We had a gigantic room on the second floor which included an enormous bathroom and a huge terrace. Breakfast was included in our room rate, and was more than ample with freshly squeezed orange juice, hot chocolate or coffee, bread, over half a dozen local egg preparations and other local favorites. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating.
It was all good

Location was great, staff very good
Room had no windows other than one that opened to a courtyard which was used for breakfast and guest hangout area. So the window shutters had to be kept closed which made it oppressive.

Close in to the cultural center of the old city on a relatively quiet street, comfortably upgraded and maintained with a lovely and attentive staff.
Really the only thing we had any issues with was a hard mattress on the king bed! But we got used to it, especially after long days of walking.

The loveliest staff, Ana is a precious person; loved spending time on the terrace connected to our room; wonderful, less busy location just north of Santo Domingo.
Mexican beds can be rather hard

An outstanding hotel in a great location. The room was very large and quiet. Wood beams on the ceiling and stucco walls gave it a local feeling. Large bathroom with plenty of hot water. Freshly cooked breakfast with good choices were delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was centrally located so we could easily walk to many nearby attractions. Breakfast was excellent! All freshly made and abundant. It was great to start our day with this meal. Service by the morning staff was also wonderful, especially the lady who received us when we arrived early on our first day. She was so kind and provided us coffee and tips/maps of the area for exploring. We were also able to leave our bags there before our check-in time and after check-out. Gracias!
While our room was nice it didn't have an outdoor window. It was also right next to the kitchen/restaurant so we could hear everything. There were also mosquitos in the room. The staff gave us something to ward them off but we still got bit by them :(

The room was great large beautiful comfortable bed. Great art!! Fantastic location. Great large and beautiful bathroom. Our window faced the outside so could not really open it due to privacy issue and because it was right in line with the sidewalk . Breakfast was excellent especially in the upstairs terrace. The staff could not be better. Well prepared, knowledgeable staff , especially Ms Ana! I would stay again but upstairs with access to the terrace.
Just having a window that we could freely open. And the bathroom lighting could be improved.

Lovely old house beautiful furnishings in our room and a good breakfast!
I was disappointed with the lack of facilities, we had read about a bar, which was permanently closed and any extras were booked externally. Also it was disappointing to arrive to a young lady with no English, be given our room key and no welcome at all. But this changed when Anna came on duty in the morning.

The helpful staff, great location very close to all the historic city sites without being next door to the loud late night noisy bars.
We wish it had an interior garden, otherwise a perfect place to stay.

This is a beautiful very small hotel, in the best location for central Oaxaca’s sights and amazing food/culture. We stayed in the large suite with terrace overlooking the mountains — big enough to have a party. The hotel staff was very helpful and attentive.
The traffic noise on the front-facing rooms (there are only about six rooms in the hotel) started pretty early in the am. The air conditioning fan wouldn’t go to the low, quieter setting. But these are small points and didn’t affect our stay.

The room was great, featuring a big terrace. The location was central, safe and convenient to walk everywhere. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight too.
The church bell early in the morning, but what can you do

Everything about this property was exceptional! The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The location cannot be beat, it is just a short walk from everything you'd want to do and see in Oaxaca. The breakfast was delicious, and they even offered to serve it to us on our Terraza.
No complaints - the hotel is wonderful!

The positives are many: the red room is very large, quiet (except daily, early gongs from the next door church), spacious and comfortable. There's a large, semi-private terrace with a great view (until the business across the street installed on Sunday massive LP gas tanks on the roof to obstruct the view) shared with the green room with easy access for the restaurant to serve breakfast. The red room is the best room with a huge tub and 2 large doors opening to its terrace while the green room has only one with additional windows facing inward. The morning breakfast service was extremely efficient with a shout out to Ino, who is friendly, attentive and prompt. There's a safe, a small refrigerator and plenty of seating. The location is very good, being close to many sites and excellent restaurants.
With that said, the wifi is terrible, weak and spotty. And the tub with its rigged shower head is a falling hazard; the fiberglass shower floor has warped and is very unstable.

Very friendly staff - the best part about the hotel. We had a huge room on the top floor - the red room with a terrace. It was a comfortable place to stay for a week.
The included breakfast was somewhat sparse, but you could order eggs if you wanted them. The decor in the breakfast area was a little plain. Also, on a couple of nights there was some noise from a bar a few doors down, but the amazing staff at the hotel said they would ask the bar to turn down the bass.

people were friendly, location and overall property is clean and well maintained.
my room was too hot in the night, airconditioner didn’t work so opened windows - bringing in street noise and light.
hot water was tough in the bathroom.

The location was outstanding. Very close to Santa Domingo church (2 blocks) and a five minute walk to the Zocolo (very busy all the time). The hotel was on a street with lots of good restaurants and bars. Only a few steps and you could be at any of them.
Staff at the hotel were very kind and welcoming.
Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable.
The only thing I could say that was a negative is that it would have been nice to have a fridge in the room.

The room was large, clean, and the bed was very comfortable.
No elevator since my mother is elderly and has knee problems, however it was hard to accommodate due to the booking being done too close to a peak season.

Could have used a little more lighting in the bathroom.

Great location for everything in Oaxaca. Lovely helpful staff who helped us arrange things during our stay.
We didn’t have the breakfast whilst we were there so can’t speak of that.
Our room happened to be on the front of the property on the street which was totally fine, just a government building up the road which had a very long queue of people waiting to go at all times which was a bit odd to open the window and see. Not really a complaint as it wasn’t noisy or disruptive, just might not be to everyone’s preference.

The location for first time traveler is superb. Just minutes to all the must-see sites and safe area. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The staff were all most polite and helpful. i needed assistance with booking internal flight and coach ticket and Carina was so patient and helpful.
i would have preferred yellow lighting especially on the bedside lamps which were all white lights. The decor of the hotel can be better based on these rates.

The staff was incredible, every one if them. Anna was a lifesaver for helping navigate the covid requirements.
Awesome location, gorgeous and spacious room, lovely breakfast.
Excellent AC.
Coffee in room would have been nice as breakfast does not start till 7:30

Perfect location -- in a quiet street but still a very close 5-min walk to the Zocalo. Staff are fantastic. We had an outside balcony overlooking the street and they brought our breakfast up to us and set it up outside. Rly nice.
