Came for 3 days stayed longer. You wont find better value location and service than Coral Bay bungalows.

Everything! Exceptional staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I would come back for the people, Alone, so very friendly. Fabulous food for very little cost. Neat tidy clean bungalows great location. Gorgeous cafe across the road @ Food & Friends!!! Amazing food and coffee. Pool is spotlessly cleaned each day. Fantastic place to holiday, value for money stay.

Nothing!!!! Maybe a clock in the room would come in handy.

Lots of eateries nearby, must be able to walk up a steep hill to get out though, very peaceful location, large rooms with a great sitting area out the front. Can snorkel from out front although the best snorkeling is around the corner in Jemeluk bay.

Breakfast may have been a bit limited but ok for taste, the pool was the same deep depth throughout at about 1.6 meters, pool was overchlorinated when we were there but they had just had a lot of rain, bathrooms were very dated and low water pressure but were clean.

Ideal for when your intention is to do as little as possible or nothing at all, as was mine.

The pool and surrounds were conducive for relaxing, swimming and cooling off. An advantage is the size of the property which meant I didn't need to go far for refreshments or a snack poolside. My room had a glorious view of the sea which meant I could sit on the balcony and just chill. Early mornings were best. It was very quiet, so much so that I could hear the waves lapping the shore, an experience I always savor. My room was as cool as I needed it to be for relief from the heat and to fall asleep easily. The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly and fun.

The stone-covered beach was a bit daunting, and I didn't venture to bathe in the sea. However, this was not a real issue as I loved the pool. The glorious view from my room meant there were lots of steps to climb up. But it was worth the effort.

THE LOCATION WAS AT BEACH FRONT.. It was relaxed laid back experience for one night ..

The location right on the beach was amazing. We loved our bungalow the serenity was just perfect. Pool was beautiful right on the waterfront. Super friendly staff and the food and breakfast at the restaurant was amazing. Walked to many other cafes and restaurants. The prices was excellent, overall our best place to stay during our travels in Bali.

The walkway down to the property from the road was quite rough to walk and the first impression from the walkway is not great but once inside the garden and view is lovely.

Great hotel in Amed

We stayed in the Suite with Garden View. The room was very new and you can see this in the interior and cleanliness of the hotel. Pool was not very big but it was a nice size for my kids (7 yo and 3 yo). The property is right at the beach so you can walk directly to the beach to enjoy the sunrise.

The beach was nice but I think for snorkeling Jemeluk Bay was the best spot especially for young kids.

Beach frontage is good for sunrise. Short walk to popular Sunset viewing spot. Bungalows cute, private but dated in garden setting. Loved the sound of the waves at night.

Steep, cobbled descent from road. Lots of steps to and from some rooms. Older part of property could have a bit more maintenance. Things looking a bit tired.

Incredible hideaway after Ubud, full of traffic. Amazingly beatiful (outside) villas, garden, swimming pool with view of the ocean (and a pebble beach). Idyllic place to relax. The most beautiful place we stayed in Indonesia. Hotel is a little bit far from the Amed centre (and you have to cross the hill), but for this reaqson is in tranquil place with empty piece of beach.

Very difficult and dangerous driveway from main road to the hotel. Hotel breakfast has no indonesian options, only continental or american.

Positives and negatives

The staff were exceptional, friendly, and very helpful. They bent over backwards to cater for our needs. Organised a great driver to take us to Dempasar.

The bathroom was terrible. The toilet lid was broken off, it was dirty and smelt. The 2 PowerPoint's were hanging out of the wall with exposed wires...so dangerous. There was no safe in the room.

The basic bungalows were a little old but the beds were comfortable. The slope and the tall steps were tricky to manage at times and would not be suitable for older people but we managed.

Beautiful hidden gem in Amed.

Great layout right on the water. Grounds are well kept with nice restaurant on site. Pool by ocean side and swimming off beach in ocean. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Other restaurants near by in walking distance. Also near a dive shops for scuba or snorkeling.

The drive way is murderous on a scooter. Needs driveway redone, took a bad fall on scooter.

We were given a room on the first floor. Has beautiful sunrise view. Able to relax on our bed watch activity in the ocean. We loved the comfort bed with mosquito net.

Too many steps to climb - it was a challenge for old couple like us - 67 & 79 , with some health problems.

The property is super clean, the pool is clean, the ocean right in front. I loved the gentle sound of the ocean day and night. The staff is amazing. They treated me like family. The food was delicious and portioned very well. Thank you to the manager made who was super kind

For three days could not get proper WiFi at my room...on he third day found out that the staff had put me on the wrong WiFi system! In three days the room was never cleaned..rubbish bins not emptied...Tea nd coffee not replenished...

pool was great, position in bali was very quiet great for family with small children and anyone that just wants to chillout, staff where so good even though english was a stuggle some times, rooms are basic but very clean, we where lucky enough to have a resident gecko that keeped us amused

Good accomodation in scenic location with some flaws

Idyllic location right on the beach. The sight and sound of the waves as a constant background. Beautiful garden and pool (not very big but enough for refreshment or a short swim). Relaxed vibe. Complementary breakfast was good, with the Bali-typical peculiarities (you never really know what you get - not sure what the hot chocolate is made of, but it‘s not milk; we either got butter or jam to the toast, never both). Staff is friendly, but a bit helpless. Not much English spoken. 2br-bungalow has beautifully carved doors, working AC and mosquito nets, but is otherwise very basic and functional; always something broken. Cleanliness was fine. Our room was cleaned regularly or upon request. Free water was sometimes provided, with no apparent system (just ask).

Not recommended if you hace impaired mobility or very small kids (buggy/stroller) - lots of stairs, some in bad shape. Amed region is great for swimming and snorkelling. However, the beach in front of the hotel is not suitable for either - the rocks of the reef are just below the surface (at high tide above) and are a danger for injuries, plus the beach itself is very rocky. Virtually impossible to get to the reef drop off. Better beach at Jemeluk nearby, but separated by a cliff. You can walk to some places (Sunset point, Jemeluk, even Amed or Bunutan, good restaurants are close by) but you have to climb a steep slope each time and walk along a busy road with no sidewalk (no fun at night). Recommended to have your own wheels. Communication with the staff can be challenging. The services they hooked us up with were way overpriced (especially the ‚taxi‘/private friend who charged 250k=15€ for a 3km ride and back!), laundry was overpriced too and they ruined my running shirt (by ironing - no comment). Other guests were a wild mix, nobody seemed to stay longer than 3 nights or so. The place has lots of potential and could be top notch if the owners cared a bit more and made a minimum investment in basic repairs and improvements and maybe a shuttle service.

Location is amazing and pool was lovely, breakfast was good and staff were lovely.

The inside of the bungalow was old and not well decorated. There was no floor mat or hand towel and no screens on the window.
