I booked to stay one night in Blackpool and decided to stay at the Number One Hotel in the southern part of the town. Prior to my stay I got a message from the hotel to confirm my booking and what time I would be arriving. I tried to reply to the email but was not able to so I called them instead and everything was sorted.
I was travelling by train and the hotel is not too far from the Blackpool Pleasure Beach railway station so I got off there and with the help of google maps was able to find the hotel quite easily.
I got checked in OK and was shown to my room by the receptionist. There is a lift to get up and down to floors and it is big enough for a small mobility scooter. There is also a staircase. When coming back to the hotel late at night your key card for the room will also open the front door.
I was in the Baroque room which has a sea view. MY GOODNESS! WHAT A ROOM! It was so nice! I felt very special. My room had a huge double bed, a sofa and a lovely bathroom with a bath with a jacuzzi feature.
I slept really well in my comfy bed and the next morning decided to try the jacuzzi feature which was brilliant. I really had a relaxing time in the bath. There were plenty of toiletries provided as well as bath salts to give the bath a little fizz.
There were also tea, coffee and biscuits available.
I had booked breakfast for 8:30 am and there was a selection of fruit and cereals available and I had requested a full cooked breakfast which was lovely. I also asked for green tea and this was provided too.
The staff were all really lovely. Very chatty and I felt very relaxed and welcome.
If you want a stay with an extra special bit of luxury when in Blackpool then I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Very clean and well decorated, nothing looked tired or dated which was a nice change.
Lovely small touches like dressing gown and slippers provided which I indulged in for the first time ever
My husband enjoyed the spa bath and Tv
The room was quiet but a little warm due to it being south facing
The hosts were an absolute delight and chatted away like old friends, we felt like we’d know them for years
Breakfast was lovely but be aware if you order porridge and a cooked breakfast, the porridge portion was quite big
Lots of options for breakfast and I feel that if you wanted something a little extra it wouldn’t have been any bother for them

Great location away from the centre but very near a tram stop. Hosts were extremely welcoming and happy to assist in anyway. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice and even able to customise further upon request. Room very bright and was informed it would be getting a facelift 2 days after we checked out. Lots of lovely little touches, box of items in the room which guests may have forgot to bring. Even got an Easter egg on Easter Sunday.
Furniture a little dated but was getting changed.

Just back from an Easter break & this B&B was exceptional from the minute we walked through the doors, the decor was 2nd to none. The host's couldn't have done anything more for us to make our stay any better, the rooms were the best I've ever stayed in, warm & very comfortable, great choice of breakfasts every morning met by Claire & her husband, they even left us Easter eggs on the Sunday morning, cannot fault this place whatsoever, so if your ever in blackpool this is definitely thee best place to stay, everything was so handy to get to, I can see now why its called number one south beach as it's definitely 1 on the chart.
I can honestly say I've no faults with this B&B
