Exceptional stay in the heart of Ascona

I loved the combination of the old building and modern facilities. I felt like home. The location is unbeatable. Was also very clean.

Despite the additional heaters it was quite chilly. On the other hand, I personally prefer higher temperatures insides during winter.

Lovely situation, clean, comfortable and affordable

Excellent situation right in the heart of the old town. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Communication with the manager was very easy and very fast response.

Guests should be aware that this is not really a “B&B” in the usual sense of the term - no staff is on site, there is no breakfast on site (reduced rate at local hotel was very nice), nor is the room cleaned/beds made during your stay. In the room we stayed in there was not even a coffee maker or kettle. (Apparently other rooms have more facilities eg kitchenettes so this comment is not valid for all the rooms at this property). None of this is a complaint as such and were not negatives for us - the “complaint” (not really - more advice for other travellers) is that the room and property description did not make this very clear. If you are used to staying at “regular B&B’s” do take note this is different.

We enjoyed our stay and would book again / recommend it to friends and family.

We really liked the Location of the B&B, as well as the interior decor. The rooms are tasteful and modern, mixed with the historic elements of the old town building. The Staff were very helpful, wether it was over text or in person (when we had trouble finding the right entrance to our room). The B&B is perfectly situated in the town centre and it has a beautiful courtyard. It is also very close to the public parking area, in case one is arriving by car.

We were a little surprised in regards to the breakfast, because upon arrival, we were informed that the breakfast was actually not included in the price for the B&B. We found this a bit odd, since we paid for a “Bed and Breakfast” and thought the prepaid price would include both parts. But it wasn’t that big of an annoyance, since we got to have breakfast at a local Hotel at the Riva and we also got a discount for both days that we stayed. It was just a bit confusing (but it could also be that we didn’t catch that information while booking). Since the townhouse is historic and made of stone and wood, it can get a little cold during the nights if you visit during wintermonths (although there are two heating pannels which can be operated by guests). But i’m sure the staff would have provided us with an extra blanket if we would have asked. It might just be personal preference.

schöne kleine Wohnung mit Nähe zur Seepromenade. Nichts für geräuschempfindliche Menschen.

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Man ist in etwa 2 Gehminuten an der Seepromenade und auch das Parking ist nur etwa 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Der Innenhof ist süss und das B&B ist schön eingerichtet. Die Steinwand im Schlafzimmer ist mega! Wir konnten unseren Hund mitnehmen, das ist für uns einfach immer ein riesen Pluspunkt. Wir mussten anders als an anderen Orten nicht einmal für den Hund extra bezahlen. Die Betreiber sind per WhatsApp erreichbar, das ist auch immer praktisch.

Es ist extrem Ringhörig. Wir waren außerhalb der Saison da und als Menschen im Innenhof waren konnten wir jedes Wort mithören, ich will nicht wissen, wie laut es im Sommer sein muss, wenn der Innenhof voller Leute ist. Das wäre gut würde man es vorher erwähnen. Auch die Kirchenglocken hört man extrem gut, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Die Treppe rauf zum Schlafzimmer ist extrem rutschig,dass wir mit Socken ein paarmal ausgerutscht sind aber uns gottseidank noch am Treppengeländer festhalten konnten. Ich Würde unbedingt irgendetwas an den Stufen anbringen um die Ausrutschgefahr zu minimieren. Es wurde leider nirgends erklärt, wo wir den Kehricht entsorgen können. Wir haben auch im Innenhof nach einer Tonne oder ähnlich gesucht, aber nur eine Komposttonne gefunden. Somit stand der volle Kehrichtsack dann halt einfach zugebunden im Raum rum. Für leute die mehr als 1 Woche da verbringen wirds dann irgendwann bisschen schwierig mit dem Kehricht, da würde ich unbedingt ein Infoblatt machen bezüglich solchen Sachen.

Wir waren in der ersten Januarwoche da wo es generell sehr ruhig ist in Ascona. Das Zimmer ist super zentral, Nähe Busstation und See gelegen. Das Zimmer war neu ausgestattet und hatte eine moderne und schöne Einrichtung. Frühstück hatten wir im nahegelegenen Al Porto Kaffee (sehr zu empfehlen).

Die Bettdecken sollten im Winter ein bisschen dicker sein.

Sehr schön, stilvoll und modern. Trotzdem sehr gemütlich. Eine wunderschöne Terrasse und die Lage ist wunderbar.

Es hat mir nichts nicht gefallen. Einzig das Lichtkonzept könnte wämer gestaltet werden und ein paar nützliche Dinge wie Salatsieb, Schere oder kleine Schalen könnten angeschafft werden. Das check out um 10 Uhr ist gar früh und die Kommunikation mit der Verwaltung war etwas kühl, nachdem ich diesbezüglich und wegen der Heizung nachgefragt hatte.

Wir kommen seit 46 Jahren nach Ascona. Dies war ein besonderer Aufenthalt im CCAA.

Die Ansprechpartner sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Apartment ist sehr stilvoll und mit sehr viel Romantik-Chic renoviert. Wir sind begeistert. Auch die Lage ist aussergewöhnlich.

Super tolles B&B

Ein, mit Liebe zum Detail, eingerichtetes Zimmer, genau nach unserem Style. Sehr sauber, bequem & ruhig gelegen, trotz Nähe zur See-Promenade. Auch das Frühstück am See ist sehr zu empfehlen… Auch wenn wir die Hausherrin Andrea nicht kennengelernt haben, war die Kommunikation sehr freundlich. Immer wieder gerne…

Wenn man hier überhaupt etwas reklamieren könnte, dann wäre unser Wunsch, nur einen Wasserkocher im Zimmer zu haben…

Jeder Zeit wieder und sicher zu empfehlen.

Schöne Zimmer mitten in der Altstadt und Seenähe. Mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Da es an diesem Abend sehr warm war, haben wir uns über den Standventilator im Zimmer sehr gefreut. Das Bistro im Hinterhof des Hauses lädt zu einem Drink ein bei entspannter Atmosphäre. Das Frühstück im nahe gelegenen Hotel an der Seepromenade ist super und hat alles was das Herz begehrt. Freundliches und aufmerksames Personal auch dort. Preis/ Leistung stimmt und wir kommen gerne wieder. Motorradparkplätze in der Nähe und gratis.

Wir mussten eine Weile suchen bis wir den Eingang auf richtigen Seite des Hauses und unser Zimmer gefunden haben.

Sehr zentral, mitten in der Altstadt, gelegenes kleines Hotel. Wir hatten das Apartment mit Balkon und Sicht auf den schönen Innenhof. Inneneinrichtung noch recht neu und alles vorhanden, was man benötigt, wenn man auch mal selber kochen möchte.

Die Heizung konnte man nicht herunterschalten, bzw. fehlte eine Anleitung.

Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Lage ist top, zentraler geht es fast nicht mehr. Dementsprechd war es wegen den Passanten sehr laut, sobald das Fenster offen war. Leider gab es keinen Fernseher. Die Zimmertüre ist aus Glas, was zur Folge hat, dass es in der Nacht immer hell ist. Das Bett ist sehr weich, einen Kühlschrank gibt es nicht. Für CHF 19.- kann man in der Nähe sehr gut Frühstücken (Gutschein gibt's von der Unterkunft). Das Zimmer ist sehr schön renoviert worden.

La localisation est parfaite, calme et tranquillité, surtout à cette période de l'année, lit très confortable, jolie déco et salle de bains.

Il manque un rideau occultant sur la porte d'entrée et sur la fenêtre. Il ne fait jamais vraiment nuit dans la chambre. Un souci de porte impossible à fermer n'a pu être que partiellement réglé grâce à la disponibilité des hôtes.
