not plan to swim.
The food is relatively good but overpriced.
The cabins are small and far from new, so they would require some renovation especially the restroom - shower combo. Based on the photos provided on Booking.com I would have expected better cabins.
The snorkeling options offered by the hotel are overpriced.
It does not deserve four stars according to my opinion. It should be ***.

Thoroughly pleasant cabin accommodation along the coast. Can snorkel straight off beach. The beach in Amed is volcanic rock so don't be expecting pristine white sand. Pool was clean. Hotel restaurant food was surprisingly good and we ordered here more than once. Breakfast was delicious. Coffe and sun rise over the sea was beautiful.
This could be said of most places in Amed due to it facing East. It just is damp over this side of the island as only the morning sun dries things out. It wasn't bad as there was aircon in the cabins.
It is a fair way from the main strip of shops, but transport can be arranged easily.

Perfect place for relaxing and swimming, beach is located 10 m from hotel gate and (in January) you could swim on your own. Not much waves and you can see corals 5-10 m from the front, bring your own snorkling equipment! You can hear the sea to the rooms, like the lively countryside life around. The hotel personnel helped in every possible way to arrange for services (trips, taxi, etc). Santai hotel offers excellent lunch&dinner options. Visited also the nearby hotel Griya for dinner (fine dining) - warm recommendation!
If you are looking for plenty of shops, restaurants or beach with services (other than diving), Amed is not the place for you. The place is very quiet, so no pedestrian with lights for an evening walk.

The place is very nice, cozy with beautiful nature and ocean views. The staff were most welcoming and friendly. The bungalow was very comfortable, everything was well thought through. There were available glass bottles and cooler to reduce plastic usage.
A lot of thoughtful and caring touches, like tea in the morning.
And the breakfast there is delicious ☺️
Thank you a lot! I really enjoyed my stay here💚

Nothing, it was worst hotel in whole Bali (we stayed in 8 hotels).
Rooms are very dark, location very bad, shower working bad, stuff arogant. Property needs repairing, please see the photos.

Great hotel well located in Amed! Super cute bungalows with outside shower. Beautiful pool right on the sea and direct access to the beach. Everything was very accessible around the hotel with our scooter.

We booked the hotel because we were taking the ferry the next day. Price performance is overall okay, but I would not book a whole vacation at the hotel.
The room was okay, not overly large and in some places could definitely be cleaned up a bit. Breakfast was good quality, but it took us a little longer to get it, although we were one of the first at breakfast. The beds were okay, but the night was very noisy (there were numerous dogs howling), so sleeping was only possible to a certain extent.

Overall pleasant hotel. Good breakfast.
In need of some renovations at reception and restaurant
Pebble beach
Difficult or hazardous to enjoy the sea due to numerous rocks

Location and staff were excellent.
Views from the room (Villa No 1) were fantastic.
Drinks and food were very good.
Room size was a bit small.
The room floor was really creaky - made loud noise even if one person walked, and the entire wardrobe shook.

We liked the food, privacy, cleanliness and the outdoor furniture that goes with each hut.
