A lovely hotel but disappointed by lack of transparency and also the weakness of the shower!

It felt luxurious and swanky, location was excellent for walking to the beach!

The shower was rubbish, the enclosure and the shower room was clean and just fine but the shower head itself was weak and had to be handheld for coverage, and I’m not big! Also I was really miffed that even though I had booked for bringing my dog with me it was not stated on booking.com that this would cost me an extra 29€ at the front desk on checking out, which was aggravating and embarrassing! I would not have chosen to stay at this hotel had I known previously that it would cost me the extra as there was plenty of other accommodation whereby the price did reflect the cost of my hound staying too! I feel hoodwinked!

Nice, but not nice enough for the money

Close to the beach and classy atmosphere, but overall not classy enough for the money they charge.

The Hotel was nearly empty, but we were given rooms far away from everything with no view on anything. I don’t need seaview, but to pay nearly 200 Euros for a dark room with no charm whatsoever and no light coming in from nowhere is just not what I would expect from a hotel with this pricing and category. Talking about value for money: the extra cost for a simple breakfast buffet is 22€ per person. Just a few feet away is a nice bakery. Much better and only a fracture from what they ask at the hotel.

A gorgeous hotel to wind down after a hard day on the GR34

After a 50km day walking the GR34 we were very pleased to walk through the doors of the Diane. The reception staff were very welcoming to two very tired walkers, the room was super clean, the beds comfy and the shower very needed. At 100 years old in 2025 it is showing no signs of neglect - if you are thinking of booking you won't be disappointed.

Perfect location for exploring the northern coast

The hotel is in a calm location at less than 500 metres from the beach. The location is excellent for exploring the nearby coasts and visiting the lighthouse of Cap Fréhel. The staff of the hotel is very friendly. The breakfast was varied, with a very pleasant calm atmosphere in the breakfast room. My room itself had all necessary amenities from hairdryer, safe etc. Unfortunately I had no occasion to explore the hotel's culinary delights as the restaurant was fully booked. A good reason to return. .

Excellent for bike tourers

Great location close to beach and restaurants. Secure bike storage in locked private garage. Fluffy dressing gowns and towels. Friendly helpful staff. Very modern but classic fitout of old building.

Superb

We only stayed for a night. I really liked the neighbourhood and the hotel itself. The breakfast was perfect. Our room was pretty small, but worked for our purposes. Glutenfree bread was available and also some glutenfree cakes were part of breakfast. We charged our electric car overnight for 10 EUR.

very warm, welcoming and helpful staff. they truly take care of their guests. restaurant is great for dinner - great food, decent drinks and wine selection

Breakfast could be of better variety. Location not the best for our purposes - far from highway and to get to main attraction in the area (Mont-Saint-Michele, Saint-Malo etc…) we had to drive 45 min only to get to the highway. But we booked it quite late, so might not be relevant comment for those who target this area. Room is quite basic for 4 stars. bathroom separated with a toilet was quite annoying - you need to cross the room to wash your hands and in family room chance its busy are high, just not practical as to me. but overall we liked our stay.

Central and near the beach. Artistically decorated. Large and free parking facility.

No air conditioning so opening window to keep cool resulted in it being very noisy as close to the main road.Also room at front so disturbed at 06:30 by noisy delivery van and driver unloading supplies.

Old fashioned elegance

Spacious elegant hotel recently refurbished to a high standard. Bedrooms and public areas alike. Visible efforts towards a more environmentally friendly approach. The menu at dinner is imaginative but could prove a bit OTT for long stays. Excellent choice of good wine by the glass. Lots of books, puzzles available. Situated in the middle of the small resort, about half a kilometre from beachfront. Very quiet in December!
