Cosy Hotel with a superb Restaurant gastronomique

Great Hotel with nice functional rooms - excellent linen and bed. Take the more expensive rooms with lake view - worth it for sure. They have a great restaurant and super friendly team. Others than that 👍 you have a wonderful property and the breakfast is according to the number of stars you carry but again not an issue for us. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The only point I would raise is the pool which is old and needs serious renovation or better needs to be completely rebuild. And please put better towel quality in the rooms - it makes a difference ❤️

Gorgeous place to stay just just out of town.

The lovely upbeat helpful lady on reception who said we don't get many Australians staying, I wish I remembered her name The fabulous walk from the hotel into town. Fabulous front garden to enjoy an evening drink in.

Restaurant was good not excellent. People smoking on their balcony next door when you are a non-smoker enjoying the views from your balcony.

Nice hotel but rooms are not soundproof, stay away from room 120.

Great view and garden. Nice staff. Very good food. Everything very clean

Unfortunately, we were in room 120 which was not soundproof at all ! We could hear the kitchen in the evening until 10–11pm and than the deliveries in the morning starting at 8-8:30am. The elevator and everything that was going on in the corridor was also very well to hear.

Very nice view, very relaxing outside, great breakfast

Very very nice view from the balcony, nice swimming pool, good breakfast. Nice walk from Ascona back to the hotel, beautifully landscaped garden and terrasse.

A bit a shame that the private beach lake is away from the hotel with a relatively steep climb back up to the hotel. but in return you get the great view... :-)

Superb

Walk into Ascona ok but return very steep hill, easiest way is to take a taxi from Ascona to top of hill and walk down to hotel if you have trouble with hills like I do. Bit disappointed there is no access to lake from hotel and had to take car to Lucarno to get to lake side, we dont usually like to use car once we are at our destination but it was worth going to Lucarno as there are lovely long walks around the lake.

Gardens are beautiful and very nice to spend some time in. Close enough to Ascona to walk - altough it is exercise with the hills. Restaurant excellent! Breakfast really good.

Very caring staff, we felt really welcome there with our road bikes. The room was upgraded to a bigger one due to its availability. Absolute highlight - dinners at the restaurant. Exceptionally delicious food and very generous portions for a degustation menu. The terrace has stunning views over Lago.

The only possible improvement would be to have coffee making facilities in the room. In fact coffee machine in the room would be so very very welcome when we wake up

Amazing stay in Ascona

Staff and restaurant is amazing. We stayed for almost 5 days and had almost every dinner at the restaurant as the service and food was perfect. The swimming pool could be warmer - it was a little too cold for me. For the price, the property is fantastic.

A wonderful place with a wonderful view

Good breakfast, as you would expect from a 3 star hotel in Switzerland. Different sorts of bread, sausage, cheese and jam, coffee and juice available. Also fresh yoghurt and fruit salad. Everything is refilled asap.

A nice and quiet stay in the hills above Ascona

Located in the hills above Ascona, this hotel is very quiet. The hotel has a huge patio / garden with great views over the lake, with plenty of deck chairs, to enjoy a nice evening. The room was okay for a one night stay, If I would plan to stay longer I would upgrade to a nicer room. The small porch our room had was lovely. The breakfast buffet was good, everything needed was there. The indoor swimming pool was great for a swim in the morning and you could also see the lake from the pool, which was very nice. I would stay here again.

Great food, beautiful views, quiet, classy interior, very friendly staff. Charming environment with monster belle view from garden/veranda.

Expensive (while place is well kept the price is still bit too steep for total value as we didn’t even get lake view rooms). Little attention to enforce Covid required distance of guests (when crowded).

L’emplacement offre une vue exceptionnelle sur le lac mais également tranquillité. Possibilités de randonnées à pied ou à vélo. L’hôtel dispose d‘une piscine et d‘une petite salle fitness.

L’hôtel accueille les chiens (surcoût de 14.—/j) mais bizarrement, ils sont interdits dans la salle de restaurant… nous avons donc renoncé à tester la cuisine et sommes allés manger ailleurs.

Kein Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer. Teilweise Personal welche zuwenig gut Schweizerdeutsch verstehen und sprechen können, vorallem im Service

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen bestimmt wieder :-)

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Auch das Abendessen sowie Frühstück im hauseigenen Restaurant war sehr fein und gemütlich. Ein grosses Lob an das sehr freundliche Personal - es ist so schön zu sehen und zu erleben mit welcher Wertschätzung den Gästen begegnet wird.

Die Bettwäsche / Frottierwäsche hat sehr stark nach Duftstoffe gerochen, was ich nicht gut vertrage.

Magnifique situation, avec un jardin très agréable. L'ambiance familiale et la gentillesse du personnel sont des atouts indéniables. Le restaurant propose des plats de grandes qualités.

La piscine dans une annexe contigüe a le mérite d'exister, mais l'accès n'est pas pratique (jardin à traverser et marches d'escaliers). Une petite bouilloire/machine à café serait appréciable dans les chambres.
