Fantastic!

A lovely large pub in a rural setting, which serves fantastic food. The manager Barry was very welcoming the minute we arrived, and kept our friends and us smiling throughout our stay. The breakfast was locally sourced and beautifully cooked. I wanted to stay an extra night and try their evening menu, which looked amazing. Next time....

Difficult to get taxis if you're eating at the Coppa Dollar 9 mins down the road, however Barry kindly sorted our taxis for us - we couldn't have asked for more!

the included breakfast was OK, the paid breakfast was a bit expensive. Evening restaurant meals were good, served & well presented by staff.

Vehicle access, some room facilities were did not work, TV remote (battery? ), radiator TRV, bottom two draws on dressing table were jammed, one of them had a handle hanging off, We did not mention them as we did not intend to use them.

The Sea Trout Inn is fantastic! Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had dinner which was delicious and breakfasts are to die for with a great choice. I would highly recommend!

Breakfast and dinner were delicious and serving staff helpful, polite and friendly. Room comfortable. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and outside garden.

Not hotels problem really, but, taxi back from wedding venue proved a problem. Advice would be to secure taxi if needed well in advance and confirmation they will actually turn up.

Quality stay for a fair price

I has a dance workshop at Hartington center and this was the only available place close by. I wasn't sure about it at first, however I must say it was one of my best stays in the UK, amazingly friendly staff, good food for fair price and they listen to all your requests w.r.t. the food, I had both breakfast and dinners there. Very quiet rooms despite the fact that the building looks quite old. On the first day, I couldn't find a cab to take me to Hartington and the staff was so lovely that they gave me a lift. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

The connection is poor in the rooms, however I didn't mind, as I wanted to chill and rest anyways. You can always sit in the bar or the garden if you need high speed internet.

EXCELLENT URBAN COMFORT IN THE ENGLISH FOREST

Professional and kind staff. Building surrounded by plenty of fresh nature. Comfortable interior garden. Good restaurant with flavorful food. Location: by car, less than ten minutes away from the town. Taxi is an option, by bus? Any option! There is a church by walking five minutes. Public mini - library, you can take books and leave one pound for each one.

In advance, I asked if any option to reach the place by bus however, I didn't get reply about. It is a rude gesture. Its reply should be o could be: "there is not...".

Very enjoyable and just what we needed.

Warm welcome from the host, nicely furnished spacious room with a bath, comfortable beds, good food, plenty of parking. Lovely walk past the church and along the river.

Shower ran off bath taps and was difficult to control. Walls between rooms quite thin and some noise from other rooms. Breakfast was a la carte rather than buffet style.

My wife and I could not attend our break due to my ill health, phoned and explained that two friends were attending in our place , they arranged a twin bedded room and nothing was too much trouble. Our friends enjoyed their stay very much and said the food was excellent. they would certainly return.

What a lovely place! Lovely quiet location and a lovely pub. Our room was so comfortable and clean, we loved it. We also ate breakfast in the morning which was excellent/good value. I would highly recommend this place.

The staff were extremely accommadating and went beyond the call of duty to make our stay enjoyable.

We cannot comment on the restaurant as our time table for the weekend precluded it. We enjoyed our breakfast and I have no doubt that we would have also enjojed a dinner had our itinerary permitted.
