It’s a really nice place for sure I will go again.

I loved the view, the warm environment our dog was allowed everywhere and had a special place for her, the food was great I was celebrating my birthday and the family had a rose for me. This details makes you feel really nice and welcome.

Worth the drive!

Breakfast was wonderful and the view out our window overlooking the lake was breathtaking.

Good location.

The location. We were there during the jazz festival and we could watch the performances from our terrace. This was the highlight. The restaurant downstairs was handy and with good food. (As this hotel is on the main strip we were wondering whether it would be noisy, especially with the festival. It wasn’t at all. The performances were only on in the evening, and they stopped at a reasonable hour).

We stayed here for two nights. I asked ahead of time for a gluten free breakfast and was delighted to be given two different types of bread on the first day, warmed and soft. Unfortunately on the second day I was offered just one type of GF bread and it was cold and hard, not really edible. The terrace in the lake view room is lovely but in the summer there is zero view of the lake with the mountains due to the trees.

The most perfect hotel once the AC is working!

This charming hotel is directly overlooking the lake. It is perfectly positioned in the beautiful old town of Ascona. The hotel had an issue with the Air Conditioning and the room was very warm but the manager was excellent and couldn’t do enough for us to make us comfortable.

We would have liked a message pre warning us that the AC was not going to be working.

Lovely hotel in a great location

The location on the lake was amazing and we were right in the centre of the historical old town. The staff were very nice and the room was spotless. We also had a kettle, coffee machine and fridge which were very useful.

We had a room on the 3rd floor (under the roof) that got VERY hot during the night. Because the jazz was on that weekend we couldn't open the window because of the loud music and so it was very uncomfortable

The view and the service was good

The bedsheets and pillow covers were bleached to death so much so that it turned our eyes red, dried out our skin and throats. Breakfast could have been better for vegetarians

It was clean

the Hotel is in a pedestrian zone and doesn’t have parking. If you are coming by taxi, no problem however if you are coming by car it might be a problem.
