In summer there are perfect places outside to enjoy a glass of wine. What more do you want. We have already recommended it to friends.

Superb

Wonderful location at the end of a country lane with stunning views of the countryside and Dartmoor beyond. It is very peaceful with only the sound of cows and sheep in the nearby fields. Sally is an excellent hostess and nothing is too much trouble. There is a shared lounge with TV and comfortable sofas. The bed was very comfortable and I had three good night's sleep.

Wonderful friendly host, excellent location, good breakfast, shared lounge, plenty of tea and coffee.

It didn't bother me, but anyone expecting a power shower will be disappointed. The property is at the top of a hill in a beautiful rural location and as a consequence the water pressure is low. There was a bath though so you can have a soak instead.

Everything was perfect, very comfortable bed, clean room, modern bathroom, very roomy, great hosts, very friendly and welcoming, superb breakfast. Great location, very easy to find due to the good signage at end of lane. The views across the valley were magnificent

The TV in the room had poor signal and kept crashing (but not the end of the world)

Breakfast good as was the facilities, no problem.

Intended to park up and walk using public transport but location isolated and bus service infrequent so car a necessity. This is my fault for not checking out my requirements before hand.

Great Getaway!

I had a wonderful stay. Everything had a very homely feel, and I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. Sally, the host; is very friendly and checked in with me in the mornings and offered breakfast and support in finding my way around the area. It was due to the kindness of the host and the beautiful views that made this a particularly magical getaway. The home is divided by a wall, with just one door from the hosts side of the home into the rented side of the home. Having my own space really made me feel comfortable and relaxed, but at the same time, if I needed anything, all I had to do was knock, and Sally was always there to help. Im not usually one to return to places, preferring to explore new places but everything was so idealic, with the peaceful walks along the moors and beautiful scenery, I would absolutely love to return for another getaway. Thank you for making my stay a very happy one.

Everything was fine. Just tiny details like the toilet paper wasn't easy to reach. The approach drive could do with some attention.

Lovely Location Nice Owners

The owners are lovely. Really friendly and knowledgeable. The location is a bit out of the way, but the views are wonderful. Stanley the cat and Roscoe the dog are also great.

The bedrooms are up in the loft, so ceilings are a bit low in places and it was pretty warm in them, but it was okay

Fantastic location, fantastic views, brilliant breakfast, Sally and Malcolm are more than hosts they become friends. Private entrance with kitchen facilities, a living room and good sized bedrooms. We will return again and again.

Fantastic guesthouse on the moor with a mean breakfast

Lovely guesthouse setup right on the moor. Very comfy homely rooms with everything you need ans a big lounge room for families. Sally is incredibly friendly and helpful and knows the area super well. She also cooks a mean breakfast which you get to enjoy with a beautiful view! Definitely recommend.

The bathrooms only have baths - shower room is elsewhere on the property. Didn’t bother us for one night but worth noting.

Lovely stay !

Great stay ! I loved the place. Nice welcome by the owner, the lovely Sally. Very quiet in the middle of the countryside.... and remote from the main road. Cosy room with possibility to use the guests kitchen downstairs with fridge and tea making stuff. I arrived rather late in the evening so the lovely lady called me to check where I was.... and she did well because I was a bit lost ! My satnav has lost the plot visibly ! But eventually got there safely. Very nice cooked breakfast ! Wifi working fine.

We could only have a bath in the bathroom next to the room but we can have a proper shower on the other side of the house. So not an issue here. The only little thing that's been a tad annoying is that bright light coming from the fire detector alarm on the ceiling flashing every 5 seconds. That light is rather strong for such a small device ! But tbh it's just a detail !
