I am saying 9 as it’s a great location on the beach. The pool is good with glimpses of the sea. Well maintained, pleasant bungalows with good terraces. Staff were lovely.
Wifi was really unpredictable and we had to use our own data. While the staff are lovely, the predominantly French families guests did not interact much. This contributed to the place feeling a little soulless compared to other places on our one month coastal trip of Bali. Maybe management could add music to the restaurant, ‘Happy Hour’ or could create some occasional evening activity or reinstate yoga.. something to bring guests together and creates some ambiance. Definitely get rid of the large ‘Keep your Distance’ sign on the reception desk.

Big clean rooms, new linen, lovely pool and gardens, and the snorkelling from the shore out front of the hotel is amazing! We also saw turtles hatching and helped them to the water :). It was lovely having dinner on the restaurant's grassed area next to the beach, enjoying great food... and beautiful view.
Only minor, we would have like bottles of water daily.

We had a wonderful day at Hidden cottages. We extended our stay several times. The food was absolutely delicious. The pool was beautiful with nice bits of shade for the kids to play. And we were very lucky that some turtles were born right in front of the hotel one day so we got to watch them heading down to the sea. Wonderful snorkeling as well! Safe for kids.

The location is amazing. Right on the beach but away from the main road so noise is minimal.
The linen and towels were a bit stained but they were clean. The staff were lovely but the massage lady ruined the trip for us. She would wait for us to come out our room to ask if we wanted massages then mutter under her breath when we said no. She would also harass us and other guests so much so that one of the guests shouted “NO” at her. She still continued to harass, even waking me asking again for what must have been the 7th time on a 3 day stay. She should have just had a sign up and let people go to her. For this reason and this reason only, I wouldn’t stay there again. She made the trip uncomfortable.
