Beautiful Ascona

Simply the most beautifully located hotel in the Swiss Italian lakes. Fabulous outside space and a great offering from SUP's to Yoga. Restaurant and bar staff are exceptional, the breakfast more than generous. A luxury treat for sure.

Interior decoration in some areas is doubtful and if you can only afford the cheaper rooms (like us), it's a bit spartan and you have to be prepared to look at a car park.

Five star location/place and service with two star design and esthetics (despite them being expensive).

Nice location/place by the water with great/perfect service/service personnel (in number and friendliness/helpfulness).

A truly horrible outside/interior design. Somebody put a lot of effort into picking very expensive but totally outdated designs/furniture/decoration in the public spaces as well as in the guest rooms. The colors used and mixed are a crime to people with an appreciation of esthetics. The curtains in the rooms top everything in bad taste, even worse that people from outside can actually see these curtains. I have been in a number of Leading 5-Star Hotels but this was special.

I had a great and relaxing stay. Staff was wonderful

Location, breakfast and staff were amazing. It is Switzerland so value for money is just not in line with other countries, but nothing much the hotel can do about that.

Everything was in excellent shape, but the building / design is starting to feel a little bit dated. Beds are too short for me, but then again I am very tall. Rooms are a bit on the small side.

Really great hotel for summer and staying outside. Excellent location and close to the village. Nice and spacious rooms.

Everything you would expect for a super relaxed stay, even for a few days!

Breakfast buffet very good and a lot of warm dishes to order! Service very friendly, in the restaurants, the pool, the concierge, the ladies from housekeeping. We asked for a firmer pillow and two pillows were delivered to choose from!

Not much! The only thing we missed was some extra info in the room about bikes and other facilities. Like what is available and what are the extra costs.

Breakfast was very good. Free use of motor boat for 2 hours was great The Michelin star restaurant was excellent

Room size and bathroom size could be bigger Hotel guests should have the possibility to sit and have a drink in the Marina restaurant when the Jazz band is playing there especially if guests are booked for dinner later at another of their restaurants
