Very nicely decorated. Walking distance from everything
They promised us early breakfast as we were leaving early, but somehow forgot our agreement.

The location and staff were exceptional! Super friendly and gave us great recommendations. The room was very spacious and beds were very comfortable.
One minor comment is that one of the bedrooms had a rather thin wooden door with windows which meant it was susceptible to light and noise at night.

Stylish and modern, nice yard. Helpful stuff.
Good breakfast.
Every time you arrive you have to ring at the gate and wait for girl who will open the gate. Bed was narrow for two people. And a bit overpriced for our room, don’t know about others.

Great location
Nice ambience.
Rooms were large.
- The hotel disappeared from booking.com before we arrived. Which gave the impression it was closing.
- Staff were demotivated, leading us to think the hotel was closing.
- Breakfast was weak and served between 8.30 and 10am.
- None of the advertised additional services were available.

The room was very spacious, great kitchenette, lovely staff, the house is gorgeous, common areas very pleasant, good location.
Getting in and out of the house requires a staff member to open the door, and sometimes that can be tricky.

Location, breakfast was good. Staff are nice.
Not the property’s fault, but the dog barking all day long next door is crazy irritating after awhile.

The location is great. Its right in a safe residential area close to the cathedral, zocolo, bars and restaurants. The breakfasts was nice and it was good to mix with the other guests.
We didnt like our initial balcony room which faced the noisy street. There is not much of a balcony anyway. However, the staff moved us to a very quite room at the back of the hotel. The hotel is in a lively area with lots of club music especially on weekends.

Beautiful, spacious and quiet hotel in the heart of town. Breakfast was a good way to start the day.
Bothered by a few mosquitoes in the evening.

It was conveniently located, It was clean, they served breakfast. Security was good.
Esthetics were tasteful.
There was a lot of conversation noise that came through the walls traveling upstairs throughout the open spaces courtyards kitchen and lobby into our room. and there was a good amount of street noise that came through the lobby.

The building is beautiful, the rooms spacious! Location is perfect, at a walking distance from the center of Oaxaca
We had a room facing the main road and the window was very thin, we could hear all the noise from the street. We could also hear when staff was sweeping the leafs around (above?) our room, which they were doing at 6am
Plus, the house has this odd dynamic where you don’t get a key to the main door and you always need to ring a bell. From our room, we could hear everytime the bell was being rung (at 7am but also at 1am). One day we wanted to leave at 6am and had to ring the bell a couple of times until someone came to open it for us (we ended up late and I’m sure the guests that were asleep ended up awake). A better solution needs to be found!

Very clean, light, and spacious.
Some aircon, and a smart tv on the wall for the evenings would be nice.

The property is very clean and my room was quite quiet even though the location is a few blocks from the zocola. There are lovely and spacious common areas to relax in and I was happy to learn that a simple, but lovely breakfast was included with a different hot item each day, like scrambled eggs or eggs and beans. The property was also secure with 24 hour front staff.
Including a note about ringing the door bell when first arriving would have been helpful.

everything
breakfast - just one meal - one option - and with meat sometimes - I am vegetarian - this would need to be improved - to add vegetarian or vegan option and ask before

Great location, great security bedroom spacious. Staff tried hard.
No elevator, with heavy bags to get to the second floor.
Very hard bed, that some may like. Attention to detail, for example there was a coffee machine in reception, which we found the day we left, no one had thought to tell us it was there for our use.

Great location, helpful & kind staff, spacious room, comfortable beds, beautiful courtyard & design, good breakfast, luggage storage & flexible checkout, 24 hour concierge, very safe.
No major complaints. Mosquitos in courtyard; safe didn’t work, but we forgot to ask about it. A tv in the room would be nice.

Spacious, super clean, cosy, luminous and beautiful aesthetics. The owners and staff have spent a lot of time thinking how to make you immediately feel at home. Hands down best place to stay in Oaxaca!

The rooms were very beautiful, big and comfortable!
It would have been good if breakfast was served earlier, because we had a events starting at 9 am and breakfast was served at 8:30.

The place is very beautiful, spacious and clean. The outside looks like a Mexican hacienda with a big garden with places to sit and relax. Located in the center of the city within walking distance of restaurants, churches and markets.
I reserved 4 rooms for my family and only my room had a TV with bad signal. They did not have a TV in their rooms.
I did not like that breakfast is only served from 830 to 10 since most tours pick people up before 8am. We could never have breakfast since it started so late.

We liked that it was centrally located. It was clean, and the staff were lovely and very accommodating.
Shower pressure.

Very mixed feeling about this property. The location is great, and the rooms are very spacious. The decor is some kind of "cool industrial" design. There was air con in my room, which made the summer month stay bearable. Breakfast was changed every day (although when they ran out of cereal/granola, they didn't replace it the following day) However, I wouldn't return to this property and wouldn't recommend it.
The bathtub was disgustingly old, with stains and soap scum from years of use. It was almost impossible to close the curtains, as the design didn't allow for a proper "slide". The staff, while polite and courteous, do not go very far to accommodate guest requests, even giving an answer for example if early check in is possible. The front door of the proeprty was always locked, which meant always waiting for someone from the staff to open it.

The front desk women were helpful and friendly. My room was spacious and had plenty of hangars and a rack for my clothes. Daily cleaning service was good. My bathroom was spacious. Good hot water, only thing I would change is the shower head it needs to be bigger so the water doesn’t feel like little needles (😉). The included breakfast always had beautiful fresh fruit, yogurt and granola. Good coffee also. The breakfast entree was medium. Never bad , just underwhelming. The inner garden is gorgeous and lots of places to enjoy nature . It was very safe as the front gate/entrance was always locked and always had someone to handle entrance and exit. I slept with my windows open 😊 A quiet and serene place.
The only little hiccup was the room I saw and chose online had a sitting couch. I was given a room with NO couch. So I asked if possible to have one. They happily brought one the next day 😊, but the futon cushion wouldn’t fold properly and kept sliding off. So it wasn’t really useable.

Overall, Agradó was beautifully designed with a natural, minimalist and creative aesthetic. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and bright with large windows and a huge bathroom, and situated on a tree-lined not too busy street. Breakfast was decent and plentiful. They offer luggage service.
My only complaint is that the room I selected on booking.com was not the room issued to me when I checked in, not even close.

Environmentally friendly, big room and very comfortable bed.
We really enjoyed our stay at Agrado Hotel. The atmosphere is calm and stylish, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff are warm and welcoming, they even offered us a drink as welcome. Great location for exploring Oaxaca. Breakfast was very nice although very small and only 1 option.
Do not miss the coffee van right in the corner outside the hotel (we had the best Mexican beans coffee in Mexico)!
We had a spray of water instead of proper water coming from the shower, I had to wash my hair in the sink to get better flow of water so we thought to save water this is how it works! But on our last night in the hotel the water flow was so much better, we were just unlucky but we helped the environment and the city that struggle to get water during dry season!
There is a lot of noise from the street, dog barking from next door house and no air conditioning in the room, difficult to sleep when it s over 30 degrees in the evening, we left the window open but than in the early morning we had to close it as too much noise from outside.

Excellent, central location. Common areas were peaceful to sit and work in. Staff were very sweet and helpful.
My room wasn’t air conditioned and had no windows for airflow. Staff helped me move to a room with windows after the first night, which I greatly appreciated. Breakfast starts late (8:30am), there are no hair dryers, and the always-locked front gate feels like a fire hazard and imposition for coming and going.

The property itself it’s absolutely beautiful, a big colonial house with a nice and fresh courtyard. The location is simply amazing, everything is walking distance from this place. Nice and freshly made breakfast and very lovely and helpful staff :D
There’s no air con in the rooms. I understand they’re trying to keep the traditional charm of how life used to be but the room geez VERY hot at night and it’s hard to fall/ stay asleep. We couldn’t sleep with the balcony door open as it was facing the main road and it would get noisy… apart from that everything was great!

This guest house is in an excellent location in city center with peaceful, well kept grounds. We had the apartment with terrace and it was super spacious with a private deck. The bed was big and comfy, and we really appreciated the convenience of the filtered water in the room. The front desk staff is very friendly, helpful, and speak excellent English. The cleaning staff was also kind and accommodating.
The bathroom in the apartment w terrace (can’t speak to other room types) desperately needs an update. The shower with horrible water pressure was like trying to bath with a hose. The sink was tiny and so low (like mid thigh) I really couldn’t use it for anything except washing my hands. We ended up using the kitchen sink for brushing teeth, washing face, etc. Keep in mind there is no AC, which I think would be fine in moderate weather as the apartment is mostly in the shade, but it was 90 degrees when we were there so the heat got a little uncomfortable in the late afternoons.

The Agrado Guest House is in a fantastic location, with friendly staff and clean, comfortable accommodations. The courtyards are beautiful and the abundance of plants keeps the place cooled down. Our room had AC, which was really nice for sleeping, but since it does cool off quite a bit at night, it's not even necessary considering how cool the rooms stay anyway. When we needed something or had questions during the day, the front desk was always accommodating and helpful. We arrived early and while our room wasn't ready for our early arrival, the front desk safely locked away our bags until we could check-in. It was quiet at night and truly could not have asked for a better location - away from the hustle but close enough to walk to everything. I would absolutely stay here again!
1. We specifically booked an air-conditioned room "with a patio." The "patio" was more like a fenced-in box facing a wall with no chairs or anything. Just rocks and an h-vac system. Not the end of the world since there is plenty of comfortable, quiet seating throughout the courtyard areas. Just wasn't what we were expecting for the room we paid for, so I wish this was more clearly outlined.
2. I scheduled a time with the front desk for a taxi to pick us up for the airport. No problems there. However, I ended up having to push our time up earlier and so I went back down to the front desk to ask them if they could move the time up. They said this wouldn't be an issue and I saw them write down my new time of departure. When it came time to leave for our very early flight the next morning, there was no one at the front desk to help us out. Everything was completely dark and we had to frantically find someone who was still on shift to help us. This person had zero information left from the previous person about our flight, the taxi number - any of it - so he didn't know who to call. Our new time to leave was clearly never relayed to the taxi driver so we left in a panic when he showed up 10 minutes late. Thankfully, we all made our flights without issue. But not being able to find someone on staff and the non-communication between staff made for a really stressful experience.
3. A staff member needs to let you in AND out everytime you come up to or leave the property. This wasn't a huge issue, just a bit of a minor annoyance. It would be helpful if guests staying had their own keys to come in and out of the property without bothering a staff member to do it.

The location is great, the property itself is nice, and the room was spacious
Not great value for money. The bathroom door for the room we had was broken, so the bathroom door would not stay shut. For the price we were paying (5,000 pesos per night), it is pretty unacceptable to not have a functional bathroom. There appear to be much nicer places in Oaxaca, so I would not stay here again.
