The Kampung

The gardens and buildings were gorgeous. I loved being by able to snorkel from the beach.

It was advertised that there was a bed and a sofa bed in the room our teenage children used. (They much prefer to ha be separate beds).The sofa bed was very short and unsuitable to sleep on.

What a great place to stay! We had access to three little villas in our own fenced-off compound, including a lovely area to have breakfast, a separate kitchen area, a private pool and beach access. The staff were kind and helpful and made our stay very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner they prepared for us were great, and we regretted going out to eat on the first day. Free tip: let the ladies come up with dinner, you won’t regret it. Looking back, I wish I had tried their seafood BBQ! The three villas were great: completely made of wood, with outdoor showers, which really suited the beach life in Amed. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.

The only thing missing was a hammock between the palm trees by the beach, that would have made it feel even closer to paradise. :)

The size is ideal for a big group, the location is scenic

Lack of clarity when it came to the breakfast. We were told of free breakfast, yet not informed that only the continental breakfast is free. We were quite shocked that we were charged for it, because no, it was not exceptional. Rooms also had ants that bite but staff were nice to provide baygone.

All to yourself on beach.

Beds hard and very noisy with waves crashing at night.
