Great hotel, friendly staff - would stay here again!

I really appreciated how clean the room was. The bed was comfortable, and the shower head facilitated a wonderful shower experience. But I most thrilled by the fact that the breakfast buffet and restaurant offered gluten-free options - sometimes those are exceedingly hard to find.

I was at first a little disappointed at the small size of the room, given that the images of the room I thought I booked were of a much larger room. But it ended up being ok because the view made up for it all.

Location, comfort and a beautiful view.

My room had windows on 2 sides overlooking the lake and the promenade. It had a small balcony with a table and 2 small chairs overlooking the lake and the mountains. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. It was on the first floor directly above a restaurant terrace at the 'busy' end of the promenade very close to the charming small streets of Ascona. I enjoyed hearing the hustle and bustle outside during the evening and it was quiet at night. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful and there was a choice of juices/bread/croissant/meat/cheese and eggs for breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

a delightful stay

perfectly located very close to ferry wharf. very quiet as pedestrians only on waterfront in front of hotel. breakfast delicious. very comfortable bed. lovely dinner. staff smiling, friendly & helpful. stayed here because of a recommendation from a friend in Australia. they were 100% correct. highly recommend

Delightful.

Location and setting are exceptional, wonderful views and local facilities. The staff are helpful and unobtrusive. Very nice breakfast on the piazza is a treat. Rooms are clean and modern.

A happy and inviting place to spend a week's holiday.

The breakfast had everything one would require/want and plenty of it. The staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful. We've stayed there before and enjoyed it so much that we had no hesitation in returning after a circa 10 year absence.

The bathroom was small though complete. Nothing that could be changed.
